Well but tho be honest, I do think the RSC 2 is better choice if you buy the combo. Check it out on the web, the new RS3 doesnt include the reveneye or the phone holder or anything like that. Everything must be bought separetely so at the end you are spending 900+.......so I think I am going to keep my RSC2

Interesting seeing Zhiyun and DJI launching new gimbals at the exact same time and seeing all of the most amazing creators battle it out! Parker Walbeck, Bestboy Adam, MikeVisuals, James Matthews, Nabil, Taylor Cut Films all releasing videos at the same time! What a day to be alive haha

The market has changed. They have release date, but they send it out to everyone before. But still just on the launching day they are allowed to publish the video. That's why everyone put it on KZread on the same time. This is a "new" strategy since the past 1-3 years

So this is the one I want but the 30m range on wireless control sells it for me in the WeeBill. The 20m range on raven eye is just no where close for me to make that decision.

The gear is awesome and a great video again Parker! I've seen a number of vids on the RS3 Pro and none of them (including yours) mentioned that DJI have swapped the Record and Mode buttons around. This for me and I guess, for many others too (otherwise they wouldn't have done it), means that you no longer press the wrong button just as you are about to start recording!! If for nothing else will be the reason why I'll be upgrading from my RS2...Merry Xmas!!

After 1 return, then the second being unable to be fixed (battery issue) I was asked to return the second one and get my money back. Crane 3S is horrible! At least from my experience. Outdated, Zhiyun doesn't care about the customers who use it and probably no firmware updates for cameras such as the R5C.

@@pr1sm55 Never returned my Crane3s but I keep having an issue with the xaxis arm where it doesn’t want to rotate and is constantly the one that comes out of balance. Thinking imma sell it and get an RS2/3 instead. I do want to get the float as well.

I like the lighting in this video. It looks professionally done.

I’ve watched 3 of these videos from other creators and your by far is the best lol

Very excited with this release. I can finally go and buy myself the Ronin S.

Great review as always, Parker! Kinda feel stupid now for buying RS2 recently. Plus DJI still don't support the FX6 which is my main workhorse.

All new features aside, did you notice anything at all about the stability improvements? I wont be using Lidar, the transmission systems etc and wondering if the new algortihm in itself is worth upgrading from the RS2.

10:14 Aw man, using the LiDAR focus unit and focusing through the monitor was one of the main things I was looking forward to. It's such a useful feature on the Ronin 4D to be able to see the focus "waveform."

Dear Adam, thanks for all the effort you put in your videos, I enjoy watching all of them. I've recently bought the same setup, BMPPC 6K Pro, RS3 Pro, Pictor Zoom, Tilta cage. As far as I can see, you're using only one 220gr counterweight, I am struggling to balance the whole thing as the zoom lens make the rig super front heavy. Could you explain how you manage to make it work, or possibly make a video about it? Kind regards, Rich.

This is the type of gimbal that people like you need. However, everyone does get really eager to buy the latest gear!!

Good price point for DJI. Another alternative that I don't think was mentioned is the Zhiyun Crane 3s. I've put a Red Raven one of those and it worked really well.

I always come to Parker’s page before I buy anything. 😁

While I do love my dji ronin, sadly its hard to know whether its worth upgrading when I saw many reviews done by channels like this one praising it with little negativity, only to find out that using focal lengths longer than 50 will require the camera having ibis; otherwise you get microjitters galore. Sadly not one review I saw mentioned this problem.

How do you get your camera to get the surfaces to look so smooth? Like even your skin looks mad smooth. Is that the camera or a filter or is that just how smooth y'all are set up?

Feel like we're doing everything to set this up properly with the RS3 + Komodo. Is there an issue using an EF lens with the RF-to-EF adaptor? Looks like the focusing is working on the RS3, the lens calibrated, however the 18-35 sigma lens we have set to 24mm isn't focusing on the RED app. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Honest review, in my opinion.

I still have a Ronin 1, but am scared ill lose my batteries eventually. Any considerations coming from that unit? Plus I love the ring this unit comes with.

Thanks for the great video summing everything up!! I feel that the RS3 is a nice middle ground between the older RS2 and RSC2. The RS3 also has way more features than the RSC2 and now that it detaches from the battery grip (unlike the RSC2) it can be used with some of Tilta's new accessories. For run and gun wedding videos with my a7siii, the RS3 is going to be an amazing additon and it's very affordable.

Hey M, How is that setup with the RS3 meanwhile? Are you still happy with it?

Ring Rig from Tilta Pro have Controller build in that allow you to control the focus pull

Cant seem to find any answer on this, when you put the gimbal into sleep mode and it goes into the locking position, is it supposed to lock in line with the rear arm (pan tilt) or lock a little offcenter about 10-15 degrees degrees it seems

How did you adjust the focus ring to actually work correctly? I know you can change the mode in a canon but you can’t in RED.

So a7s3 with the kinda heavy 24-70 lens might be a problem for RS3?

Do you have any thoughts or more info on portrait mode? I'm having a lot of trouble finding any sort of detailed info or reviews on that mode! Thanks!

Did they fix the pan drift? RS2 still has drift issues that after several balances and the auto balances it stil pan drifts even after firmware update. What about the joystick calibration? This error message shows up on the RS2 and there is no function in app or in gimbal to calibrate joystick.

Are you finally able to lock the pan axis so you can turn the camera without it auto panning??

Hey Parker, thx so much for this video. Quick question, I have a Raptor as well and I wonder if you can switch to the briefcase mode with the deported battery ? Or does the SDI cable hits the Ronin ? Many thanks in advance ! Keep up the good work !

Great video. At 2:07 you talk about the auto lock being able to be locked so the camera is facing forward and not down. Where is the setting for that? Thanks!

Do you still use glidecam? Does glidecam with vest make sense for heavy cameras against Ronin RS3 Pro?

Can the Ronin RS3 support active track if you have the raven eye and use your phone as a monitor. It looks like the pro only has the active track feature on the 1.8 touch screen but can you access that feature within the DJI app using raven eye?

How many lenses can it map for autofocus? The RS2 can map 3 lenses at a time, I would love for this to be able to do 6+ so I could map a whole lens set

Does the Tilta wireless remote handle still work?

Is the C70 footage for the A-roll? And is it an RF lens or sigma?

It is curious why no one actually uses camcorders on these rigs. There are way too many advantages to them to not be seen anywhere in this space. I have made a killing off of Canon Vixia G50s. Do they not work for these type of accessories?

So active track on the RS3 can only be used when in the app on your phone using the transmitter?

I find it interesting that both DJI and Zhiyun launched Gimbals on very middle of the middle month of the year. Something fitting about being perfectly balanced at the midpoint I guess 🤔⚖️

Could the Crane 3s not fly the Red VRaptor? I've seen it carry larger payloads and that's a one hand gimbal.

After initial reviews I am convinced that RS3 Pro does not offer much more than RS2. The most interesting part for me was bluetooth control of the camera, but everything else... meh, not worth upgrading at all.

Stop being me! Stop buying gadgets! Get familiar with the stuff, what you already have and don't believe, that you can replace Hollywood, just because you spent ALL your earnings on the next gear. And pre-ordered an other one. Anyways: what the hack? Why you need Zhiyun, when you get soon the RS3 Pro? WTF? What's there? I mean, you don't need, but why you think, you do?

Ronin s with a canon 1 dx iii and its perfect. Add a 3rd party Z axis mechanical spring stabiliser - and i dont need to ninja walk or upgrade for a while.

Yall think a fx6 would fit on the rs3? I managed to balance mine on the rsc2 without any problems

You mentioned a larger set up was sent to you by DJI, is it a new version of the Gimbal coming out soon?
