Not all figs require a wasp to produce a fruit. Many commercial figs grown in the US. Produce fruit without pollination. For example, varieties like, Mission, Celeste, and Brunswick, do not need pollination

We eat dead insects SO much more than we realize. Whenever you eat produce it's highly likely you eat bits and pieces of tiny or microscopic bug parts. You most certainly eat teeny tiny bug parts from peanut butter. We even inhale tiny microscopic bugs parts. So it's all good, don't worry if you think you ate a piece of fig wasp. It's good protein, and all kinds of cultures eat bugs as a delicacy

@@TurinTuramber yes. The queens’ wings are clipped, and she is left to mate many times. In the wild, the queen lays her eggs at the end of her life and they are fertilized, but in the industry, the drones (male bees) are forced to mate with the queen and always die. It’s also been proven that bees have a developed nervous system. Also, isn’t it a little gross to be eating bug vomit?

@@yourlilbrudder5766 There are definitely plenty of beekeepers that don't do any of those things. I would also urge caution when preaching morals about food production, vegans may just be a lesser evil. Bee vomit is far less gross than people's personal hygiene.
