Will try this method. I want to reduce waste by using as many reusable items as possible. Thanks so much!

Hmm. I’ve been doing soap and water for a year. Just last night in fact. Yikes. I have done the taping in between mold baths though . Most often the baths have been the Dawn Powerwash which has alcohol so maybe that’s why it seems to have been ok. I just had no idea. Now I know.

I mean if you have been doing it for a year it can’t be all bad, can it?!? I was just taught not to do it that way but I am not opposed to other ways. 😆

That is such a good question. I don’t know for sure. I googled it and it said to wash gently with soap and a soft sponge. I don’t know if the tape would be too harsh and ruin the holographic part. At the end of the day I can’t give a confident answer.

That happens when they have been used a lot and are worn out. Silicone wears over time. It is very common for this to happen. I have had to replace my silicone cups once in the last 3 years.

@jstarr3676 silicone materials are prone to tearing, especially once a small tear or defect develops It should not have happened just by turning it inside out. Some else was going on whether a defect or something else

    1. that is a lot of wasted resin in that cup, always keep a pendant or earring mold handy for excess like that. 2. resin does not "dry" it cures.
