In regard to foreigners and courting, I can’t speak for every foreigner, but I can tell you how it was for me and my filipina girlfriend. Indeed there was no “courting phase”, because I think foreigners that are actually interested in you see the first few dates more as a “getting to know you” phase. Do I like this girl? Does she like me? Are we getting along? Do we “vibe”? During that phase I don’t think foreigners will put the effort into courting, because they don’t even know yet if they want a relationship with you. And after that the evolution and progression from “I like her” to “I love her” is usually pretty sudden but fluent. One day my now girlfriend was my best friend and the next day she was my girlfriend. But since she’s filipina and I knew she might not understand if I don’t say it out loud, I did ask her to be my girlfriend directly, which I probably wouldn’t do if I was dating back home in Europe. And after that decision to be in a relationship the little sweet things, that you might call courting, started. Lovely dinner dates, flowers, gifts, whispering sweet nothings etc. Once I have a relationship to invest in, I will invest in it with effort. But rarely before I’m even sure whether I like that girl. Filipinos still have that fantasy that big love suddenly happens out of nowhere; somebody that never talked to you before is suddenly eternally smitten and will do everything for you. But that’s usually just a fantasy, because I don’t think you can call that crush “love”. When I’m in love, I will do everything you consider “courting”. But usually not before I’m sure it’s love.

Same. I had to declare/ ask her to be my girlfriend after months of online chatting.. There was no way I would even declare an "LDR" with her prior to meeting in person. All went well in person and during that time after I asked and made it "official" that we were boyfriend/girlfriend is when the "courting" really began. Prior. we just chatted and vibed well and hoped for the best that in person meeting would happen.. and it would go well.

As a guy from the US, pretty much the same, but I'm only talking about me. The first few dates ate get to know her. If we click, I ask her to be my gf, and court her. I didn't even realize that I courted until I met (not romantically) a filipina and was talking to her, and she explained courting, and I realized I courted. Too many Western women seem to view courting in a negative light.

@@BigJay039 When my girlfriend first explained courting to me, i was a bit confused. It very much sounded like what I was used to with an innocent middle-school / high-school crush back home. Like a negotiation to get comfortable with the idea of falling in love, but not actually dating haha But yeah, in the west when you're supposed to meet your partner on eyelevel and on equal footing, it is a bit strange to make the men work just for their affection to be heard. Feels like dating a process, not a person. I don't envy filipino men haha In the west i think we simply include all the deeds of courting into our existing relationship, at least if we want to make our women happy lol

The Lady in the center, was very smart, and Spoke great English. Yes connection is rare, but when you find that someone, it is the best feeling ever. I hope that all three of you find that connection, and find the men that truly are the best for you. Dating apps can be tricky, and I have used them for many years, and have gotten heart broken by them. Many were not telling the truth based they were not who they really are, and some are bad feminists here in the US. I truly believe that there are great women out there, and in fact have met a special Filipina, and have had an LDR, for a year, and it gets better all the time. If you are seeing a foreigner, and you both are acting like you want to be exclusive, you never will. You are not going to be someone exclusive, if you are still checking out me, as you are not acting or ready to be with one man, and the foreigner will sense that. 😊😊😊

Press "X" to doubt. Especially introverts, for them apps of this type are salvation to meet someone "similar to them", someone who does not like a crowd of people or unnecessarily outgoing, but needs the "closeness" of someone next to them. So they can know each other and go out of their bubble.

As I responded to your other video about body count it looks like the Western dating culture has invaded the Philippines and that is sad. Those sites mentioned are hookup apps and very shallow. Swiping right and left is only about looks and rarely based on anything else. Very shallow and very typical western culture based on looks and status and almost nothing on morals, integrity, faithfulness, purity. The stuff that really matters and endures over shallow beauty. I am definitely looking for province girls because this toxic, shallow dating culture is unbearable. The one guest could be my neighbor in the US and it's this I am trying to avoid.

Me personally, I wouldn't look for a woman on a dating app or be with a woman that has a dating app. You can say and be anything you want on them. The trust she can and will be loyal and faithful would never be there. It's the interaction when meeting in person that lets you see who they are, and the body language can speak much louder than words, and you can see if there is chemistry between the 2 of you. Women do NOT need a "catchy" line when messaging a guy, something simple like "Hello, I saw you on ____ dating app and wanted to get to know you," is all that is needed. My guess (NEVER used a dating app) the guy will go look at your profile; 1st at your picture, if he thinks you're cute, then he'll move to read your profile, if he likes what you say about yourself, he'll reply. If he doesn't like the pic or your profile, he'll either not reply or reply with I'm not interested. It really is that simple for women, guys need the "catchy" lines to separate them from all the other guys. For a Filipina interested in a foreigner, all you have to do is NOT behave in ANY way like a western woman, and you are already on the right path. Watch a few KZread videos from western women and LEARN from them how NOT to behave, these are the women men are FLEEING their own countries to get AWAY from. A foreigner can have a hour long conversation with someone they never met before. If you see one on the street, don't be afraid, shy, or embarrassed to walk up to them and say HI, most foreigners would be happy to stop and talk to you, they really are that friendly and out going. Also, remember most foreigner men are blunt, they don't need to tell a story about their feelings, they stick to facts and logical thinking and get straight to the point, don't take it as them being aggressive, condescending, or argumentative, it's just the way they are and how they talk. I agree, telling a guy you're not looking for anything serious when he is, will instantly make him lose interest, but it is also better to be up front so you aren't wasting either of your time. If you go into a relationship thinking it will fail, you won't put any effort into it and it will fail. You NEED to dig deep into why a relationship failed, so you can learn from YOUR mistake so you don't keep making it. The problem with the "nice" little things a guy does for a lady is when they become expectations, she expects it all the time, and if he doesn't then problems and arguments happen. Those "nice" little things are NOT a measurement of how much he cares, just because he doesn't do it constantly does NOT mean he doesn't care, and when they are done constantly it takes away the special meaning behind them, it becomes just another day another nice thing. They can be a way of showing appreciation to you for what you did for him, if you haven't done anything don't expect appreciation. Manage YOUR EXPECTATIONS, life is NOT a Disney fairy tale inside your head, don't EXPECT something to happen or a specific response/reply in your head and get angry when it doesn't happen, life works in the REAL WORLD.

She had an incredible body in my opinion, and so did he. They worked out all the time together when he wasn't working and she wasn't studying. He won an Amateur Mr Hawaii Bodybuilding Contest once, and she built her body so nicely that she decided she didn't want kids because she didn't want to mess that beautiful body up! Hey Rubi - love your content! Was wondering if you could give some advice to Filipinos coming back to the homeland to relocate and date and/or find a long-term relationship? There is definitely a better understanding between the two since language and culture match up much more - but I still feel like a foreigner whenever I am home to visit my lolos/lolas, if that makes sense. Assuming we can speak/understand the language, would it better to date/live in our home provinces? Live in a major city? How easy is it to make friends? Do westernized balikbayan have a difficult time acclimating to the homeland? I couldn't find anyone who could answer these questions and I like how you organize your videos! Hope you can help, if not, still love the channel - keep up the great content. :)

It is all about economics when it comes to older foreigners and younger Filipinas. The province girls will only earn less than 10,000 P per month so if you give them that as a personal allowance, plus pay all the cost of living expenses you can find one who is happy and willing to stay home and focus on you. 11:00 I can’t speak for all Americans, yet for traditional Southern men courtship is pretty straightforward. There’s no such thing as “online dating” 🫣 it’s just “online friendships” 💯 until an in-person meeting happens. The first in-person connection will be the determining factor. If the sparks are right, the man will simply say something like, “will you be mine?” If the answer is yes, then that’s when courtship starts 🫰🫡 if the man wants you to be his, having never actually met you in-person 😬 automatic red flag 🚩 If he has confidence issues and can’t be straightforward, I believe that to be a major red flag 🚩

Dear Rubeauti, We do have courting in the States, but just either most guys don't do it or the women actually don't know how to react as ladies so it has faded away greatly. Also, it is mostly a trait of country boys or what you would call province guys.

As for me I never needed to explain courting to Will he did it on his own ,the effort and everything I truly appreciate it . I never felt so loved like the way he made me feel . Him being my bf is beyond amazing. He is such a dream . And I didn't meet him through a dating site . 6 feet tall auburn hair perfect pink lips ,hard working and amazing personality but sadly we didn't end up together due to religious reasons on my side of the equation. Thing is once you start dating foreign men for some reason you can't go back to locals
