I don’t always comment but I always watch your videos, I’m a retired driver and always kept a beautiful lorry as it was my home all week. Sadly it didn’t matter how clean your lorry was inside, some mechanics just didn’t bother, I’ve had greasy gloves left on my bed, grease on my curtains, I even got my lorry back one Sunday and the radio didn’t work. After months of arguing Daf trucks supplied a new radio, yes some mechanics are great but others couldn’t give a toss about the lorry. Kind regards to you all, give Opie a big cuddle from me. In the start of the video when you're talking to Opie he has a front leg lifted just like our Belgian Malinois does. 😁 Our granddaughter-in-law is a diesel mechanic at the local Kenworth shop and she hates working on the "Ag" trucks as they're usually covered in mud and cow crap. So yes, they do care.

Plus it makes it easier to get wrenches on bolts when their clean. Some machanics will turn trucks away if they are too filthy . Thanks for being considerate, your type is a dying breed.

You have a cord hanging from above your windshield down toward your CB radio. It looks like it is a power cord for your GPS, perhaps. You might want to see if you can find an extension cord and run the power cord around the windshield so that it does not block your view. You may not realize it’s going on, but every time you look past an object like that to look in the distance, your eyes want to try to focus on the closer object instead. That creates extra tension in your eye muscles. I was getting eyestrain in the same kind of situation. My optometrist suggested that I move the stuff out of the way of the windshield. Problem solved overnight! Give it a try.

Probably not too applicable here, but I remember watching a KZread once about the Isle of Man TT motorcycle races and they just kept emphasizing how important it was to clean your machine. Like take it apart and clean every piece. And the reason for that was not because they are just clean freaks and soap nazis, the reason is because when you go through that exercise, that’s when you’re going to find the little things that can kill you. I doubt there’s anything to find on this KW that will kill anybody, but there definitely could be more serious issues hiding under the road grime. It’s a good philosophy to keep it clean.

When bringing into the repair shop a clean truck fine mechanics would notice, thin k here is a driver with pride. And so, perhaps they in turn will demonstrate their pride by being extra careful when the repairs are made. Psychology works both ways. Sloppy truck, maybe sloppy cleanup after repairs. I might be mistaken.

O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 Dude, wouldn’t say that you’re wired wrong, but all of those air fresheners are a bit geeky! LOL! At least you still take pride in your old ride & that says it all! Let’s hope that your steering wheel & shifter stay clean & ungreesy! Having your rearends repaired can be a pain in the rear & time consuming! I expected your dad to come to the rescue….that’s what he does…rescue anyone in trouble. I always like to see what you’re trying to explain when it comes to certain parts of the truck. It helps me put everything together & makes more sense to me…and I know some of the parts already from being in a Truckin Family! If that shop treats you & your truck well then by all means bring your truck back to them. Good shops are hard to find…you know that. Keep us posted my friend. Blessings.🤩😎✌️

You are not wired wrong. My grandmother always taught me something similar when I was a young boy. She said to always have clean underwear on because you never know when some doctor or nurse might have to work on me. The same can be said for your living quarters. Always try to keep it clean because you never know when visitors come knocking. Years ago when I was trucking I carried a Doberman with me in the Peterbilt cabover and consequently, I was always cleaning the bunk and the front of the cab to get rid of the short dog hairs that always seemed to find their way into my nose.
