I believe you're making an impact. I'm a doctor and I saw your spectrum episode about cancer survivors which moved me deeply even though I saw a lot of patients with cancer during my rotations. That episode was has given me a chance to see them as the people who have battled rather than patients with malignant tissue. Thank you! Good job!

I'm a mother to a 7 year old little girl and my goal is to raise her to think this way...our mantra is always ' Treat others how you would like to be treated ' We are all told this but how many of actually live by this? But that does bring up the question of do you even want to understand some psychological states of mind. We can all say we empathise, or want to empathise with pedophiles or serial killers, but personally I don't think they deserve the attention. This person killed/raped someone, do I really want to know understand why? Maybe for scientific/criminal profiling purposes, but outside of that, their reasoning means nothing.

@@MultiFilmstudios Because, misunderstanding leads to them not wanting to speak out about their uncontrollable feelings which in turn, makes it alot harder for them to control their feelings, thus, leading to incidents.

I really respect their answer to diversity. Too often people forget that the most valuable form of diversity is diversity of ideas.

As someone who is adopted I would LOVE to see an episode like that!

When they asked "I feel like i'm making an impact" they ALL should've ran to strongly agree. They deserve so much praise for the hard work and dedication they put into every video. Videos like these change peoples perspectives and help us to have these hard conversations.

This is one of the greatest videos on KZread. What an exceptional team! There's a huge impact being made by this small group

Over the years, I've watched several of your videos, and I've thoroughly enjoyed most of them. You've always had a great selection of ideas on which to base videos, however this video is probably one of my favorites. It was great to see the people behind the camera, and it was even better to learn that you are good people who believe in the message you promote. It is comforting to know that there are people working to better the world in an emotional, social, and intellectual way! Great work, and best of luck getting to the Moon and beyond!

You can be empathetic with someone as in understanding the reasons behind their actions, it does not mean you need to approve the reasons or the actions. It is important to understand why people do things, doubly so why people do heinous, despicable things, if only just so that better measures can be taken to prevent these things from happening, among other reasons.

Empathy is having gone through a situation that someone is going through. Ive never been married, therefore i cant empathize with someome who lost his wife. I can sympathize but not empathize. I think mercy would of been the better term

@@huevosconchorizo8404 That's not what empathy is. Empathy is to try and put yourself in someone else's shoes. You don't have to experience marriage for yourself to have empathy for someone in an abusive marriage. Empathy is like your emotional self imagining what that might be like for that other person. Empathy only gives us a snapshot from our own limited experiences, but the more we practice compassion and understanding, the more empathy we can develop.

I feel like I have become a more understanding person because of this channel. I feel like im more willing to see others points of view, so yes I completely think yall are making an amazing change!

So the last question about making an impact was super interesting because I have learned SO many things in the last few hours that I don't know how I could've gotten anywhere else. Charlotte Harding not only that but for real conservatives. They didn’t say it but I’m hoping that reasonable conservatives get more of a platform. Conservative media is so full of people that are just opposing change made by liberals instead of enacting laws that that they actually believe in.

Even though i don't comment on YT usually, i couldn't resist to leave one, after seeing most of the Jubilee vids and beeing VERY thankful to you guys for the content your'e putting out... ...it really lifts me up to see that, in this day and age, there are some people left, that really care about dialog between folks of all colors, believes, ethnicities, ages and give them voices to be heard by each other and the YT audience. Thanks for doing what you do, bringing people together and giving me hope, that one day the crazyness of the modern world, could be replaced by talking AND listening to each other, empathy and understanding between all human beeings. Jubilee is extremely conscious of themselves, which is why I love this channel over other channels like Cut and Buzzfeed (especially over buzzfeed). That part about needing more conservative thinkers was extremely surprising and actually quite positive. You can't have a universal understanding of people unless you have a well rounded group of people, and I'm happy they are moving toward that.

I like how they’re at least somewhat self aware. They’ve spent so much time trying to get a million different races represented, when what’s really important is the diversity of thought. We don’t need one asian, one indian, one middle eastern person, one black person, one white person, and one latino in every video, because it’s not like all of them are guaranteed to have different opinions just because they have different melanin compositions. We need to promote diversity of thought.

I love how when asked about diversity they said they wanted more diverse view points like having more conservatives

Lol what? How are personal political opinions something you should be more diverse in? Like you can’t ask someone if they’re conservative or liberal when you’re hiring I meann that’s just a result of where you live. If you live in a highly liberal area like la then obviously most people are gonna lean left. Like for me political opinions are no ones business except close friends and myself even my parents aren’t people I talk to about politics. I don’t think companies should try and compensate for that because they live in a liberal area that doesn’t make sense. Diversity is about different races, cultures from people from different countries and/or ancestry from different countries’ cultures, genders, religions, etc. Right? Since when did ideological or philosophical principles become a necessary part of diversifying at least in terms of hiring people for your company? Idk seems like you couldn’t do that without being called out for possibly being discriminatory.

I'm a conservative that watches most of there videos. Some I find cringy but it's all about open dialogue which is something that other liberal channels (and right-leaning channels) are missing. if people could openly discuss issues the world would be a better place

Honestly have a lot of respect for jubilee after this, especially after the part with having more conservatives on staff and saying they need to provide a more open space for them. Not many company's would want to do that, so Jubilee earned my subscription

I love that definition of empathy and completely agree with it

Honestly, next time a teacher asks a kid "what do you want to do with your life" the answer will be "work at Jubilee" This seems like the most respectful and genuine place to work. It is rare to see someone use their intellect and self awareness to battle judgment instead of being the ones judging :)
