Do not allow cancel culture to ‘happen’: Konstantin Kisin’s message for the world

Comedian and author Konstantin Kisin says cancel culture is a way for people to gain “meaning” in their lives when they have none.
“You tap this thing on your phone or on your keyboard and suddenly a famous person is getting cancelled,” Mr Kisin told Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan.
“The solution here is to be reasonable.
“We gotta stand up and not allow these cancellations to happen.”

At least 4 generations of systematic brainwashing are not going to be defeated within a few years. However, every journey starts with the first step. On my own part, I saw this coming 35 years ago and have 6 children from 7-34. Suffice it to say none of them are Woke, not in the slightest, and all of those old enough to attend university either have already or are studying for degrees. Therefore it can be done because I did it.

There are some problem with presentor as well for not being able to present his point of view in an appriciated way by some people, but it is impossible to satisfy everyone. Afterward, I was called into a meeting by one of my professors and pretty much told to stop talking so much in class. It's a bit concerning to see radical ideologies being accepted without thinking through the effects of climate change policies in developing countries. We all want change, but we tend to forget that it begins with the self. People these days would rather rant and whine, telling other people what to do, instead of doing the actual work.

One of the worst aspects of wokery is the way that people feel too afraid now to express opinions. I couldn't agree more. We have had a few meltdowns at work the past few months dealing with a very woke coworker. Another coworker and I are constantly have to deal with him. The amount of times we've said to each other, I feel like I need to walk on eggshells.... And said woke employee doesn't see the the irony of their social justice warrior quest for inclusion, excluding anyone who do not think like him.

No one should have to 'persuade' or 'convince' a student in university. Your speech 'educated' them - something a university education should be doing by encouraging critical thinking.

Although the topics of gender, free speech, race, cancel culture, victimhood and climate change seemed unlikely to make much difference in real life the world has now woken up to realise that our schools had added these topics to the syllabus as 'education' and been teaching them for a couple of generations. Orwell's 1984 creeps ever closer. Then the kids went to universities, which used to be the home of debate, diversity and free speech, but they had introduced rules which didn't allow the opinions contrary to their own in case the kid's feelings were hurt! Instead they have been teaching kids they are victims, and they need to protest, and they are now full of anxiety, instead of going out and changing the world by working! I understand that fire brigades have, for a few years now recruited using diversity quotas before ability to do the job or fitness. Unconscious bias, where you can be perceived by others to be for example racist so you are guilty of racism without even knowing you are!! White privilege - you should feel guilty about being white even though you had no choice what colour your family was. (A new brand of racism?) Equality, inclusion and diversity - teachers have been encouraging kids at school to try changing gender, names and pronouns without telling their parents. Control - the authorities restricting personal choices such as the way we travel, how often, how, where and why. What we eat, how we heat our homes etc. I read yesterday that the health watchdog is trying to ban people bringing cakes into the office for birthdays etc., likening it to passive smoking in the workplace! What we buy and implying some of our choices are not for the greater good of the community. Censorship - of books, authors and so on who aren't seen as supporting the new regime. (JK Rowling for example) Criticising wealth creation and wealthy individuals however much they use their wealth to benefit society in general. Cancelling history by removing historical artefacts from museums and public places in case they offend other wokies - as previously done overseas by dictatorships and oppressive regimes. H & M are prime examples of 'woke doctrine' and see themselves as victims, but instead could choose to help change the world for the better if they set their minds to it. If I am wrong in thinking this is in the main bad for a free democracy please let me know.
