I AGREE!!! I don't have a fursuit, but I have anthro Persona, who is put human/rat from novel in the works., Her father is a rat and mother is human. I love rats!!! And sometimes I will dress up as low key cosplay as her in public, but I get shamed by people for wearing my fake rat ears. When did nothing wrong. Its on head band, that covers my real ears. But I never pull anyone in my self larp...I just go on with my life, if someone says "Oh I love your outfit" I say thank you. but I think if someone wants be in full fur-suite go shopping, I say they can..Just act normal. As a furry I apologize for some furry videos like that pig girl i don't think she is a furry and I find that disguising... Also not all furries are bad and most furries hate zoophilia because its disgusting! Most furries that are good just enjoy their lives of learning more abt animals and trying to find out secrets about animals. Also making charcters and being happy making them into a real character that will exist. Also cosplaying is the most common way to express yourself so thats why furries cosplay.

In my middle school there was this girl named Jay who was a “furry” or whatever and there were like two other kids who were weird degenerates and we bullied the shit out of them. We bullied Jay so bad that she stopped wearing the ears after ONE DAY and no one ever talked to her except for her weird little furry friends. We’d bark at them in the hallways when they would get bold enough to wear some type of stupid bullshit. I live in the southeast and stuff like that does NOT happen here, we bully those weirdos.

I live near this school. The kids are not lying. It is a huge issue all across the board. The kids are being assaulted and harassed. Our family friend who has been a teacher of 30+ years has said she sees kids coming to class all the time in masks dressed as furries. Even had a boy dressed as a fairy in her class. I am a furry soooo... *BOO* (nah, am jk, ik you aren't supposed to make fun of someone who is scared of somthing) But just like for general information, this isn't meant to change anyone's oppinion or to advertise furries/therians. I just want to clear up the difference between furries and therians. Furries: A person interested in anthropomorphic animals (animals with human traits). And ofc they are interested in them in a hobby way, it has nothing to do with any fetishes, roleplays or just in genderal the adult stuf. A furry is just someone who is interested in those characters and makes art of them (fursuits, fan-art, videos, etc.) Therian: A person who has a belief they are an animal on a non-physical level (mentally or spiritually) and experience involantruly (sorry I can't spell fr-) animalistic urges. Quadrobist: A person who engages in the sport "quadrobics" which is basically walking, running and performing jumps/stunts on all fours. And ik that this aspect of the so-called "furry/therian" community is very uhm- ye, controversial, but yeah. (Excuses if I didn't explain somthing about quadrobics/therians wrong, I am not a therian myself so I can't know for sure. Yeah it's crazy. From my experience the vast majority of furries are awesome people, they just have a different hobby. Admittedly I'm impressed by those furry costume, those costumes upwards of 10k sometimes. Anyway with many communities that are seen as 'unusual' it's often the young teens who don't understand the real world or boundaries or whatever it may be that tend to ruin it for everyone else, it's not the kids' fault, but the parents. There's a real lack of parents teaching boundaries and kids missing out on what's socially acceptable to do, especially after the pandemic. And of course there's the occasional adults who do something weird publicly in regards to said community or interest that manages to give the rest of them a bad rap. Overall it's just the people who are the loudest that tend to be the worst. Same sort of thing happened to the My Little Pony adult fans/collectors community around a decade ago which was sad to see, the people in that community were some of the kindest I've ever met, but one guy with a jar ruined it. As someone with a bit of a strange hobby (collecting dolls, cosplay of said dolls) i really, really hope nobody weird pops up in our community because it would be genuinely heartbreaking to get hated on for collecting dolls I've had since I was a kid. I should mention though that to some extent pretending to be animals is normal kid behaviour but due to the labeling obsession, they think they're furries. I've seen a few comments talking about how middle school kids are hissing at each other. This has always happened, it was particularly bad around the time Warriorcats came out, also really big amongst kids who played Animal Jam. It's harmless, but there's creepy people trying to label them as furries for it when they're just kids having fun, and since they're young, they believe it and take the label.

In my middle school there was this girl named Jay who was a “furry” or whatever and there were like two other kids who were weird degenerates and we bullied the shit out of them. We bullied Jay so bad that she stopped wearing the ears after ONE DAY and no one ever talked to her except for her weird little furry friends. My sister in law works in the public school system and i just told about the furry problem. Kids dress up as animals and when you try to talk to them they refuse to speak and either bark or purr at you. Our government trying its best to keep children away from any lgbtqia+ ideas and close to this stuff (we have a laws against it), the culture is kinda conservative towards these things and the parenting style is kinda old-fashioned here in the most of the families, but we still had "therian" kids in tiktok or youtube shorts who wears these masks, trying to imitate the “animal jumps”, do the hobbyhorsing stuff, wearing collars, animal ears and meowing. But it is all on the digital media - school will never allow it. But it is what it is - this stuff is going on even in conservative countries like Poland or Russia

I've always been terrified of costumes that completely cover up a person... Like the whole suit, mask or head thing. I went to a Halloween event where the costumes where really involved years ago & I was in tears 🫣 I would not go to school if this was going on! If you can't even tell who's under the costume, isn't that dangerous in schools? An adult could come in pretending to be a student or a student could even hide a weapon (maybe?) Regardless, this is crazy. I remember not even being able to have a streak of unnatural hair color & no flip flops or loud shoes in a school. I thought that was crazy, but now I know how CRAZY it can get 😮 EDIT: Can anyone explain this litter box thing to me? There's no way students are allowed to use the restroom in a litter box in school?!? Is it for show? I don't get it?

(replying to edit) i haven't done a large amount of research but I've heard that the litter box thing came from the chance of there being really bad lockdowns, meaning students would have to hide in a room for a long time and not being able to go to the bathroom(this indeed has happened before). and there was a thing suggesting litter boxes should/could be implemented in case if a situation like that happens ever. but because of it being a 'litter box' people are blaming furries and associating them with the idea

@@ziniihelalt Why the hell would you use litter boxes for that though? There's potties for kids, potties for camping (for the larger kids). I've seen buckets being used as make-shift toilets, and in isolation cells they often have a type of cardboard potty. Never have I seen a litter box for humans though.

The litterbox thing was actually just a rumour luckily. Spread around schools in New Zealand amongst other places. You might've seen the video of the New Zealand girls talking about it, they were lying to make fun of a group of kids in their previous school which they later owned up to. Unfortunately the reasoning for this rumour was always pretty nasty. It started as a longshot way of mocking and making rumours about kids who didn't want to use normal bathrooms because they had some sort of special illness or had special circumstances which made them want to use the school office bathrooms instead. My daughter had this happen to her years ago, she had to change schools because the other kids spread a rumour that she wanted to use a litterbox because she was asking to use the school office bathrooms which she was allowed to do. She had recently got an Ostomy bag that she had to empty and was too scared to empty it with other students around, teachers tried to stop the rumours but they couldn't.

i met a gentleman crawling around in a ratty dog costume in washington DC by a liquor store. he was on a leash. and someone, presumably his partner, was holding the other end. it scares me too, your not alone. personally, it reminds me of stories and folktales i am aware of, of malevolent people who take the apperances of various animals to attack and lure children.

As a Therian and Furry I don’t act anything like this- the only thing “Animalistic” I do is quadrobics which is just running around on all fours- Also why can’t kids wear headbands??? Yes I get masks but headbands should be excusable as long as the ears are not to big. And kids shouldn’t be attacking other kids no normal furry or therian attacks random kids you might have to be a manic to just randomly attack kids. Also if you need this: A therian is someone who identifies as an animal on a physical or spiritual level. A therian might have a past life as said animal or not and they just want to express themselves so if you wanna be rude about it keep it to yourself please.

I blame parents allowing kids access to the internet for this.

Honestly not all therians and furrys are bad but based on the first video then its probably a bit to far...like bitting them with no reason its just bad even if they were bullying first but then again i still support some of them Also i really agree with you abt the school problem....like i dont think they should be public gearing at school... Like i understand doing it at the park or at home but if your doing it at school then atleast remove your mask when the teacher is there.

A friend of mine is a school admin. She had to send out a memo to parents, the school was no longer enrolling animals.

In my middle school there was this girl named Jay who was a “furry” or whatever and there were like two other kids who were weird degenerates and we bullied the shit out of them. We bullied Jay so bad that she stopped wearing the ears after ONE DAY and no one ever talked to her except for her weird little furry friends. We’d bark at them in the hallways when they would get bold enough to wear some type of stupid bullshit. I live in the southeast and stuff like that does NOT happen here, we bully those weirdos.

5:00 *This!!* Not enough people talk about this in the community. There's a huge grooming/p3doph1lia issue in this community. Even though it's not inherently 18+ & not everyone's like that, not enough people speak about it. Before anyone skips the rest of this comment to spam that I'm a hater, just keep in mind this is coming from a furry (I'm gonna rant/vent here for a while) A lot of the community is obsessed with s3xuality & making it their personalities. They'll have queer ocs that are children/agere, suggestive ocs that aren't even humanoid & ones with coloured belly n1pples (I dunno why this is a trend) Some even push these ideas on kids. It's one thing when you don't know the person on the other side of the screen is a child & say something 18+, it's another when you do/know that is likely. I've been on a few furry aminos and the amount of creeps I've seen there & elsewhere is absurd (If you don't know what amino is, it's an app basically like Reddit with different subreddit/aminos for different communities. The majority of users are kids/teens. Though I wouldn't recommend using it if you're under 18 or mentally challenged in some way) I've seen some grown man spamming straight up NSFW photos of himself online onto the app. It took like a day for the curators/mods to do a thing. Another one kept asking people if they wanna chat, then try NSFW RP. He did that to me & I told him that was not appropriate & most other users were kids. He proceeded to do the same thing. I reported him to the mods, but I don't think they cared. I resorted to warning everyone that I knew he'd spoken to The mods also would allow dr4g qu33n art & feature suggestive art, despite knowing 90% of us were kids. Some of the mods were adults that knew better, while some were kids too. It's funny that when there's literal p3d0s there, they don't bat an eye. But when some kid's sad their parents don't accept them as catgender, they hop right over to comfort them I've had someone (I knew from there but spoke to elsewhere) ask for an art commission from me. They're oc had a big stomach but I just overlooked it & assumed it wasn't for anything gross. I just did a headshot to avoid drawing the stomach. In between progress updates they kept typing things like "nuzzles you OwO" & "kisses you", trying to love-bomb me? I felt uncomfortable but just ignored it. I did 1 more drawing & they started to pressure me into drawing the stomach. I purposely draw it only slightly bigger when they'd ask, so they'd eventually get tired and stop. After drawing that, they went on to say they shared my art with their best friend & they loved it (which was nice). But after, asked me to draw them & their friend's oc (in their words) "squishing b00bs".. I refused, & they reworded it as "belly squish", but I knew they just wanted it to sound different. I stopped responding after Back over on amino months later, they said they wanted to give me A-coins (the in-app currency) because they liked an artwork I made. I said yes, then they proceeded to tell me they wanted 10+ commissions and what specifically to draw. They gave me 800 coins then purposely made to sound like the wanted nothing in return. I could've gave them back and refused to draw, but I felt like that would be rude and did them anyway. Again, they did that weird love-bombing stuff in between progress updates and I ignored them. They sent me a graphic NSFW ref sheet of their oc. I told them next time to censor it out. They did some mental gymnastics, claiming the "body parts" weren't what they looked like & were really this & that.. They really went there.. I was just fed up & responded making it clear I wasn't amused & not to pull that stunt again. I think I did 2 drawings at that point, then proceeded to purposely rush through the rest. They then immediately asked me to do more. I blocked them Outside of amino, I saw a few furries posting about 1nc3st, p3d0philia & Z00philia pride. I thought they were joking, but they made a lot of posts like these & defended it with their lives I also had a couple of *sort of* friends that said weird things. One sent a DM asking "why do people st4b". That was the 1st DM I ever got from them. I assumed they were having a mental episode (& amino shows everyone that you're online so I couldn't ignore them and respond later). I tried to comfort them & they started roleplaying. They always talked in this "cwutesy wootsie UwU language". I couldn't tell if this was an adult acting like a baby or another kid acting like one. Either way, I think they were an agere. Once in a blue moon, they'd say things like "boops your butt" & I'd ignore them. I didn't wanna go through the same thing again Another one I roleplayed with kept trying to make it romantic & I'd try to switch the theme back. After a point, I think he understood I didn't see him that way. I think he was about my age but I find it a little funny looking back And another one (who was clearly a grown man), would always invite me to aminos he made. It was a little weird, since I didn't really speak that much to him. Not this is important, but he looked exactly like Peter Griffin. I can't even remember his username. I just called him that in my mind. Long story short, I eventually got bullied on an amino by another mod & left. Looking back, I'm kinda glad since that guy seemed a little off & may or may not have planned to do something to me And *another one*, constantly asked me detailed questions about me & where I live. He'd ask how many restaurants & cinemas are in my town & for photos of it. He'd come to me everyday doing that. He was friendly but super creepy. I told him half lies & eventually ignored him. I wouldn't be shocked if he's still stalking me (I've been typing so long, I don't remember why I started typing this tbf. This felt good to get off my chest though 👍🏼. Great video btw Misha)

I hate to to tell you this, but I think the part of the community that is _not_ like that is just deluding themselves. It is at its core a fetish community. Some people may be attracted to it because of the cuteness or aesthetics, but that's not what it primarily is about. That's a bit like going to a stripclub because you enjoy poledancing. I mean, sure, go ahead, but don't be surprised by what you encounter.

Okay as a Therian I find a lot of this crazy and agree with quite a lot of it, but some things I disagree with. I don’t rlly find it weird to wear like maybe a tail to school but anything else is crazy, the only place that seems okay enough is like a sky zone

First of all there's a difference between furries, who are largely a cosplay community, versus therians which are oftentimes confused with furries, who are people that believe they are animals. Either way, the school has obviously gotten the two confused, which is a moot point because neither one should be in the school systems🎉🎉🎉

Is NOT welcome among the furry or therian community, it is very weird and uncomfortable, no furry or therian (that in award if) would actually do that... A furry is just somebody who dresses up as an anthropomorphic animal (an animal with human characteristics) furrys do NOT believe they are animals, the just dress up for fun :D Therians DO identify as animals on a NONPHYSICAL LEVEL, they DO quadrobics for fun, but they don't roll around in mud... as a furry and a therian, i'll clear some stuff up. no, we do not use litter boxes. We do not act like animals in public spaces and harass others. Is there a subsection that does? Yup. Is that okay? Absolutely not. School is for learning, not for those antics. During furry conventions, all of the 18+ stuff goes down at night, so anyone under 18 can enjoy themselves at cons without having to interact with that stuff. I go to school with a fake tail on one of my belt loops some days. I do not draw any attention to it, nor do I bark at people or harass them because of it. I do own a fursuit, and I have only wore it on occasions where it is okay to (ice cream places, the arcade, birthday parties (IF THEY ARE OKAY WITH IT OFC). the stuff about 'crawling around on all fours' is called quadropics. It's a full-body sport, and I have gained a ton of arm and wrist strength because of it! I am not denying that some people have taken it too far (litter boxes, that one pig video, ped0s and z00s, etc), and that is NOT OKAY. the video at around 10:30 is kind of poking fun and making a joke. It's fine about being scared of furries! I know some people are, and that's totally fine. Being a furry or therian is not a mental ilness itself, but seriously. KEEP THIS OUT OF SCHOOL. Tails were an accessory in the early 2000s (around), but wearing therian masks or dinomasks? Maybe a little too far. do what you wanna do as long as you are not making it someone else's direct problem. :3

Well said, thank you. But what baffles me is that people go and hate on furry’s because ‘they have adult stuff etc etc’… acting like no other fandoms have a bad side. All fandoms have a bad side, and yeah while sometimes it’s best to ignore that it’s just easier to talk about it like ‘Yeah, people do do that, but it’s a very small minority of the entire subculture’

from my experience there's these two girls in my school who literally do all those things u don't do. They just use the therain excuse to avoid learning I even have a class with them, my 8th period, they literally trash the class, and because the teacher is a little woke, she let's her do all these activities without getting in trouble So like u can speak for most of ur community, but not all of it
