When the Companion Ibn Abbas heard his brother had died he made fresh wudu, prayed 2 units & kept reciting the following verse
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱسْتَعِينُوا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ وَٱلصَّلَوٰةِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ (Quran2:153)
O believers! Seek comfort in patience and prayer. Allah is truly with those who are patient.
