Honey do not sell that vintage Chanel. I dislike Chanel and still think that bag is gorgeous and it’s a piece of history. You will definitely regret selling it. A 1996 bag that looks that good? That’s every vintage lover’s dream.

I think so too. The market is also low now so you'll always be able to sell it later. Only cause it's your birth year bag. Unless one day you no longer care about it

I feel like the reason you don’t wear them isn’t that there is something wrong with these bags, but that you have too many bags that fit the same purpose like brown crossbody bags, or the small white bags. Having less bags that fit the same need would mean all get worn more often

I’ve been feeling that I want to downsize for a while now, thing is I’ve been quite intentional with every bag I own and it’s been such a process to find the specific shade of this or the size of that. I don’t impulse purchase a lot so it makes it very hard to sell them

@@JesuisLou Except for fhe Picotin which looks differnt enough, I don't think you will miss any of the other if you sell them.

Unless you need the money, do NOT sell your vintage Chanel. You will definitely regret it when you get older. Even though you’re not using it right now doesn’t mean you won’t use it in the future (even if the future means your 30’s or 40’s). So enjoy looking at it , knowing that you’re preserving the condition of it until you’re ready to use it again. And even if you end up not using it, if you ever have a daughter, I can promise you that when she’s old enough to appreciate vintage Chanel, she will LOVE having a bag like that from the year her mother was born! Bags like that - and in that condition - don’t come around that often, so you definitely don’t want to get rid of it!

Great video when I’m feeling it’s time to move a bag on I force myself to use it for at least 3 days straight to figure out why I’m not reaching for it anymore usually I find I still love it and will start to reach for it more then sometimes it gives me enough time to figure out what’s not working for me and I can then separate from it and move it on.

I love the Picotin and the Kelly to go Lou!! Both are beautiful bags!! But I also think sometimes if you feel like you have too many bags to enjoy them all, its quite healthy to let go of the bags you no longer enjoy 🤍🤍

I waited three years for a PSM so I’m not letting it go ever 😂 I wanted it since it was $1800 and I finally got it and paid $2440! I’m just going to pass it down to my sister or if I have a daughter one day. I say keep it ❤️

I agree with others that the colors in your collection are very similar and overlap, so you're more likely to use the others because of the amount of choices. I had a problem with this a few years ago and I had to force myself to change my purse out every couple of weeks so I'm using the ones I own (or letting go of the ones I don't.) The downside is I sometimes forget to switch things between bags hahaha

i agree with everyone saying to NOT sell the vintage beige chanel! also, i would highly suggest getting an insert for it, or stuffing it, to preserve the good condition its in. you don't want the condition to deteriorate simply from it sitting on a shelf.

Kelly to go: I'd sell if you don't wear it a lot. waiting to see is smart though, especially since it was one of your most worn last year 1996 Chanel: I wouldn't sell if it has sentimental value, but I would if you can get past that Picotin: I LOVE the picotin so I am biased, but it's so nice and it looks so good in that color. I'd push myself to wear it more :) Palm springs: don't sell. it's the bag that got you interested in luxury bags, and I could see you using it more in the future Jumbo: don't sell. it's such an iconic mom bag, and I could see you using it in the future

Your smart to hold on to things like the ToGo to see if you are just in a Mini Kelly phase and will be over it soon. Also so smart to try and figure out why you aren’t reaching for your Picotin. Smart, informed decisions are the best and will keep you from regrading your decision to give up and help you with new purchases.

I love vintage Chanel. Most beautiful bag in my opinion in your collection

1) You must keep the gold classic. I had a beige Claire and then purchased the caramel. I then sold the beige and regretted it so much a year later so ended up repurchasing at a higher price. The caramel and beige vintage are two very different bags. 2)keep the Kelly to go. Stunning. 3) I’m not a LV lover but this particular one suits you so much 4) Picotin is beautiful. I am also debating if to add but also feel maybe too small. Plus small bags I prefer crossbody. 5) have the exact jumbo although I don’t use it so much I would not part with it. As for the Picotin which is a tote kind of shape + not so structured bag, I'd say that you don't wear it that much anymore because bigger bags are all of the rage right now. So maybe that's why you're less drawn to this bag, but i do think that the Picotin would be definitely perfect and practical in a bigger size.

LV bucket bags used to carry champagne bottles…I feel like I need to buy some mini Moët bottles and put it in my LV bucket bag or Hermes bucket bag haha

I have the Picotin 18. I love it, and it's quite practical for running errands with your summer dresses, casual and understated if one is not carrying the kitchen sink; as for the closure, I leave it unlocked boom problem is solved! Perhaps you have too many of them.

Hola Lou! Muy buen video, pero no puedes vender la Kelly to go ni la vintage classic flap, son 2 carteras que si van con tu estilo, y que son muy dificiles de conseguir. Es normal que al tener mayor variedad cada cartera sea usada menos, pero ya volveras a usarlas. Son simplemente hermosas, y sobretodo la classic flap es una pieza historica.

Keep that vintage Chanel! Otherwise, I want it. See? Keep it. Like you said, you wont get it again and the future is hopefully long for you. That bag is special. I would totally buy it if you are selling.

I dream about the blue brumé Kelly to go. I’d be soooo happy to take it off your hands! If you do sell it I’d love to know about it even if it’s through a reseller. I’ve been looking for it.

If you don't see yourself reach for a bag again (and that's all that matters, IMO), let it go. I only regret getting a couple of bags again after selling them (Kelly to go one of them) and I wish hadn't let them go the first time. So I have learned to think through selling a bag carefully.

okay so for the kelly to go sometimes when a bags purpose replaces another usually you wont reach for the older bag so in this case it would be a good idea to sell

I would only let go of the Kelly and the mini LV backpack I find those very trendy. The other bags are classics IMO. I have a picotin nata 18 ghw and it is such an easy carefree summer bag for me. I actually bought the bigger size backpack from LV because I thought the smaller size was too trendy and popular, also the reason I dont like the mini kelly at all I love classics. But thats the nice thing everyone's taste is different.

It’s hard to give advice regarding your pretty bags. Anyway here are my thoughts: 1. Keep the Vintage Chanel in your year 🥰! 2. Keep the Picotin or try to size up maybe in another color. 3. Sell the Kelly2go or use it as a Wallet. I completely understand that the Mini Kelly is your preferred Kelly Version. 4. I agree that you should keep your jumbo because you will probably get into wearing again in the future, BUT I wonder how comfortable it is for you. I am 5’4” and a size small, and the jumbo is just too heavy for me. My BFF loves her jumbos, and once in awhile I will hold one while we are out shopping, and dang, it is HEAVY 😊 But I used to carry larger bags all the time (typical mom bags with room for everything) but the last few years I have been all in on the mini bag trend 😊 So maybe I am just not used to bigger bags any more. But since I know you are a smaller frame than I am, I wonder if it is too heavy for you as well. But I am twice your age, so that means I don’t like being uncomfortable anymore, even for Chanel 😇

Hi Lou! I’d sell the blue Hermes bc you have others similar. Make space for something different 😊. The vintage Chanel I’d sell too bc of the color. It’s so cold that looks like grey beige. I particularly don’t like it. If you seel your picoton, seel to me 🤪. It’s so cool and different! I love it! I’m considering owning one. LV doesn’t look like your style anymore. Regarding your question, yes: I sold two vintage bags recently bc I don’t reach for them anymore. Medallion Chanel bc it’s too big for me and Promenade bc it’s too small.

I would sell them all except the Jumbo and maybe the Kelly to go. You can make space for the things you love. Our styles evolve and it’s ok.

In the future I can see you throwing the kelly to go in a baby bag. The only one that I think you should sell is the Picotin to go to the next size up. Nothing against that bag but it’s limited. You could get a cool color Picotin like a vert comic ( is that correct? Not going to look it up to check. And you’re only 26. My goodness, you’ll have different wants in decades to come.

You could probably sell all of them without regrets except for the 1996 chanel. I think you should keep that one based on its condition, colorway, and the fact its for your birth year. To me that vintage flap is in a very different colour to the caramel or Hermes gold colour. Personally it’s a beige - not brown - and beige and browns are different!! 😂😂😂 Do you think you prefer brown shades rather beige shades?? If so, maybe if it’s in a different colour, you would use it more. Why not keep hold of it while you search for another birth year vintage Chanel? I know it’s hard to come by, but if it does happen, you can then sell this one.

@@JesuisLouI also let my PSM go last year - it was the old/original version that turned out to have a defect, so LV took it back and gave me a credit for another bag. I ended up getting the Speedy B 25 in Cognac, but haven’t really used it so it’s on the chopping block. Even without the defect, I was ready to let my PSM go, because I hadn’t worn it in a few years. I was obsessed with it initially, but I think I wore it so much, I got tired of it. If you’re not wearing it, especially b/c you mention that it’s hard for you to pair with you current wardrobe, then I would sit on it for another year or less, then let it go. It’s ok to move on, revoke bags that no longer work for you.
