Why do nuns wake up at 5:15 AM in the morning? To pray the Liturgy of the Hour- We give thanks and ask God to sanctify our day, and to pray on behalf of the others.
What is the purpose of a nun's ministry, outside of the convent? The purpose of ministry is for the salvation of souls and to bring hope and joy to the people we serve- that’s the spirit behind our ministry.

Hi Tr. Triet! The veil for a religious sister is a sign of her consecration (set apart for) to God. Since a religious sister is the spouse (bride) of Christ, it is her way of wearing her bridal veil -- and bridal gown -- every day of her life.
