    My takeaway is that women don’t like unnaturally large physiques. The keyword is unnatural. Just like most guys tend to look at women with unnatural looking boob jobs, bbls, lip filler, etc negatively for long term relationships. These things can be disregarded quickly in the heat of the moment, under the influence, at a party or bar or whatever, and some people do of course fetishize them. Bottom line is you will probably never be *too jacked* training naturally.

    Yeah whether it's that super crazy steroid bodybuilder physique or those disturbingly huge boobs it's still the same concept the person stops looking human anymore and it triggers our natural fear instincts it becomes creepy uncanny valley body horror! I think sometimes guys that get that obsessed with muscle are kind of delusional and not helped by living in those echo chamber communities where everybody's obsessed and delusional so it becomes normalized and they don't realize how freakish it can looks to outsiders I think meany of them are mentally ill and it's really sad society condones it reminds me of eating disorder communities where everybody convinces each other bones look good teen girls telling each other that guys like a thigh gap but outsiders are horrified by how sickly underweight they look it's so easy to get hyper focused on details and lose perspective I think most people need to analyze why they're doing something and make sure it's for the right reasons and it's actually a contributing positively to their lives and not becoming a problem!

    All i know is my personal experience; Ive always been an observant person, sometimes to a detrimental degree. I grew up very skinny, but enjoyed sports and was always athletic. Never got much attention from girls/women for my physique and honestly in general. Started lifting later than most (26) and every year since then has been better than the last in terms of attention from the opposite gender. From subtle looks and signs of interest, to people treating me differently in public (men and women) like holding the door, smiling, looking in my direction, saying hello, members of the service industry being friendlier etc. Is it because of increased confidence, less depression and better posture that is a byproduct of lifting? No doubt it plays a role. But i wouldn't have them without the physique changes, so i argue its a moot point. My personal life has been on an upswing ever since i started consistently going to the gym, and im grateful to the noble natties for their information library and community, as well as myself for not stopping even when major injuries and life changing circumstances have impacted my training. Keep lifting gents, for a rising tide raises all ships.

Now on to my point; my wife is a smoke show. She could legit be a part time model or an air hostess from the 60’s. For some reason she fell for a not very muscular version of me, and later I met my muscle building potential and I still push myself to grow each year. 9 years into the gym, and yes women like physically fit men, not just because it looks good but because it shows them what kind of a men you are. It's more about the grind/huscle/dedication that women love, same applies if you started at the bottom in school and you end up as a wealthy business man, it's something alot of man don't want or if they do not achieve.And what I also want to mention is that other men will notice too, some will be jealous and hate you with no reason and others will see you as a role model, respect you more than they used to and sometimes I believe being physically fit also helps in job interviews haha. Because my recent boss was amazed by my physique when I was having a job interview with him, told me that he used to train alot of kickboxing in his youth and we both instantly had a great connection. Obviously that effect hits hard when you boss is a fitness freak too, but if not they will still appreciate your dedication to fitness, thats something they want you to have for their job I guess.

    I liked the end of your video today when you said, "Lift for you!". I've been chunky/overweight most of my life. I'm 64 now, so I have a granddad rather than a dad bod! I started working out and trying to eat a better diet four years ago. I'm still overweight for my height, but the muscle I've packed on me is more than I've ever had, so I'm far from disappointed with my results. Trying to stick with it so I can develop better definition in the coming years. I have learned that there aren't very many of my contemporaries who work out or exercise at all, and about the only person who cares about how I look, is me! I promise, girls notice. Just the other day, I ran into a girl who never would have given me the time of day 5 years ago. There was an instant, mutual attraction. Sensible comment from a creator with sensible content. Any time I happen to look at some weird redpill content talking about ranking people on a number scale, purely discussing looks and stuff like how much money people make, I just feel complete cognitive dissonance. I really don't understand how people (young men mostly) fall into this mindset that you cannot find a partner or a date if you aren't jacked and make six figures etc., just go outside and look at any random couple. It's just normal people like you said. Obviously you cannot attract superficial "10s" with a completely different lifestyle to you and why would you even want to? Chances are, if you're watching this type of content, that you're most likely pretty average yourself and are scared to approach the opposite gender to begin with, you're looking at it completely wrong and falling into a world of toxicity and becoming extremely cynical. You'll become miserable and getting rid of that mindset should be your first priority since you'll end up making yourself even less approachable. Just legitimately focus on your health physically and mentally and don't fall for the guru stuff online, they're giving "advice" for monetary reasons while your well-being simply doesn't matter to them.

My dating pool had gotten older, some men really loose it they get the belly and the flat butt. It’s a turn off. So please keep lifting!! Most of us really appreciate shoulders arms and butt. I notice those things and it’s such a turn on when a man takes care of himself.

    In my experience, muscle works in a similar way to height in that it helps you stand out and gives you a slight edge over others. Even so the effect is definitely a lot less significant than height itself. Just do it for yourself and think of the girls as a byproduct of your hard work.

    As far as strictly physical attractiveness goes, you may be right about height. But, a way above average physique tells people you have the drive, dedication, and consistency to meet goals. Hell, I think it even helps in job interviews for that reason. So, pound-for-pound, I think physique is more attractive than height.

    Formerly redpilled 25-year-old here. Have trained on/off for about a year and a half now. Was motivated to start lifting after a messy breakup and a lifetime of rejections. I initially started lifting as heavy as I could. My muscles were sore, I made little progress and I hated myself the whole way through. I've taken up two things that have made me rethink my fitness journey- calisthenics and martial arts. I won't build up as much muscle as pure weightlifting, but I've begun to view calisthenics and my karate + BJJ classes as hobbies. It made my fitness journey way more motivating and enjoyable. So what if I never achieve the "Chris Hemsworth physique"- I'm pretty sure that a lot of people would appreciate a guy that's lean, strong, flexible and looking like he could kick the air out of a thug twice his size. The past 2 months since my change in training style has been more transformational for me than the weightlifting ever was.

Same volumes, completely top down systemic difference in outcomes. The difference in progress is the difference in being the mouse that has a reason to lift and the other that just has to. At the very least add a stomachable amount of lifting and see if you can grow to appreciate it through sheer exposure. The upsides for your other endeavors will be there.

    Women love muscles but they don't always love muscular guys, some meat heads make it way too much of their personality and use it as a crutch when interacting with women. My personal experience was that my wife fell in love with my personality, but it was obvious after I gained 25 pounds of muscle (this was about 8 years into our relationship) her attraction to me skyrocketed. Physical appearance usually isn't the primary driver of attraction for women, but having muscles to compliment your personality and confidence is usually a huge bonus and will give you a leg up on your peers.

    Heyo, this is a lovely video. Its one of my favorite topics, and I think you've explained it really well. The concept of diminishing returns especially is something that is so valuable to understand. Just to add to the conversation, what's really cool too is that not only does your physique as a whole follows this principle but also individual muscle groups. On top of that, your actual bone structure, muscle shape, baseline muscle mass all have a huge impact on where you start off on the curve. IMO, something like quads will hit diminishing returns super quick for many people. For some people, they literally don't even need to train them, maybe do some sports and they have crazy aesthetic legs. This is especially the case for shorter people with naturally stockier and/or thicker limbs. Delts, on the other hand for most people IMO, can be trained for years and still not hit that aesthetic plateau. Maybe an exception would be someone with naturally very broad shoulders. They might hit diminishing returns sooner, because they already have a pretty good shoulder to waist ratio. Moreover, some parts of the body just have more importance than others when it comes to physical attractiveness. Although, all your attributes might follow their own diminishing returns curve, and each of them has a "peak" or platuea, some features are just far more important than others. Some peaks are much more valuable than others. I mean think of facial aesthetics lol! Many lifters really would be better off focusing on their facial hair, getting lean, a hairstyle that suits their face shape. But in terms of physique, A really aesthetic upper body with an underdeveloped skinny lower body still looks generally attractive, although certainly not ideal. However a well developed lower body and skinny underdeveloped upper body looks pretty bad, its barely better then an untrained body. You can take spinal erectors from completely invisible to their aesthetic "Peak" and most people wouldn't care, and its not a tiny muscle group! Take a super skinny "invisible" neck, delts, or even forearms and grow any of them to their peak and it would be instantly noticeable, and have a much bigger impact. I also think this is why many lifters stop seeing aesthetic improvements. Many recreational lifters want to look better or be more attractive yet they keep focusing on legs, they build lats way past the point of diminishing returns and very often aren't very good at growing their side delts which actually generally has the biggest impact for most people. On top of that, lots of people also have skinny necks and don't work their neck. So I also think you can lift in a way that specifically doesn't improve your attractiveness very much. Generally powerlifting focused routines just hit diminishing returns and with some people can even make you look WORSE after a certain point. Short legs will look even SHORTER when they are super bulked up, even as a natural. Finally, physical attractiveness as a whole is one part of attraction, just like you mentioned, and again, the concept of diminishing returns comes into play. Sometimes people can really start to think that looks is everything and even feel gaslit lol. And then others really believe that looks don't matter at all! Its never affected them in life. And the truth is both are true. When you are really physically unattractive, Think; super out of shape, aggressively ugly, awful hair/skin, very sickly, it'll matter A LOT. It'll have a very significant effect. It'll also feel like looks are the only thing that matters! But when you start to look decent it really starts to matter less and less, and eventually when you're good looking enough it "doesn't matter anymore". Other qualities start to matter. So yes, both are actually true, it just depends on your goals and where you are at in life. Also, to end this, you DON'T have to be attractive. You don't have to" make the most" of your looks. Its totally up to you, and its actually totally fine to live a life where you completely unattractive, or just average looking. We all eventually become unattractive anyways, its called getting old lol. If you don't really care then you don't care! It's good to understand that looks will affect you in some aspects of life, to understand what matters a lot with looks and what doesn't, but also to know that its not an important quality in MANY MANY aspects of life. Who cares how you look if you're just trying to be a chess grandmaster, or a scientist? Really doesn't matter at all. But if you're interested in meeting lots of women/short term dating? Interested in being a model, an actor or maybe working in the service industry? Then it certainly DOES matter! It matters in long-term dating as well of course but not as much as when you're trying just sleep with lots of women.

    Good video. As a woman (we are in fact people, yes) I do like some muscle in men. Not just because of the way it looks, but because it’s an indication that the guy has a healthy lifestyle similar to mine (I also lift weights). It also shows that they’re capable of putting effort into themselves and working hard, which I also appreciate 🤷‍♀ So it’s more about having similar lifestyles - people who love sports don’t usually have much in common with couch potatoes and vice versa. As for some people claiming women have high standards, I don’t quite get it. When I go outside, I see all kinds of couples: skinny, fat, muscular, old, young, you name it. My current girlfriend could not give less of a shit about me lifting weights. Not that she hates it, but if I snapped my finger and lost all my muscle it wouldn’t make any difference to her. Last girlfriend it was basically a requirement. She worked out and was quite muscular herself, so at least she held herself to the same standard. So my definitely totally scientific answer is: Sometimes

    My experience was that getting more muscle didn't necessarily make me more desired. Like my full colour tattoo sleeves the muscle just made me stand out in a room full of people which meant people including women probably started thinking "huh that's an interesting looking guy" making new social interactions smoother.

    Women may not like the “steroid look” but I don’t think they are all that turned off by the steroids themselves. If you look healthy and they like you, they won’t care (and if they don’t like you, they’ll hold anything against you, including eating healthy and going to the gym). When I put on muscle, I was very honest with girlfriends about the TRT. But my gains also coincided with starting organic gardening as a hobby… so they naturally all attributed my gains to the fact that I started growing tomatoes and kale. One girlfriend (who once *watched* me inject myself) said to me: “whatever you’re doing at the community garden KEEP DOING IT.” 🤣

    The reality of dating is that MOST people date within their own circles and "levels." You date people at your job or friends usually and most of the time, you are within the same range of looks as your partner. Sometimes there are slight exceptions when people are really smart, charming, funny, or wealthy, they may have partners that are better looking, but most people just date the same tier of people. At the end of the day, muscles will give you an advantage but so does any positive trait. It's just that teaching the average person how to gain muscle is a lot easier than teaching people how to be funny and charming. If you want to give yourself a boost in the dating market, then do everything (physical and not) to increase those odds.

  • @lachattenoir
    @lachattenoir5 ай бұрын

    I’m a woman and mostly agree with you. I think younger people in general tend to attribute too much of their lack of success in the dating market with their looks. If you want to go out and sleep with everyone you meet, fair enough. Nice wide shoulders, nice arms, not too big. But an average looking person has just as much chance of getting a partner they get along with and find attractive as a stunning person. You will notice that most people get married. You need to do things in life that make you happy and give you a sense of success and confidence. It doesn’t need to be anything grand either. As for dad bods. They honestly do become more attractive the older you get. The main reason is they indicate that a man has other things going on in his life and is not overly vain. Hence, would make a good dad. I started finding this more attractive from my early thirties onwards. Dad bod and never had a stable job, spends all their time drinking is a no. Dad bod and has a stable (not necessarily rich) life, good values, yes. Attractiveness is as much mind as it is body. Honestly, if you are average looking, are reliable, have joie de vivre and a very basic level of fitness (perhaps 2 hours exercise total a week) you are golden. Work on spending time with women you genuinely have things in common with. It’s good to watch these videos for tips, but don’t get overly obsessive. Go out and live your life! Good luck!

    Muscle isn’t for women. Muscle is for us. Money, and the appearance of having it is for women. With all that said, don’t be fat. Women do like runner/swimmer bodies. In fact, most like this physique much more than bodybuilder style physique.

  • @mikeCD62
    @mikeCD629 ай бұрын

    So I've seen this before where people show women pictures of oiled up posing bodybuilders and ask if they find them attractive, and I think there's a glaring error in that methodology. I think that most women (and people) find the idea of a bodybuilding show off-putting. If the only image you have of a guy is of him dehydrated and spray tanned in a banana hammock, you're likely to perceive him as vain and somewhat alien. It's the costume of bodybuilder that is most unattractive. Put Chris bumsteads physique (minus the extreme spray tan and with a more casual pose) in a firefighter calendar and he will be much more broadly appealing. There's also a strong social stigma against women appearing to care too much about a man's appearance. For every girl that flaunts her 6' dating cutoff there is another who proudly looks down on "normies" for caring about their partners' looks. The first girl probably still dates guys below 6' occasionally and the second girl probably deep down does care about looks more than she admits, but when a stranger puts a camera in your face and asks how you feel, most people give the safe answer. The safe answer is "I like guys for their personality".

    I've been very skinny and I'm now at the "pretty obvious that I lift" stage, and not trying to humble brag but I'm decent looking. Whatever my body has looked like, the only compliments I've gotten were my hair, my smile, and personality traits like kindness and humor. Women care WAY less than you think. It might get you laid, but you'll still have to have a personality. It's like owning a supercar but only being able to drive it on a pothole infested school zone. The most important part about being fit isn't the look, it's that it shows that you take care of yourself imo. My advice : do things for YOURSELF, get fit and enjoy it, take care of yourself and improve yourself for no other reason than because you deserve it, that doesn't just mean physical appearance, but education, health, hygiene, emotional intelligence/kindness/empathy, and get yourself out there, do activities where you expand your social circle, and things will happen naturally.

    I 100% notice men's physiques but would die before complimenting a man's body out loud. Never expect a woman to do that, we might not physically be capable of it. It doesn't mean we don't notice. Have you ever even seen that happen in real life?? I complimented a male friend on something (not his body, he has a killer body but god help me if I ever say anything about it) and he told me it was the first compliment he'd received in like a year. We have a lot going on in our heads that you'll never hear about lol.

    I think they like it but is not the most important factor. I used to get way more attention when I was skinny, and got told I looked athletic [like a runner]. However I was also around a lot more girls at that time (high school/college). If i was jacked back then it probably would have helped more. So IMO social aspect>>>lifting, unless you are a top tier physical specimen face-wise as well and can get girls via online dating.

    Working out is partially for attraction, but body building is done for oneself. We don’t grow our muscles to impress women. We grow our muscles for the same reason we train in combat sports. That is to be able to increase our chances in a street fight in case we or our loved ones are assaulted. I’m only talking about the every day man . Not the pros.
