Thank you, Jeff. As a drone pilot and photographer, this is probably the best option I've seen for the back of my SUV. I love the fast charging for my DJI drones and 140W PD ports for laptops, etc. I was planning to pick up a Delta product this year, but you've thrown a major hitch in my plans. The only thing I wish they'd done differently is add one or two more AC receptacles on the 1000 model. I still need something to power some home devices during our frequent summer storms and more AC receptacles beats more extension cords or a power strip.

I think the openings on the side are more functional for carrying the unit by the built in handles. Good idea.

I'm watching some of your videos to see how I can improve my channel and get as popular as you. Great job with the video! Opening the unit to see inside, was a great idea.

Love your content, and a great review. I recently became homeless, but I'm still working full time. California is a wild place. So I'm living in my 1999 suburban outside of my job. I need ideas for a small solar battery bank and fridge to keep my insulin cold. Once I sell my old SnapOn tool box I will have enough money for it. I'm lost in a sea of choices and not sure what to get.

I was going to suggest sending one to WhistlinDiesel so he could do some helicopter drop testing, but instead, how many Mavic Pros do you have to hook one of these to on order to lift it to 400 feet so you can do a drop test yourself?

Why didn't you test the device to see how many HOURS it actually runs for? You've tested other devices to see how many saws, vacs, and ray guns they could power simultaneously but this time you only hook up one itty-bitty sander?? Why not pull it apart enough to ID the cells?

I wish we could see some light to mild physical destructive testing. As well as trying to run it to extreme use cases. Just thinking out loud. You do great with the channel. Im not complaining. Keep us posted when the Craftsman batteries go on sale again (hopefully)!

I hadn't caught that. Thank you. I'd also love the barrel connector. 12V seems the easiest/cheapest capability to include. Shame.

I believe dji make the absolute best production drones. I have had a few and loved them.. i think the only way you may get better is to have one custom built at 10s of $1000s

As long as these aren't like their drone batteries... If you skip charging their drone batters longer than 3 months they permanently die. Ask me how I know.

Proprietary solar port, non integrated mppt, not enough ac outlets, no 12v DC outlet, proprietary cable to charge with car. They came this late to the game and still messed it up.

I think the problem you’re seeing here is that you’re comparing it against products that are made for every day use while this is purpose built for a specific market

I've seen at least two standards on the stations I've had already. Seems like a tiny obstacle to use an adapter. I already have to do that with my Ecoflow. And it includes the car charger. All the ones I've used are proprietary to that manufacturer. This honestly seems like a great unit minus the lack of 12V out.

  • @Josue928

@markkempton4579 The 4 big names in power stations use standard connectors. Ecoflow flow uses a xt60i, Bluetti use a dc7909, Anker uses a xt60 and Jacker use a dc8mm. All non proprietary, all connecting to mc4 solar connections. DJI uses a sdc( proprietary) to external mppt, unless you only run 1 panel that still uses a special cable.

Meh still sticking with my inverter generators. And not to hate on DJI it's their first attempt but I feel Anker or Bluetti may be better for the "power station" category. To each their own though. I used to think NOCO jump starters were junk but based on their new GBX line they are phenomenal. Totally changed my opinion maybe DJI can grow to be better as well. Nobody is perfect their first go round. Not a bad looking unit but price point is a big issue in my opinion. But I'm a broke man from VA 😂. Thanks Bear for the review ! Love your channel!

I'm not sure I agree. The price point seems in line with the Anker Solix C1000. (Both retail for $1000.) The Anker has more AC receptacles, but the JDI has much better USB-A (PD) output: 2x140 vs 100/30 on Anker. I'd take the PD capacity over ports. Where do you feel the Anker is superior? I'm shopping for something in the 1000Wh range, so trying to understand my options. (Bluetti seems like more hype than delivery, at least in the past, so I never looked much into them after my initial search.)
