I want to keep bare bottom tank for discus is it necessary to place white or black paper under tank so that discus fish can't see himself in bottom glass. I hv glow tetra so I can't put paper under tank now what I can do.
I just watch and watch my discuses it make my mind filled with joy and peace😇 I tried rams, bristle nose angels but all make uncomfortable for them. Now set cardinals and they are right mate.

That's so nice to hear! I am glad you're enjoying your fish :D I agree sometimes other fish bother the discus. They seem to do better on their own.
I’m in north Florida, what part are you from?
Dear I hv glow tetra and tiger barbs in 80 gal tank with 10 gal sump filter total 90 gal tank. Can I add discus in same tank with Glow Tetra and Tiger barbs. My tank is open from top so discus can jump out or not.

@@NewAquariumHobby I wouldn’t add discus with tiger barbs. Tiger barbs are nippy and will likely stress out the discus. Discus also like the water warmer.

Synodontis catfish get along with discuss quite well and are the most beautiful of all the catfish

Why does the temperature of the water affect their hunger ??

Good question! Higher temperatures can speed up a fish's metabolism, making them hungrier more often because they're processing food much faster.
