Thank you so much for taking the time to figure out and demonstrate the best ways to apply this product. It's frustrating because it really is an ideal formula for any makeup wearers living in climates where things are more liable to melt off or fade quickly, or wear masks and need something more transfer-resistant, but even the brand's own marketing shows application methods that are going to set buyers up for failure. I've seen plenty of others here on YT who've struggled with having it immediately stamp on their faces and refuse to blend out, and they wound up dismissing the product entirely because it seems impossible to work with. I get that showing this jelly stick being swiped on models' cheeks looks more appealing, but that's the literal worst way to put it on lol. Really appreciate your detailed breakdown of the pros and cons of the alternatives, and I love the versatility of the Rituelle De Fille blushes. I do think Milk has made an intriguing and worthwhile product; it has its place and use. When I'm in a better financial situation I was curious to play around with one of them for underpainting purposes beneath a sheer/light foundation or tinted moisturizer.

I find Cha Cha Tint and Play Tint stay on well under my mask! And they're creamier than Benetint. Also usually on sale, or sometimes they have a little set of minis!

I really love this product- I have three. I love how sheer they are. Perhaps it’s my experience with Asian beauty, as well as the fact that I don’t use foundation (I’m a color corrector and spot concealer lady), but I intuitively knew to either use my finger or dab on a brush. I agree that it’s best for use with “thin” products.

Wonder how long it takes for it to dry out and become an icky gummy worm in a tube? 😅

Did I need this? No. Did I buy this? Yes. Why? It brought me joy. It was more wiggly than the Undone Beauty version, but showed up the same. I got the berry shade. I mostly wanted it for swiping on in the summer and I found it terrific on the lips. I wanted that berry color. There were clear stick “face glazes” put out by Max Factor in the seventies. Ultalucent Face Glazes. Those were a bit oily. But there is really nothing new under the sun. I got the Rituel de Filles but the tablet came loose out of the compact (bad glue?) and I wound up really struggling with it.

When we need her most, she appears! Thank you Amanda, your in-depth reviews are always incredibly helpful.

As soon as I saw this, I was reminded of the Tarte cheek stains, which have been around (on and off) for years. I wonder if they'll finally bring them back to stay after this.

If you apply by dabbing a brush on to the product and then the cheeks, its flawless. And then I find that you can actually swipe in directly onto the skin to build and it works out fine

I did - to save for spring/summer. I sweat like nobody else I have ever met. In summer heat I do not wear foundation because it slides off- I do wear blush which also wears off. So this Might be a solution for my sweat!

I can tell that for my oily skin that is literally eating blush the milk and benetint ones are going to be the best since i dont use creamy products. The product i find is also cooling, stains and has good lasting pigment is from max factor their miracle gel blushes that come in sticks and there are a few beautiful shades! I appreciate this thorough review and comparison to Benetint! I already use and enjoy Benetint, so I was curious about the new Milk product. Agree that Benetint is more user friendly. Also thanks for confirming that “chill” is basically going to be redundant with Benetint. That would have been my first choice in shade, but I ended up going with “spritz” just to have some variety. The orange wasn’t the most flattering on my lips but it was fun to try anyhow. I’m not mad I bought the Milk jelly tint but I don’t think I’ll repurchase- Benetint is still my fave!

Tarte had a product like this years and years ago. I think they were more of this stain style than the older Milk blush sticks. However, they were much larger tubes and kind of unwieldy.

Yes, they did bring them back a couple of years ago as limited edition but they're still available. They are so nice. I might go get another shade.

Thank you for another thorough video! This is definitely a novelty product that I don't need to spend the money on. I love buying new blushes (even though I really don't need them), but I'm quite happy to skip this. I have Cha Cha tint and Play Tint - they are gorgeous. And you're right, they play so nicely with all textures of base! And they're creamier than Benetint as you said. I know some people don't like how watery Benetint is, so I highly recommend giving the others a try! What eyeshadow were you wearing when you applied the first Rituel de Fille blush? So pretty! 😍

I am sure that I had something super similar back in the day, from the drugstore. I think it was from Covergirl but can’t remember for sure. I got it for the texture back then too. I am a lover of all things gummy 😂

Thank you I really appreciate the video. I love the benefit and use that as a lip stain too. I have the undone and like that as well. . I think you showing and explaining how to use was the best. I have used Daniel Sandler’s liquid blushes and various Korean lip/cheek stains, seeing how you would best apply this is very useful. I use the Chanel Water Fresh Tint face as well as their cheek and it so I’m thinking this would be a good product together. Thanks for the video.

My favourite way to apply the benefit tints is to use a flat sponge ( very specifically the kind you get in bb cream pacts ) they are thin but very bouncy / smooth and it really blends tints out seamlessly

Hey Amanda! I was wondering if you’ve tried the Ultra brand stains. The shades look really pretty. I’ve been thinking about picking some up. And they’re only 10 bucks. Waiting for another sale since ulta brand tends to get reduced often.

Thanks for this, because I was so taken back by the gentle flush and dewey finish. I'm very picky about blush formula so I was looking for dupes. Because no way am I spending $24 for one make up item.

I remembered we had something like this back in korea in 2014 from the brand Tony moly or was it etude house I forgot but they discontinued it

I just caved the other day and bought two of the shades. Chill I wanted also and got it from the milk website since it’s sold out on Sephora. I favor a light base in general and am excited to try these.

Admit I haven’t watched yet, but the staining feature of this product makes it a yes for me. Can’t wait till mine get here. But then again-I’m blushed obsessed and use like 4 to 5 with my daily makeup.

I like lip stains but in a stick/solid format. It's so hard to find! Anyone have recommendations let me know! Thank you. I don't know any other brand besides Holika Holika Water Vibe Tint. I don't like liquids or using wands. PH lipsticks are nice. I have them in traditional bullets but they stain all similarly, a hot pink/magenta color. These jelly tints by Milk Makeup might be what I am looking for in a lipstick (don't think I'll use it for my cheeks). Not too thrilled at the price though.

Yess that's exactly a reason why this caught my eye. I want a stain in a stick. I feel like the staining waterproof power is better in a stick form and easier to apply both on cheeks and lips.

i would say burst & chill are the most similar! burst is cooler/pinker than chill so ig it’s up to your preference!

I have all the colors in this and this is a beautiful product. I don’t get all the reviews warning about the blend etc, it’s blends out beautifully even when applied directly to the face. It’s not difficult to use at all. Everyone is freaking out about how exactly to use it and I don’t get the alarm at all. It is easy to use, it blends out wonderfully, no warning labels necessary.

Maybe it is just the shade used here, but this blush does not look very pigmented, even with all the layers Amanda applied.

the wet sponge does soak up product! A brush is a better bet I think for building pigment

@@AmandaZ Yep, the brush application was helpfully mentioned in the video, but it still did not seem to make a significant difference. Perhaps it was due to the bright lighting that you mentioned. Maybe that dulled the look of more product applied. Regardless, the video was super helpful and I appreciate all the work you put into it.

I do want your take on this but the product doesn’t interest me at all. I like a softer blush and I like powders mostly. I don’t like using the same product on my lips and my face. I would prefer this as a lip product but I wouldn’t want that big stick put the blush on.

Far too many stipulations to make this product work ideal. I only feel compelled to purchase it just so I can giggle it, otherwise, it's not desirable in my opinion. I've lived through cheek stains once already and I hated them then too😂

Milk Makeup is a brand that should have gone bankrupt a long time ago. They released a skin tint with an awful roller on top and that’s just one example. Their mascara is the worst thing that has happened to eyelashes since mud around the eyes and in general their packaging is just a pile of BS. The only descent thing they had the last 5 years is a gloss/lip balm hybrid but yet again packaging is like a 5 grader’s glue. This brand should just stop harassing us with its awful, low quality makeup. Thanks.

I'll admit that the formula and overall effect of the Milk Makeup stain interests me, but I personally cannot abide by the packaging. It looks childish and it doesn't look sophisticated. Maybe they're trying to hit a different demographic, but it looks.....cheap?

I love glossy luxurious packaging and I love cute, so I was very attracted, 😅 but I'm stopping myself because that's not a reason to drop this much money on a mere lip tint colour (I only use powder blush)
