Thanks for the recommendation Jeff. Been listening via Audible (the internet has ruined my ability to read) and can recommend the audiobook. One bloke doing all the voices blows mind and his Kruppe voice always makes me smile. Unlike my wife who has to put up with my poor imitation. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

I finally got back into Dungeon Run after a 3ish year break (still on the pre-pandemic episode 37) and scrolled to Jeff's KZread page to see if I missed any uploads, literally yesterday. I was disappointed to see no updates in years only to wake up this morning and get pleasantly surprised by this. Love you, Jeff!

Love that you both are doing this! I’ve been looking for an incentive to read this series for a long time. Listening to you both discuss and walkthrough it at the same pace will make it so much more enjoyable. I know I’m behind, so apologies if you’re already doing this, but maybe going through each “book” by laying out each point of view characters entire plot for that “book” may help focus things a bit. I know you guys are just doing this for fun so I understand if that may require more work and note taking than you’re interested in. I’ll be watching either way!

I took a break before Toll of the Hounds. I forgot soo much! I remember being confused so often, even trying to remember how the later events connect to what you two are describing is boiling my brain. It's great you two are keeping up with everything, perhaps I read too quickly :/. Such a wild series, I'll have to join in, maybe early for some of my faves. Thanks for the recommendations and rekindling my need to finish these books.

As always the general guide is that it's like a jigsaw puzzle in world building the peices do not make sense to start but as they converge a picture starts to form. Regarding help there are 3 levels, firstly the malazan wiki has chapter summaries that are non spoilery, the malazan reddit is SUPER nice and will help you with any questions and finally there was a playlist by "Scifi and fantasy read along" that covered gardens of the moon and they deconstructed EACH chapter to great detail

I'm glad to see so many people enjoying Gardens. The complexity thing is overblown way out of proportion. Yes, he jumps from place to place to place without any preamble, but i assure before long you'll know exactly where Itko Kan is, what Kanese are like, you'll know Malaz City like the back of your hand. He set himself on a misson to mess with our preconecptions abiut fnatasy what puts a lot if people off i think, especially when they have no idea what an adjunct us, what is a Warren, whi the hell is Topper and so on. Any why, ngreat show, cant wait for u guys to get further in. Cheers.

Hi there! I am a recent Malazan convert, having read the main 10 series for the first AND second times last year 😃😃 Really great intro to you two, and to Gardens of the Moon! Awesome to see you both having so much fun, you’re in for a wild ride and I’m excited to be along for it! Couple small corrections (I’m ignoring pronunciation, this list could have been longer lol) - Crone is a great Raven, not a crow. And Sorry is being possessed by Cotillion specifically, and the wax witch Rigga is… involved. Won’t say more 😊

One might go far as to say lazy even. Heck, you could even pay an editor to just strip the best moments of your weekly shows into a "weekly roundup" of your opinions on games and movies.
