Do I buy the RE Classic 350 or the Bullet 350?

Ethel says Classic Willie 😂 Depends if you like lots of Chrome to look after or as you mentioned the signals which is simple to look after, wash , rinse job done. Seen one done as WW2 despatch riders bike all army green with brown leather saddle, khaki canvas panniers and leather tool roll on the front . Even had a blackout slit cover for the headlight . Straight out of DDay.

Dear stunningly wondrous Willie . You simply must take out a wonderful Bullet on an increfible long term loan , like I handsomely do . Then you will know how marvellously you fit the stunningly beautiful bike . At present I am bravely riding Commando on a wonderful Norton . And gosh there's nowhere for my feet ! I keep putting them on the gear and brake levers . So the tyres screech in complete agony . It's not a good thing to leave skidmarks whilst riding Commando .I am mortified . PS . When you pack to move to super Suffolk , don't leave your sewing machine behind .

When I first “met” you, in 2020, I’d just bought my Speedmaster and was re-discovering the joys of motorcycling. I rode in Rain Mode the first 500 miles, motivated by an abundance of caution. When I switched to Road, I noticed no low rpm throttle lag, or snatchiness, as you call it. Same engine, but different tune, of course. Booster plug was on my wish list, because I was gonna have every damned mod available. But the Indian replaced the Bonnie before I’d got to that. Very interested to hear your booster plug observations. Cheers!

I'm new to your channel, however you mentioned not as many views on your last video. It can be because you changed the format, there are so many riding videos out there already, however yours is normally more of a sit down chat and discussion, a wee bit like the Val Doonigan show lol. I have a channel too, I'm planning to do more with it as I have had to take extended time off work due to mental health. Mine is bike related too from my perspective and more of a chat and how too, which is why I like your channel. Anyhoo keep up the videos and try to stay with the type of videos that bring in views as that's the type people want. Good work mate.

Take care buddy 🙏

Another great video thanks Willie, Your garage looks like it's been burgled! (just kidding). I enjoyed your road test video but please do not stop doing your face to face video's as the best part of your channel is the stories and questions on bike related stuff. I'm sure others will agree there is nothing nicer than grabbing a cuppa and having a listen to what you have to tell us or say. Regarding the RE Classic 350 or Bullet 350 the only true way is to test drive the Bullet 350 but I think you will not get on with the seat.

Willie. Not sure if you are aware but you can change the mode without pulling over and stopping. Just pull in the clutch while coasting, press the mode button and wait for the led indicator to switch over and release the clutch. It means you can change on the fly to suit the riding conditions.

I say get a Triumph Scrambler 400 X mate! You can vinyl wrap the gold forks! What I really came to say was, something you probably already know, but after fitting the booster plug, don’t forget to start her up, without touching the throttle and let her run for a full five minutes, (NO throttle! ) so’s the ECU can “learn” to deal with it. Hope it works! 👍👍

I know what you mean about the seat on the bullet 350.. I get that it’s the same traditional shape as the old ones BUT I wish it was a flatter bench seat shape.. there’s a flat seat option you can fit to the HNTR 350 but not the bullet.. shame. Be interested to see which one you go for.

You gotta go with your heart on bike purchases . I wanted a Tenere 700 when they came out a few years back and there were none to be had. I've had three larger performance ADV bikes in that time and while I've loved the 890, I want that T-7. I'm actually looking for the bikes that I can keep for a long time. I'm not into modifying/wrenching bikes, I'm a rider. I'm tired of researching (I think its actually giving me headaches lately) skid plates, hand guards, engine guards, engine mapping, exhaust... I want to set up the bike and ride the wheels off of it for a few hundred thousand miles. I have a 2018 KLR650 that been up on a floor jack getting mods since shortly after I purchased it . That's how much I hate messing with stuff. lol So yeah, my advice is to get what you want, mod it to do what you want and we'll enjoy your riding videos.

@@2wheeledwillie395 I’m unbelievably stoked! I thought I was going to have to rent a UHaul trailer and truck the bike over the mountains about 3-4 hours. Now I only have to drive across town. 😂 Since I’m going to sell the 890 I made arrangements to ride it to the shop tomorrow for new chain & sprockets. Last week I had them give it a thorough once over, oil change, and the 11K service including the valve clearances and cams. This way, whoever buys it should be able to ride across the country.

I think you should go for the classic signals. Knowing your panache for modifications & some say slight addictions to dyeing black to tan & tan to black, you could really knock yourself bandy in turning it into that military look with add ons & the desert rat look or a tribute to the LRDG / despatch driver of the 7th Armour division. 👍

I would of said the classic, until i took the very same bike as Mr Taym took out for a demo, on the very same road. The bullet you seem to sit more upright, i think the handlebars are slightly higher, so your not leaning over the tank so much. And that seat is so comfortable. It looks fantastic in the flesh. Best bet is ride them back to back. Both fantastic bikes. If you haven't already take a look at mr Taym review on the bullet 350😊.
