Hamshack Hotline is de-listing the 10 digit extensions in favour of 7 digit extensions which have already been rolled out. The final cutover is June 28 after which time your 10 digit extension will no longer work.

For SPA525G2 users, here are the steps I followed:
1. Login to the phone using its IP address
2. Click on ‘Admin Login’
3. Click on ‘Advanced’
4. Select tab ‘Phone’
5. Look for instances of “Short Name” that have your current number in them, remove 3 zeros. Short Name is how it displays on your phone. Press button Submit All Changes.
6. Select tab ‘Ext 1’
7. Look for ‘Display Name’ and ‘User ID’. Remove 3 zeros from each. Press button Submit All Changes.
You can give me a call if you wish to test - if you updated the User ID field correctly, I’ll see the proper/shortened number on my display. My new HH extension number is 610.0291.
If you programmed one-touch keys to rapid dial someone, or have programmed fields in the directory, they’ll also need to be updated from within the GUI. Those steps are outside the realm of this quick-guide.
