DMP #36 - Criminal Cult Leaders

In a slightly more serious (sometimes) podcast episode, Adam Mizner and Damo Mitchell discuss some of the hate that comes their way. Damo reads out an online article which paints himself and Adam as s3xually deviant, criminal cult leaders and the two of them respond.
Being in the public brings a lot of hatred these days and the two shine a light on the kind of attacks which are an almost daily part of their teaching lives.
Trigger warning: If sensitive, you should know that some dark topics are discussed.

The higher you fly the smaller you look in the eyes of the world. First of all I’m not in anyway a student of Damo but am a big fan…I’m 63 now and I can tell you people that both Domo’s books and his videos are some of the best I have ever seen bar none. He’s opened up the world of Nei Gong with honesty and integrity and I for one thank him for this. I understand more after reading Domo’s books and watching his videos in the last 4 years than I have in the past 40. People have no idea how restricted much of the information that Damo now gives out for free was… I suggest people ignore the vitriol that always exists on the internet, it’s just the way it is . I wish Damo a long life and good fortune. Oh, thanks for all your work mate and all the best in your future cultivation.

Adam takes an incredible amount of heat online, and anyone associated with him gets the tar brush. I had people question decades of my training because I said he’s legit. But his teaching has helped me move so far beyond where I was that I really couldn’t care less what those people think. Good for you guys not dropping names. The same people contacted me a while back and tried to convince me of this.

There were folks who stood up and told Stuart Little on his soap box that it was just wrong what he was doing. Like Dawkins, he is so afraid that there is something beyond the material that he feels he must slay the messenger. Sad.

The candor with which you two approach these matters and open up is just as impressive as you taking the high road, staying the course of integrity and morality. Touching such a toxic subject of people trying to drag you to their level of mud without 'butting in or pulling away' as Shifu Adam described pressure response in push hands (paraphrasing perhaps), which just shows you live up to your teachings, which are deep, very hard to come by to that level and you share continuously and freely. The highest accomplished Bagua, Wuji and Vietnamese Wing Chun masters I ever saw all smoked, like countless others in the world, and picking on that during a *free* podcast says so much more about the critic commentator than anything. I also think it's worth mentioning the Jurassic Park LNG tshirt is hillarious. If attaining high skills in the internal arts, maintaining (what I judge as) impeccable moral conduct teaching online and when chatting privately, with humility and self-depricating humor and willingness to openly share it with those who express interest is considered leading a criminal cult these days, I'm going to look for your sign up sheets😂🙏

It's their motivation that remains so mysterious. I know a Ukrainian inner disciple of this Taoist monk from this Dragon Gate branch who was initiated more than ten years ago and only this year started learning Chinese in depth. And this in no way prevents his practice from being deep and successful. By the way, it was with him that I first encountered this approach to body transformation, which I later saw with Damo and Adam - a lot of real static work (with internal details, not just standing), a lot of preparatory practices and all their Taiji Quan- style (which is the style of their monastic lineage) is preparation for seated practice and Nei Dan. kzread.info/dash/bejne/e3-ora2SY7inc9I.html

Great video, considering the awful topics. So sorry to hear about your families being dragged into this nonsense. I used to be in the late Moy Lin-Shin's organisation. He's got his own fair share of internet nonsense about him. He had a monastic background, achieved what he said was an intermediate level of energetic development, and occasionally would have a small drink at dinner functions. I believe he may have smoked when younger and during some big fuss about banning smoking at a venue, he lit up and told the main anti-smoking guy that he was doing more harm getting so angry about it, than breathing in a bit of smoke. There was a warning in the Taoist Tai Chi instructors handbook way back in the 80s, advising people to avoid sexual energy practices. Mr Moy also ended up helping fix people that came to him after getting messed up energetically by some other chi kung teachers, I heard principally the organisation that most famously promotes the sexual stuff. PS I was pleased to see your comments about not tucking the pelvis, in a few places in your videos and books. One of the many things you have said that matches with what we were told.

You need to breath it in deep down into your dantian, the smoke particles will catalyze the low temp nuclear fusion transmutation process in your blood. I addition you can also drink small amount of colloidal gold, monatomic gold and colloidal silver daily, which will have an affinity for the enhanced electrical activity and bind with your nervous system, enabling it to handle more load. Eventually, you'll be able to charge up to 200% Chi or greater, having a surplus of energy to perform various skills. Does this have any basis in reality?🙏🙏

I feel like a little bit of respect should be shown to China, its traditions have given us these arts, we all know the history and causes that have led to the current occupation that has created the anti-foreign environment there. The mountains, temples and rich history are still beautiful and after all tudou isnt really that hard to pronounce is it? Someone like Master Gu at the Wudang Wellness Academy is a true benefit to mankind, he's absolutely wonderful in all respects. Very aesthetically nice and very graceful, good for exercise and good for people’s to move their body. But it is not an internal art in any way at all, not even slightly. But most people don’t need an internal art anyway, it’s complicated and time consuming in the extreme; what most people would be better off doing is moving their body with some aesthetic Wushu and Wudang style fits that bill for sure :)

@@LotusNeiGong Yes we know it has been proven. Anyone who can sell tai chi in 2024 is one hell of a salesman. 🤣

I can see you were upset about someone spreading lies towards you and Adam…but you were highly disrespectful to the Chinese people, the Chinese language, and China especially the Shandong people as a whole….one would think you would respect the origins of the very art (Taoism and Neigong and Tai Ji) you represent with your on line presents…you have made great accomplishments in your practice and sharing your knowledge but insulting others serves what purpose?

Ha - What I didn't do was write articles accusing the Chinese people,e of being sexual predators and so on so don't even bother trying to make that idiotic equivalency. With regards to Shandong, I believe I said they spoke funny; hardly the most offensive thing in the world. Please don't be so daft.

This Fa Jin Facebook Group is so funny... all they do is telling each other that there is no Fa Jin ... and then throw a thousand different ways at each other of how to most certainly not do TaiJi. The other Thing they do is discrediting teachers who actually share proper knowledge 😂 and that is all they got... properly entertained me for a bit ❤
