In both Japan and Australia, official Birkenstock store staff told me my size was 39 when I tried them on. Initially, I purchased size 39 as advised, but they felt slightly large, and the sandals’ arch didn’t match my foot’s arch, causing a lot of pain. For my second pair, I followed my intuition and bought size 38, which fit perfectly in terms of arch, heel cup, and toe position, making them very comfortable. Although the straps on the size 38 fit on the second tightest hole at first, they stretched significantly over time, leading me to create a new hole for a better fit. I believe Birkenstock should consider improving the placement of strap holes.

“From the edge of the footbed”, wondering if the Birkenstocks customer service meant inside edge or outside? The footbed edge has a width of about 2 mm…

Birkenstocks fit large to me if only because the toe recess is quite forward on the sole leaving the back too roomy.

Try a size or two down in the store is best

Im honestly frustrated at this point cause in most shoes i wear eu 38. My actual foot length is size 37.5 but due to my wide asian feet i wear eu 38. I bought Veja in 38 and they are TOO BIG ON ME 😭 then i learned birkenstocks are european based sizing and the model i want is on the "narrow side". If i do risk buying size eu 38 it might look like im wearing my dad's slipper but if i size down to 37 my wide toes might overlap at the front 🥲 Being in between sizes AND having wide asian feet is in fact a personal struggle i suffer with 😭🙏

Wszystko już wiem. Noszę na co dzień 38 (24.5 moja stopa) .Kupiłam Birki 38 i są idealne. Mają już zapas a stopa luźno leży w korytku. Miarka w sklepie on-line prawidłowo wybrała numer.

I checked out Birkenstock and they have a size section that says little kids and big kids… does that mean kids and adults?

I’m assuming infant/toddler/preschool sizes and grade school/youth sizes. Companies call them different things. Big kids would not mean adults. Adults are another size completely.

Us8 is 24.5cm right?

What does the expression “run big” means, please?

It means are they generously sized. Some makers of clothes or shoes give lots of room or space. Others can run small and leave no extra room. If it runs big and you're between sizes, it would let you know that you may want to order the size down. These shoes are designed to give extra room at the front and back to allow your foot room to breathe and move and to let the shoe bed mould to your foot over time. So they don't really 'run big' because its on purpise and its meant to help the shoe work as planned.

How much is this

I bought mine is EU 38 while I wear EU 37 or 36 from other brands. The sales guy at the store told me exactly what you mentioned in the video, but I still feel it is loose not sure why. Can you suggest something here? I tried contacting the store, but they can't help.

I Always size down one size in Birkenstocks--I believe most people do..I hate the space in front and back

@@christinehonka8567 same. I wear EU 38/38.5 but wear a 37 in Birks as I hate the excessive gapping

So I got mine today. And I'm a UK 11 so picked up the EU 46. I had to wear the straps at the tightest point. However, when I'm walking with each step it leaves a gap between the foot bed and my heal (not sure if that made sense). I even measured the distance front and back and it's proper. But, when I'm walking, it feel loose from the back. Any thoughts?

The gap is normal if it is not too big. However many people wear too big Birkenstocks.

Też jestem ciekawa. Jaki ta pani nosi rozmiar innych butów. Ja mam 38(24.5) i scholla są idealne. Z wkładką 25cm jest mi nie wygodnie. Są za duże i ciągle się potykam. Tak więc większe nie znaczy lepsze.
