your reviews of this beast was one the reasons I got mine. I'm pushing 10k miles between 2 of them. (1st one went through a deer) and it just does what I need it to do. you need to Cruz to town? No problem. need to rip a single track? Have fun and bring a friend. can't wait to see what's next here.

From what I understand currently, in early to mid Nov is when we in the USA find out what tenere models will be available for us in 2023. If they bring the world raid model that might be a nice upgrade for the off road focused riders. I am waiting for that myself before I make a final call on what to order for spring.

@@SwankyCatProductions however, my bike unlike yours does not readily power wheelie? I have to clutch it up?
Even if it's thiner the problem with the oem skid plate it's that it's not flat on the bottom, and it's easy for the bike to drop from the jack. Now there are more exhaust on the market without the need to cut the frame, sc project, hp corse, Mivv etc This bike was based on the desert rally bikes, the rally bikes have the exhaust like the that, the problem it's how fragile is the holder.
Love the exhaust note

Excellent video per usual Ben! If you had to choose between the 2022 KLR and the Tenere for a 1000 mile trip, which would you choose for comfort? I’m assuming Tenere? Trying to decide if upgrading my KLR to this is truly worth it. I love the 2022 KLR.

I also ride a 2022 KLR650. If your planning on doing a 1000 miles trip then look into an aftermarket seat. I believe seat concepts makes a nice one but I notice after sitting for 2 hours or more at a time on the KLR it can start to hurt. Honestly though I love my KLR and I wouldn't trade it for anything

Not a big commenter. I was in the first run for US T7s, had a 690 before it. Not really a slabber, one bike only makes sense. Input so much customization and building out of the T7 and see so much utility in it, I won't ever sell it. It's filled so many areas well, not perfect. In an ideal world 3 bikes but that's not the case. Move slowly and think carefully what your future riding vision is before selling, my two cents. Thanks for your helpful videos and effort! I want to buy my first motorcycle and I'm a bit confused. I like this bike and I'm 6'2 (1,88cm) so i think i will fit perfectly on a T7. Although I will mostly ride on roads,(dirty roads maybe sometimes at first) and i will ride two up mostly aswell. I want the motorcycle for small andlarge trips when i can. Don't know if t7 will be a good option.. Tracer 7 is another option but a bit small bike for me i guess, and maybe a bit more beginner friendly. What's your thoughts on these? Nice video!
@SwankyCatProductions
Жыл бұрын
It sounds like the Tenere would be a good fit for your size and intended purpose. But I always recommend something a little less intense for a first bike. Honestly I'm still learning things from my TW200 and I truly believe a 250 or 300 dual sport is the best bike to learn on, both on road and off. Plus they're still a ton of fun after you get your sea legs. If you do decide to just go for it with the Tenere, take it really, really easy. The power it has is probably more dangerous than a sport bike since it has so much torque down low.

Sad to see it go, but excited for what's next. I agree with everything you said. I think the T7 is an amazing bike. A couple of things hold me back, the exhaust issue, top heavy, and range. You didn't like how it felt to sit on and ride your saying? I honestly took a while to really fall for it. The comfort adjustments I did helped that process a lot but the hugeness of it is a little off putting. I'm not sure what it is exactly but it does seem to have a certain coldness to it, if that makes any sense. I think it just takes a little longer to bond with than other bikes.

I got tired of looking for a T7, I found a few used, but people are trying to sell them for 2 or 3 thousand more than MRSP with 3 or 4k miles, crazy. I came across a good deal of a low miles KTM 1190 with a lot of freckles, and I pulled the trigger, I haven't regret it.

Yep, all depends what your looking for.
While I believe the T700 is one of the best bikes in its class it is important to be aware that any bikes in this class or larger can be extremely difficult to handle in genuine off road conditions. As long as buyers are aware of this fact they should be happy with their purchase. If you really require true off road performance along with somewhat decent on road performance you better get a DR650 while you still can.
@SwankyCatProductions

100% agree. I probably should've hit that point a little harder. This bike is amazing off road for what it is, but wouldn't be nearly as good as something like a DR or DRZ. No comparison there.
