‘Examination is one of the most dreaded part of our academic life. Started since the school days and is never-ending, this is the complaint we all have. The examination ghost seems never to leave us, right? Well, wake up, leave the ghost behind, face the fact with courage.
In this video I am going to share some Do’s & Don’t Before Exams before any type of exam!
TIP N1
You may feel like you deserve a treat, but what you eat can really have an impact on energy levels and focus, so keep away from junk food. Keep your body and brain well-fuelled by choosing nutritious foods that have been proven to aid concentration and memory, such as fish, nuts, seeds, yogurt and blueberries.
Tip N2
Don’t drink too much water:
While it’s always important to stay hydrated, you will want to avoid drinking too much water the night before an exam as having a full bladder could wake you up during the night to use the bathroom. Sleep is really important before an exam, so you don’t want any interruptions.
TIP N3
Avoid using social media:GO OFFLINE- Switch off your phones the day before your exam. Whatsapp, Facebook, and other social networking will distract you. You need to concentrate on your studies completely.
TIP N4
Use the night before AN EXAM for simple revision. You shouldn’t be tackling anything brand new the night before your test. Instead, review the study notes you have created during your study sessions over the past few days.
TIP N5
Prepare Things The Night Before.
No one wants to be running around like a crazy person looking for their pencil when they’re trying to get out the door.
Preparing certain things the night before an exam can help to de-stress and slow down your morning. Organize these things the night before your exam, so you can go to sleep easy and wake up with peace of mind.
TIP 6 Try yoga before your test! Research shows practicing yoga can improve memory retention and lower stress levels. ...and it also effects learning and memory.
TIP 7
GET A GOOD NIGTH’S SLEEP
But before going to bed, set an alarm. If you are a person like me who often oversleeps, it’s better to set an extra alarm for a few minutes later so that if you happen to miss the first, you have a backup ready to go off and wake you.
Visualize positive outcomes:
Visualization techniques are powerful tools to help envision an outcome before it happens and manifest positivity. By seeing yourself taking the test and doing well before it happens, you can help to transform your beliefs into reality.
Tip N 8 Don't stress yourself out
Although it may seem like it right now, exams are not the be-all and end-all.
Exams don’t define you as a person and even if the worst occurs - there are many different pathways to achieve your goals.
