Bivol was throwing fast 5,6,7,8 combinations and Canelo couldn’t defend all those punches. His Defence is strong also and he never looked under serious pressure all fight. I am a fan after this fight.

No se dan cuenta que esta pelea fue arreglada. Canelo se dejó ganar, hasta le tira golpes al aire. Lo hicieron que perdiera para que la revancha con GGG fuera más creíble. Por eso Nacho Beristain decía que se le hacía muy "rara" esta pelea.

Kovalev in his prime 28-32 in good conditions was too good and too hard nut for Canelo. Not hydrated old Kovalev after second wight loss and second loss to nutcracker Ward. Too shame for him he got into that game and lost reputation.

Whats crazier, and this is just MY opinion, but Bivol seemed to hold back and did not seem to be fighting at his usual full capacity, literally looked like he was just at 50%. I say this bc I’ve followed him for a few years now. For context, check out his other fights. Even his past opponents seemed to have given him a better fight than how canelo performed here. Id even put money that pascal would give canelo a run for his money. But going back, if what my eyes were seeing was real, and weren’t playing tricks on me, I would guess that Bivol fought this way FOR a reason. To not fully show his full potential, in anticipation for a rematch. And when or IF that should happen, I see Bivol going full throttle to completely obliterate canelo and even potentially end it much earlier. Bivol here was roughly around 184-185 lbs according to him. If they rematch at 168, that puts him a bit lighter but still shouldnt take away from his usual performance, if anything he would be much more agile, more speed and quicker darting in and out throwing his combos.

@@deanthiessen7306 I know, but IF canelo WANTED to pursue his rematch lol(and there aint no way he’s ever going to win) whether at 175 or 168 for all his belts on the line, I do not see canelo winning. And my post theorized that, Bivol wasn’t fighting at his usual tempo nor full potential for a reason. That if in fact a rematch were to happen, then it’ll throw canelo off if he were to see a completely different version of Bivol, should Bivol actually engage in full throttle, to which I firmly believe he will. Any other followers of Bivol can easily spot that he really was not fighting at all at his usual pace. But even at that, managed to outbox and clean canelo off rather easily. Was practically in 6th gear all night with some alight downshifts to 4th-5th, but never in first.

@@rikimaru470 what challenge? He weight drains bigger opponents and moved away from talented middleweight division . Super middle weight has always been a bum division. Refer to boxing history . He believed in his pound for pound hype and over reached. Wonder if he still wants Usyk. His over emphasis on strength training comes at the expense of stamina. You wade through his onslaught and he becomes immobile target in later rounds.

Todo el mundo sabe que Canelo tiene un juego de piernas deficiente. En general en las Américas el juego de piernas se ha ido deteriorando mucho... Parece como si los entrenadores ya no quisieran enseñarlo como en las décadas de los 70 y 80. Y es una pena, porque luego llegan los rusos y los ucranianos y hacen lo que quieren, dejando quedar a muchos mexicanos y americanos como niños perdidos en la niebla. Falta entrenamiento, falta know how, y se nota.

La vi en vivo con un amigo, no podiamos creer como lo paseó vibol a canelo, porque asi se vio en vivo, lo mantuvo siempre a distancia y conecto muy bien siempre, es mas, no se lo notaba muy cansado tampoco

para mi el mejor Semipesado del momento

I am a fan of both of these boxers. Perhaps Canelo has a bit od adjusting/learning to do to find a place in a new division. Bivol is something else entirely. I can't say I know much about boxing, but this ad seems to be a phenom. You just don't see such classical form every day.
