Do This and Transform Your Short Game!

To be able to shoot good scores in golf, you must have a good SHORT GAME.
The ability to be able to vary the trajectory of you shots - LOW, MID, or HIGH - can be a huge advantage as it allows you to choose the correct shot for any given situation.
Using a systematic approach, and some simple set-up adjustments, you can learn to hit the LOW, MID, and HIGH shot easily. Once you learn to do this, your consistency around the greens will improve and you'll be able to shoot lower scores immediately!

Another GREAT session Rob. I could watch it over and over to ingrain it. One thing you didn't mention was weight forward. It looks like you are decidedly left from start to finish. What say you? be good-Russ

Yes, weight forward is STANDARD procedure! 👌🏻

Fascinating to watch your left knee during those swings, especially during the "high shot" versions. That's the shot (including bunker shots) where I fear that I may sometimes end up with my sternum angled the wrong way in spite of keeping my weight left. I'll bet that sort of left knee move might help correct my entering the sand further behind the ball than intended. . .

What kind of bounce do you recommended on wedges?

Difficult to say without seeing your technique. But generally more bounce is better than less bounce.

Rob, would you hit the low shot more with a 7 or 8 iron, the mid with a wedge or 52/54 & the high one with a 56 or 58. Or does it even matter because that is what I did last year.

  • @robcheneygolf1

It’s certainly an option. I don’t really like the 7 or 8 iron option as the ball speed off the face is harder to control (comes off too fast). You’ll find pros use the same wedge for 95% of their shots around the green.

I’m still in Singapore. No plans for any new Camps at this time, but likely in the future. I’ll be at the Spain Camps in November later this year.
