It's hard to say he is dedicated to contributing to sports when he is biased. I love all the big 3 in tennis, but on this channel, every time there is a video with Djokovic, it starts with "he destroyed Djokovic" or "he was toying with prime Djokovic." Man, your disrespect to Novak is quite distasteful. We get it you’re a “Fedal” fan (if somehow being a fan of both is possible), but it would be nice to see a little more objective content instead of poorly disguised fanboyism. Gloating over a clay victory (played 29% of the time) is just not it when you consider that Nadal is an absolutely humiliating 0-19 in sets against Djokovic on hard court over the past 11 years. Both are obviously legendary players, and I love the content overall. However I wish it was a little less biased

I agree that painting these broad strokes on Djokovic’s character bc racquet smashing is stupid but on the other hand this fixating over the rules are rules tone Nadal had in Australia is also ridiculous. He had no obligation to defend Novak and he did explicitly say he felt bad for what he went through in the detention center and regardless of his feelings on his vaccine stance, it was justice for his appeal to be successful in being released from the detention facility. He then said what other’s echoed too down the line that he was tired of talking about this and that one way or the other he wishes Djokovic the best and that with or without him it’ll be a great tournament (something he’s always been consistent about with himself as well, that the sport is always bigger than the player). Several of Djokovic’s colleagues said way worse and Murray basically said the exact same thing as him saying he felt bad for his ongoing situation but those were the consequences of his decision but he doesn’t get near the vitriol bc he wasn’t a threat to win at that pt. Nadal also didn’t shoot up his foot at that tournament too (never understood the commotion over that in the first place, nothing outside the rules and playing under anesthesia isn’t anything new he played that way during the 08 Wimbledon final too) that came at RG when he was willing to take that plunge for it to be his last tournament and turned out, it wasn’t that far off from that being the case bc he’s never been the same since 1 tournament after at Wimbledon. And lastly, tennis fans’ pick and choose approach to moral grandstanding about Saudi Arabia and the sport as a whole getting involved with them is so rich. This while not batting an eye as the US, who house like 1/3 of the tennis calendar simultaneously fund and aid in one of the most horrific genocides of our generation. Ultimately, it’s complicated. On the one side there’s the sports washing human rights angle which is legit. On the other is the view that things like Saudi investment in sport slowly break down the status quo and promote change and progress. I see both sides and feel conflicted but we’re not about to use that as a talking point to use as ammunition. Have a critique of saudi, call their govt out for their crimes, but don’t do it from a place of absolute denial of the fact that the west is THE blueprint for crimes against humanity that it has inflicted on the global south for hundreds of years.
