Do I Own My Idea? The Nature of Creative Manifestation

Eckhart discusses the inception of ideas and the process of creative manifestation. It's not a question of idea ownership with shared conceptions but overall enjoyment of the creative process as its primary to the outcome. Subscribe to find greater awareness in life: bit.ly/EckhartYT

Eckhart Tolle is widely recognized as one of the most original and inspiring spiritual teachers of our time. He travels and teaches throughout the world.
Eckhart is not aligned with any particular religion or tradition, but excludes none. His profound yet simple and practical teachings have helped thousands of people find inner peace, healing and greater fulfillment in their lives. At the core of his teachings lies the transformation of individual and collective human consciousness - a global spiritual awakening.
Eckhart Tolle is the author of The Power of Now, a #1 New York Times Bestseller, which has been translated into 32 languages and become one of the most influential spiritual books of our time.
In his most recent book, A New Earth, he shows how transcending our ego-based state of consciousness is not only essential to personal happiness, but also the key to ending conflict and suffering throughout the world.

I would like to watch it again. It is a very very common issue and many people will be grateful for that video. Thank you. Eckhart and Kim and everyone involved in bringing these teachings to us, thank you for everything.

This is a master class in lovingly listening, then penetrating a stubborn ego. Notice how the man is so reluctant to be vulnerable that his "question" is really just a flattering story about himself, and when Eckhart does give some recommendations the man responds with agreement as though he also knows the answer and is confirming that Eckhart is in fact correct. In doing so, his ego is pretending like he's sitting next to Eckhart on stage giving everyone else wisdom. Sometimes I really wonder how people like this can spend all this time studying masters and enlightenment yet be so far from the mark. I suppose we all act in ways that are unflattering at times, but to me this man is very very low on the consciousness scale. I wish him the best

@@Huia87 It seems I touched a nerve with you. Are you the man in the video? Maybe that's why you take my comment so hard? Did I say that I thought I was enlightened? I'm also having trouble seeing a "put down" in my comment.. Perhaps you're right that it wasn't something constructive to say in a public forum. Sometimes when I notice something and have no one to relate it with, I resort to a public comment in hopes of validation of what I feel so clever for noticing. Anyways, thanks for speaking truth and shining light on my unwise conduct.

Well i want to give you an answer and maybe i'm 2 months late. But maybe this could help even more now. Have you noticed that all of this that you supposedly notice was all a creation of your mind and your own filters? For some reason you put Eckhart on a pedestal, he is not at all different from us and he knows it. We all already know the answers we are seeking, but we often are doubtful about them or we don't see them because we are so caught up by our feelings, but when someone else with more clarity tell us is so obvious to us that is true, that deep down we already knew. Or i don't know if we already knew, is just that is so obvious when you look at it with clear eyes, it is like "OF COURSE how could i not see that before, it was right in front of me" so yeah of course he will nod in agreement, because well it's obvious and maybe he already actually knew that and what he needed to accept and just wanted to get on the stage and talk about himself and use the doubt as an excuse. But that's not proof of anything, conciousness is what we are, there's not a scale to it. That's a sign of the ego working in you, an ego that has become spiritual, giving itself pride by putting a scale to conciousness. Because you wouldn't be talking about a scale if you didn't feel that you were a little bit higher on that scale. That's just spiritual pride, which is actually just ego. Conciousness is what we are, it is what that man is. He is just caught up in some ego plays but you can tell he is living a good life and i think to some people here that strikes a cord, maybe because of deep hidden envy, or i would say contempt which comes from pride and if you investigate that you'll find out why. But i can tell you cause i've been there. The thing is to all of us who are on a spiritual path, seeking to awake to our true nature, after reading and understanding many things about it we start to get a little prideful about it, thinking unconciously that we are better than those who are not on the path or understand this, we have compassion for those who are on the path and seeking to become conscious, but we usually hold an unconcious contempt for those who are not or those who don't fall into the category of what we consider to be a concious person, we despise them. Rawfully said. And the thoughts go a little bit like "who do they think they are, they think they are so good, but they are not as concious as i am, or my path is better, theirs is unconcious and egocentric" which comes with the idea and feeling that the ego is something bad or low, which is not, as Eckhart puts it the ego is not bad is just unconcious. At least that's what i noticed in me, maybe it helps you, maybe not.

First, I appreciate this man’s honesty. We’ve all been there. Second, at some point he’ll realize all of it is an offering to learn. I too had to learn this and now grateful in actualizing our mind’s tendency to hold on to authorship and why. If I knew then what I know now, I would have created differently when I was once in a corporate leadership role, but it’s ok all of it was part of my process in reaching self-realization. Grateful to witness this man going through his own human experiences and the offerings of learnings he’s receiving.

The collective consciousness explains how a person on one side of the world invented the internal combustion engine and the thought "what can I use as fuel for this"? While on the other side of the world someone else refined oil to within an inch of i's life and ended up creating petrol and then thought "what on Earth am I going to use this for"?

Great conversation😁 A great example would have been Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison...A rather tenuous situation but a great example of our intuitive connection to the vast abundance of Creation energy which we are all an aspect of... Reminds me of Tesla's quote, 'The present is theirs, but the Future which I worked for is mine.' Turns out very true as the best car company is named after him now😊

Ideas are not meant to be owned and bought and sold for money but Used for Good - for ourselves and others. We would have no need for patents and copyright laws if people were not so greedy. All we need for life is free but we are forced to pay for everything! Things are made for profit not for need. It's a crazy system we are all caught up in. As this realisation is coming to me, I am finding that others are thinking the same. That just shows that I am linked into the Universal Consciousness. I like how Eckhart said that he HAD to wrote or it would've destroyed him. We need to trust that we will always be supported when we follow Essences/Universe/God's Plan for us.

I was wondering in case u are facing a mid life crisis and you are really looking to reinvent yourself career wise, but you don't really know what you want, or you are passionate about starting a lot of things, but unsure about each and every one of them... Where do you begin to put life into perspective? Do you use your mind or you try to 'feeel yourself into it'? What do you guys think?

"Basically there is only one consciousness" This probably sounds good to many people but I'm critical of such generalizations and oversimplifications. We humans are looking for common sense which can be very beneficial for every human being but even common sense can have evil consequences. There are many examples of collective ideologies that have lead to disastrous outcomes. I don't condemn or reject individuality being aware that the concept of "I" is very flexible.
