You can only game share games bought from the store, not disc

You have to sign in to the persons account that has the game you want and download it off there account and then when it's downloaded you go to your profile and then you can play it. They already have the license for it so they can download it on any console. It also has to be digital not disc.

ObjectiveApples yes you can I just did that with a friend for battle field one and we can play. Rarely it will glitch out and say the owner can't play the game but you just have to turn your ps4 off for a bit until it fixes it or just deactivate it and let the owner reactive it on his account for a bit. But it's very rarely.

So the moral of this story is dont link you paypal to your ps4... I dont mean to be an ass but you could have not linked your PayPal to your ps4 and done it right...

That sucks. It works similarly on steam because you need to log in on another computer and accept a request to share the games. Except it actually works on steam and never charged me. Does this actually work for free on PS4 if you do it properly?

My game sharing has gotten to a point where when me and my friend want a game he just pays me half of the game.We have about 6 triple A games together now.

What game you playing

On Xbox they allow you to game share, but only up to 3 times per year. But if you already used all three in a year and you still want to do it you can call Microsoft and get your 3 game shares reset.

It's easy to game share how do you mess it up

you activate the main account that bus the games on the console that isn't the main buyer and deactivate the main ps4.. been doing it for 3 years now

and no the console you originally used you account on like if you bought a ps4 for the first time and used your main account on it then its locked to that ps4 so all you do is de activate it on yours then allow your friend to activate it on theirs. there is not switching accounts.

You have to set their account as your primary and vice versa. If you dont the game will show up as download and when you download it charges you. Set his main account as your primary and have him set your main account as his primary then he can play your games also. You also can only download the game while you are using the account that owns the game, once the game is downloaded onto your ps4 the game will show up on both accounts home screen and you can play the game. Hopefully this helps you out in the future.

So he can play all your games on his own account and you can only play games on your account since it’s not the active ps4

How do you turn it off?

To be honest game sharing is super easy to do. It takes a few minutes, but the only way to actually play the game is to make sure the game is digital. I game share with a bunch of friends. I do it so I can try the game out then if I like it I buy it.

You gotta be careful who you gameshare with, I don't really know if I should stop game sharing or not.
