One more tip on the way: Never visualize in a negative way, like: "The cue ball better doesn't drop into the pocket." Once you are seeing the image of the cue ball droping, you are more likely to do exactly that. And the reason behind this is, that our brian does not understand the "don't." It's just able to see the image of the cue ball dropping. So next time, think and visualize in a positive way: "The cue ball will hit the rail next to the pocket".

I used to ride a sports bike and the same concept goes, “don’t look where you don’t want to go!” (When cornering a lot of guys look..ohh crap I don’t want to go that way, instead of focusing what they want to go... and where do you think they end up!? Yes in a ditch or worse lol). Very excellent point Sharivari , like all sports..pool is very mental.

Okay so what can somebody do if negative thoughts invade the mind occasionally they do that with me and I can't seem to shake them
You always explain things so well and with lovely graphics. Lots of rich information there. "Pool is a game of feels"

I think most people know you are not a pro player but that does not matter because you are well above-average and your English is exceptional and you were very good at explaining things I always seem to learn something after watching a video of yours

Yeah same here. For a regular avid pool player who plays in leagues and also pros. Who makes his living on KZread with these videos. He's very knowledgeable
Been playing pool for 50 years. I'm always learning, and your videos are always helpful to add to the skill set. Thanks You!

What a great definition.. truly
You are a pro teacher. You visualizations are second to none.
This such an important part to playing pool. I often visualize different shoots as I drive to the pool halls for league night. It’s like warming up the brain. Great video!
@Sharivari you have really invested in the media equipment, impressive video resolution and also the way you put in graphics helps us visualize how and where exactly you hit the cue ball. Most instructors say "hit like this " but on video we can't even see which point on the cue is being hit . Keep the good work up .
These videos are top notch. The mental prep and visualization is so important. I notice when I see the shot in my head beforehand I see a much better result instead of just firing away.
been watching your videos since i started playing in APA. Ive gone from a 3 to a 5 in one session! I should be going up to a 6 in 9 ball soon. Thank you! Ive also played in a few doubles tournaments and got 3rd place with my mentor. Loving every minute of it!
Great video, but especially the editing is great with the little graphics you put on the table. You put a lot of work into the editing, time stamps, cue ball graphics etc, and it shows.
Wow! That was a fabulous demonstration of how to envision both the shot, and the cue ball position after the shot. You are remarkably clear in your descriptions. Thank you so much!!
Thank you for your honesty! I appreciate you showing the process of adjusting the plan as you go.
You have been improving my game with your videos, thanks a lot
Really great information. You always give me something to go practice, keep up the great content.
Thanks! Although I am a somewhat experienced player, I have not played much in over a decade. Watching your video reignited my interest in playing again! I'll be checking more of your videos!
Great video and very well explained. Seeing your position before the shot definitely helps me run the table. Thanks!
This is literally one of the most important videos that any aspiring pool player should see and incorporate into their daily practice. The process of analysis (which includes visualization and various calculations), prediction, and comparison, along with high amounts of daily repetition, is fundamental to developing the brain's neural networks for ALL types of skill development. This is literally "how the brain grows", and by grows, I mean how the brain develops the neural networks of skill so they become automatic and precise. Another key, which I think you should mention, is the importance of taking videos of your play, so you can see shots you messed up, or did amazingly correct, and practice on repeating those shots. Finally, I'm curious if there are other sources that inspired you on this process of skill development.
i been playing for around 20yrs and just stopped playing because of the pandemic. just got back playing a weeks ago and your videos are really big help to refresh all my skills and fundamentals. your vids are the best of what i,ve seen by far. thank mate!
This needs to be a series. As a student who is just past basic concepts videos, this is the exact kind of information I need. It teaches you how a pro thinks while playing, it teaches you how to see different options, and the thing I need at this point is more videos of pros talking through their decision process thank you I could watch so many of these videos if it becomes a series
the production value on these are insane. kudos sharivari! What would make it even moreuseful for guys, is if you could put the ghost ball on the objectball, allowing for deflection or throw etc based upon the shot you are about to play....
This video has really helped to solidify cue ball control principles for me. Thank you.
your videos have helped me improve quickly. thank you
Good video, I'd like to see more 9-ball runs like this where you explained and showed like you did here :) Thanks!
Very good, clear and powerful tips with good explanation in accuratly executing shots for key positions in running out the rack
Absolutely great video. I just subscribed to make sure I catch all your lessons
EXCELLENT!!!! THANK YOU!!!!
Excellent! I can especially relate because I'm also a lefty and use an open bridge.
Thank you for all your time n efforts. Excellent explanation
It is one of your best videos. Thanks for these great tips.
This was really good advice. I do the same visualization while playing golf. It has been a very helpful technique. The key comment you made was that your brain sees what is going to happen then your body follows that image.
Great video. Thanks for including the mark where your hitting the cue ball.
👏👏👏👏👏👏 very helpful that you share your thoughts as you line up your planed shots
Not a professional player, a professional instructor though! This was helpful, I find a rush through this process a bit. One of our 650+ Fargo rated guys told me to visualize an exact spot for position as opposed to an area. It’s really helpful to dial in position play.
Thanks for this video, it is amazing!
Video well thought and explained well. Thank you.
Very helpful, thank you for sharing.
Great stuff. One of the best Videos Iv'e seen. BTW. Great info. Don't stop explaining !
As always, a great video. This one was especially good for me, so clearly explained. Thanks again.

Glad it was helpful!
So much of what is an excellent video also speaks to being sure to stay down and follow through with the cue on the shot in order to get proper spin. You always impress me with your ability in this area of your game. I am bringing up your name to players local to my area that I know could benefit from watching your videos. Usually they have never heard of "Sharivari" but I see them keying it into their phones so am pleased to see you've added thousands more subscribers in the last couple of months with my adding hopefully a couple of them.

I like your video's I need to watch them over and over but thanks again
Great video. 1 of my biggest problems is rushing I know the english of the cueball but end up rushing the shot so it goes sideways same with the long straight in shots sometimes I have a habit of adding unintended spin. Thanks for these videos very helpful just gotta practice more.
You have great instructional videos Sharivari! 🥇🏆🦯

@@Sharivari you are teaching about visualization and mind state, very effectively. Anyone complaining about it is definitely missing the point. It was really helpful to be reminded to always visualize the cue ball path. I realized that’s one area I’ve been lacking. Also helpful to know the brain works with images not words.
You have great content!
Great teachings , and great shooting.
I've been playing for 47 years; and I discovered early on that I could not shoot worth a damn if I could not 'see' my lines. In the heyday of my competition phase, I was a top-tier player in 8-ball and 9-ball; however, after about 18 years of that, I began studying and playing 3-cushion - and that's where I began to really learn about the physics of billiards, especially how it relates to caroms and tangent lines. That is a skill I see sorely lacking in many barroom players today, and have seen many games lost because the player couldn't 'see' all the possibilities on the table.
Great video and great advice, very well done earned a sub here!
Great job .
You may not be a professional player but you can teach. not all players can teach. you have that gift. thank you. i learned a lot from you. teaching is a different skill. I hope Efren Bata Reyes can teach like you but he can't.
Awesome stuff!
I like a lot this videos planning every shot. Thank you
Well explained, thank you. Love that table, looks like leather on the rails.
