    Nice job on the video. Based on what I see I still like Litchi for several reasons already stated in other comments. I have a Mavic Pro and still find it does what I need for travel and general work. My Typhoon H Plus is my main bird for when I want the best footage and stills, but uses another way to plan flights and missions. Not as good as Litchi, but still pretty good.

    Neat new feature! Have been using the Litchi-app (for the MP) quite alot so it looks very familiar. It´s cool that this waypoint-system is in the DJI GO 4 app finally! Just got one problem with this, the "jerky" camera movement?? When for ex. sliding sideways and focusing on a fixed point. IMO it makes the whole shot unusable? Good tutorial video, nice planning and execution, thumbs up from Sweden!

    Yes, it's nice DJI finally added a much more powerful waypoint system like Litchi. It's still got issues and limitations, but hopefully they'll come out with an update. Is the jerky camera movement occurring at a waypoint? If so, substantially increase the Turning Radius at that waypoint. And thanks for your nice comment about my video! Happy flying in Sweden!

    PhillyDroneLife I tip my hat to you sir, you must have some mad skills. I dove straight into the autonomous stuff right away but I still fly stick as well. Although if it’s that silky smooth video you’re after it’s hard to beat software. I’m going to attempt an extreme Hyperlapse ( a 500 unit construction site) probability a 2 year project. In a case like that the flight path and actions (speed, gimbal etc.) would have to be “bullet” every time. Only software and satellites can do that. All the best, Larry

  • @mark_barrentine

    @mark_barrentine

    5 жыл бұрын

    I still prefer Litchi because I can do all of the planning and creation from my PC in a web browser which is infinitely better than the GO 4 app. Should the need arise the Litchi app allows you to create and save waypoints WITHOUT the drone running requirement in the GO 4 app thus saving your drone battery for actual flight time. Once the planning is done, I can then export the flight path into Google Earth to see if there are any issues with it. For example the first flight I planned I didn't put a waypoint on top of a small mountain and Google Earth showed the flight path going through the mountain and not over it, thus saving me a drone. Another advantage is the Litchi community. By this I mean you can create and share waypoints with others and likewise you can use waypoints from others as well. The DJI app has a ways to go (like the drone running requirement and no creation from your PC) before I'll switch.

    Kinda for the weaker pilots. I see comments about DJI to hopefully have a zoom feature. Listen, if you’re incapable of handling these very simple tasks I guess this is a great feature for you. Years ago you shot amazing footage because you managed to eventually hone your skills. Now, a 5 yr old can create cinematic footage. Which too is great. This is why we’re all moving away from DJI and onto the Alta 8 by freefly systems hauling a Red Cinema Camera. DJI took away the ability to learn. Par for the course today. Kids and adults alike don’t have to be intelligent. Or Skillful. You can be a total dope now. I’m disappointed, I fear for the future. Hey what’s 9 divided by 7? Hold on, let me get my calculator. Which we too years ago couldn’t use. Times are changing and the dumbing down of Americans is complete!! Mission accomplished

    Good tutorial on the basics. But why do you fail to discuss the totally un-cinematic jerky panning and the hiccup at each waypoint? The way it is now it is totally useless for even amateur cinematography.

    Interesting but I think you can get the mission done faster and more accurately simply by manually flying the drone yourself, this seems pointless to own a drone.

    To me it’s fun planning a mission and getting the desired footage, but it can be a trial and error process. Sometimes I do a combination of manual and planned flights to get the footage I want.
