They were probably started when the collab dropped and then did a pivot on the tuning. Figured the Ultra would just get rid of the normal stock I guess. Showed them.

Nice insights man @Z Reviews. I'm lovin' both my Ultras and the MK2, keepin' both. What you just mentioned about the MK2, improving on the Ultras, is what I felt about my set. And yes, someone on the same camp of lovin' the S&S tips in XL size 😎👌

I bought the Sa6 ultra (n°z156), i love them for the quality of mediums and trebles. Sometime i feel that they would be perfection with more bass so i boost them with the equalizer and it become great.

This does not seem like a problem. Everyone was sad that SA6 Ultra sold out. Now others might get to enjoy something very very close. We all win. Except maybe those poor souls who might have purchased SA6 Ultra hoping to sell them for a profit?

To make any silicone tips stick better into your ears and don't pop out of them, you should use a thinner and lighter cable. A thin cable has less weight and won't pull the IEM out of your ears so easy, especially when your ear canals starts to sweat or while you're moving your head or walking. Also, if your ears aren't small, always pick the larger size.

True, I have the MK2 and the included cable is the heaviest I own, and even though I have several KZs and Moondrop IEMS, this is my most expensive IEM with the worst cable. Would not recommend the cable.

These will have quite a bit more mid bass than the Meteor. Meteor really focus on the sub bass and upper sparkle, and IMHO they sound stunning, but it's a totally different tuning. The meteor to my ear are similarly tuned to the Hifiman Arya in terms of low end rumble without a bass boost, and quite a bit of air detail.

I've had the SA6 Ultra and really loved them. Sold the tho after comparing them to the Monarch Mk2. I felt like the MMk2 gave me more complex sound. Now after playing with Meteor for the last week, im seriously considering selling the MMk2. That's how good the Meteors are. For me better than the SA6 Ultra, so they can possibly be also better than the SA6 Mk2 but it's a blind judgement, will need to compare them to be 100% sure.

Meteor is more warm and fun, less detail.

By now you would think Z had realised that a Chi-fi product last for at most a couple of months before getting replaced by this months sales

These are a great pair of IEM. I know this for two reasons: 1. I own a pair 2. BAGAR doesn't like them that much (no surprise)

Don't give yourself credit. All you did was retuned an already excellent IEM. SA6 mk2 is the next version of the SA6, which is all Dunu's!

I hope you have a FiiO FT3 headphone on the way. They’re something special…..

I have issues many sounds, but good music and iem can work, but some KZread video could make my misophonia rage

This IEM is so expensive for me that live in Brazil. It would be so nice if Dunu makes a "lite" version of this IEM. Like 3D printer shell (I think the shells are handcrafted), a more simple case and a simple cable to reduce costs.

Disclaimer: the following is more a defense of free trade/capitalism/how the world works than a defense of Zeos specifically. Indeed, lets put this in perspective. 300 pairs x $600 cost = $180,000. Lets say his cut was 10%. Thats $18,000. How much time did he put in? Lets say he put in 10 hours of discussion/analysis/etc. Well hey, wait a minute, thats $1,800 an hour! Is it? Why did Dunu collaborate with Zeos? Why didnt they collaborate with you. Is 10 hours really the correct amount of time to analyze? How is value measured? How is "time put in" measured? This youtuber has been analyzing audio and putting out videos almost everyday for 10 years (generalization). Hes built up credibility with a large audience through some level of authenticity (perceived or imagined). If Michael Jordan does an ad for Coca-Cola do you take into consideration the journey to arrive at that ad? The 30 years of practice, the championship rings? How exactly should value be calculated? Is this all a matter of hourly rate? What about level of expertise? What about level of influence. Theres a reason they didnt collaborate with me or you. You are coming at this from a "labor theory of value" perspective. This is a Marxist view of how this transaction should work. If i spend 50 hours to build you a desk and a professional spends 20 hours building you a desk - i will be able to charge $100 dollars for my desk because it'll be shit. A professional can charge $5,000 for his desk. Not because he spent 20 hours on it. Because the labor theory of value is not how the real world works. His application of years of experience isnt simply quantified by "hours worked on your specific item". Its not surprising that someone who espouses a marxist view of economics would post this. As Jordan Peterson said, "they dont love the poor, they just hate the rich". Hopefully that puts things in perspective, if not for you, at least for others reading your "criticism".

@@TheTastefulThickness Not criticism as you state. Zeos went to the airwaves seeking sympathy. I'm interested in knowing the full story before drawing a conclusion. Obviously they went to Zeus for the exposure - fine! smart! But in my opinion they were unlikely seeking expertise. I find Zeos an entertainer, not an informer no matter how many videos he has put out, or headphones he's tried. The channel is primarily boobs and dick jokes. I really can't imagine Zeos doing anything but saying "hey, if you make it warm and fun I'll put my name behind. it." I can't see him in a serious back-and-forth sweating the details. So in a perfect capitalist dog-eat-dog system, things worked out fairly and as expected. Zeos got some compensation for lending his name and exposure. Unfortunately for Zeos, he underestimated sales, blundered in negotiations, and didn't/couldn't read the market. Dunu capatalized on his naïveté - bravo, right?. Your Jordan would be quite happy with the outcome.

The depends entirely on use case. If you're staying at a desk on fixed amps, then yes - straight connector all the way. On the flip side, if you're going portable (my 99% use case, personally), then you want the 90 connector. It makes it so much better and less annoying for the way I keep my BTR5 clipped to my shirt pocket. Straight connectors end up catching things as I move around, where the 90's I have are great for keeping to themselves near the amp. So it just depends on useage - and I feel that for the price of these they could put both in and not be hurting. Hopefully Z can lean on them enough to do so. ;)

I dunno. I feel like they shouldn't have cut you out of the update, especially after you requested they make more of them. That doesn't feel right. It appears that they wanted to Capitalize on the success of your collaboration and but not having to share the profits this time. Maybe there's something I'm missing, but I don't respect that.

It's not so much about the product - it's about Zeos. I've agreed for quite a few years that Zeos knows good sound. Now we know that Zeos can help tweak things for good sound. So one product vs the person who helped make that product what it is? I'd rather have access to the man that inspired the product. And no, Zeos is not an engineer, but he knows good sound.
