I wanted to ask someone who has tried it; is it like one of those ridiculous online guitar conglomerates (like guitartricks or truefire) that have a million lessons with no direction? Or is it more streamlined?

It’s a lot to wrap your head around, for $10 a month though you can’t beat it. Even if it took you 6 months to completely grasp everything that’s only $60 for lessons from a pro. My favorite thing about Tomo is he preaches not being greedy, if these lessons were $25 a month I’d still pay it happily. He literally does this for us!

@@WeighedGuitar Thanks so much for your kind words! I have been teaching at Berklee College Of Music over 27 years and I teach many many students all over the world via Skype Lessons. Not everyone has enough resourse to spend so I came up this idea GUITAR WISDOM so more people can learn from the best guitar education with reasonable fee. $9.99 a month subscription so even one month ($9.99) You can watch all lesson videos, demo videos and backtracks! Won't miss anything or you can fix all the bad habits problems right away! Thanks so much!!

Douglas Diggins no it’s not like that, there are categories for blues, jazz, major, minor. He divided everything into sections and you can follow a long. The way I use guitar wisdom is as a foundation, meaning I learning something there but then expand with the internet to really get it in me. Definitely recommend

What helped me the last few days is that even when I can't play something well yet, there's value in my failing. Only way to move forward. Just move forward and believe in what you do. If you believe, it becomes easier but faith takes guts. I struggled with that for a long time too but I think I've been coming around these last few days.

Hi Tomo. I left a comment on one of your videos a while back about breaking my wrist, and you responded with a very kind comment (sorry for never responding by the way), telling me to not stress about it and beat myself down over it. I did as you said, and have now started practicing more rigorously. I can now manage to play simple chord progressions left handed, but my greatest challenge now is getting used to strumming with my left hand. Picking individual strings is very difficult for me, but this routine seems great for practicing just that, so thank you for this video. Keep being awesome, you’re a fantastic teacher.

Out of all of the guitar teachers I’ve seen, Tomo is the only one that has ever asked us to be kind to Ourselves…which is key. This is very reminiscent of the good yoga classes I’ve been to …it’s all the same stuff… people (ego, mind) want to achieve and be ambitious but lose sight of the point…which is to enrich our lives…super appreciated 🙏🏽

For various life reasons I lost my passion for playing guitar 5 years ago after playing for 30 years. I was never great at guitar - my level never got above intermediate level player. I was ok for a drunken party but that’s it. Life changes during covid have motivated me to fight to recapture my passion for guitar and to even expand my skills. I’m choosing your programme Tomo. Every morning - every lesson - every piece of wisdom. Lessgo.

Tomo your like the Mr Miyagi on the guitar! Brilliant as always. I already subscribe to guitar wisdom but more advice on practice routines would be great. What should we play every day? I get up early and play as I find mornings better for learning. In the evening after work learnings harder due to fatigue, but I still try to play exercises or learn a song or recap previous lessons.

Tomo, wonderful lesson as usual. But I am wondering, how did you learn to tune into people so well - do you think it was because of all the one-on-one lessons with students, or is it something from your upbringing? You are a very kind man and gracious - and you provide advice from the perspective of the student - you're always providing the answer to the question that is in the mind of the learner.

Hi Tomo i take my purpose for this year,... is to be able to do these exercises with ease. I'm content with that. After 40 years practicing they are impossible for me. I'm 54, almost like you ... and I don't know what I've done with my life, lol when I hear you play. I follow you and you have become someone important in my day to day, I watch your videos and comments, in the distance but with the closeness that music gives me to you. It's hard for me to follow you in English, mine is Spanish .. but step by step a big hug and many, many, many thanks !!!!!

Tomo, every time I see your videos I wish I could just have like 3-5 hours just me and you in a room and you helping me with my guitar skills and showing me what I’m doing wrong, etc. That would be amazing! Do you have a Skype call lesson we can sign up to? I think I’ve seen that around. Let me know Tomo! Thanks for the videos!

I can propose another exercise that firing my mind. Just take usual sequence over any scale you want, in 4-th resolution - e.g. 3 notes down one note up, etc. And try to play the same line in sextuples, 6 notes of this sequence together on one step, and so on. Then try quintols, septols, etc. Good exercise for rhythm feeling and for the techniques as well.

mutarerrs apparently that main line was actually a guitar exercise Dave Matthews was doing for dexterity, and it occurred to them there was actual music to be made from it. Or so I’ve read.

I only found your channel recently through Tim Pierce. I am glad I did. This routine reminds me of the Hanon routines for piano. They were fantastic for developing finger dexterity and muscle memory. With youtube and click bait promises of guitar "secrets", everyone wants to learn instantly. But without putting in the work over time there really are no shortcuts. I have a lot of catching up to do on your channel so I should go do that now.
