This saved me so much time. Thank you, I was doing a roof inspection yesterday & realized I forgot my sd card @ home in my surface pro. I was worried how I was going to get my pictures off the drone and into the report. FYI an SD card is still the easiest way.

That's how I transfered mine to my iPad 9th generation and now you have a video of it makes it easier for beginners

Gavin, GREAT visual explanation. I use this quite often with my Classic. If you tap the check mark in the upper right, you can choose multiple items from the album and download them all at once. MERRY CHRISTMAS and a very Happy New Year!

Great video Gavin.I use this function on M2 which is great, is it max quality done in this way or is it better to extract data off memory card via otg card reader? I know its out of topic but I currently own a mini 2 which I love, but maybe a mini 3 pro in the future but can you assist on this, I recently had a trip overseas and wanted to know if there was anyway you can upload a 360 picture to Google maps. You used to be able to do it via street view but can't anymore. Any walk round with this, I am android user. Cheers in advance and Merry Christamas to you and yours.

What’s the resolution of the pics and video you download this way? Is it the same as if I’m flying with my mobile device? Does it give an option for higher res video or pics this way?

Greetings from Terceira Island in the Azores! I'm a little concerned about the DJI Mini's tendency to overheat when transferring big files with the drone switched on. Could we use a cable to connect both devices while keeping the drone off (just the cable plugged in), similar to how I transfer files from the drone to my PC?

Hi there! So in the settings you will see there is an option called USB mode, this is designed to be used when using USB cables for transferring files and indeed limits the overheating issue on these devices. Of course you can do the same, just plug one end into the drone, other end into the pc and when you switch your drone on your pc should detect it as an external storage device for you to drag the photos and videos over. Hope this helps

What if you wanna take some video of the screen of the controller that you recorded? How do you transfer that to your cell phone?

You have to search it on google directly, unfortunately its not available on the play store

Hi, i read the transfer mode was disabled on the RCN. Can i still use this method on the mini 3 and is it in 4K. Thank you

Belated Merry Christmas Gavin & Happy New Year! BTW I bit the bullet and updated the firmware, etc. on my new M4P and, thankfully, the height option is still 500 meters. I plan to video some gorgeous mountainous areas of Thailand in the coming year so I won't be saddled with 120 meters from the Home Point when trying to reach the top of a hilly area. 😁

it depends, my usual update videos or general info videos I use filmora however for a more "professional" video I want to create I use Final cut pro :)

good information - I moved it to my mobile via a USB-C cable - and it works easily and quickly

Hope you can help - I follow the quick transfer directions, the album comes up, but the images don’t. The data of each of the images is there, but no image. I’ve had to go the long way by downloading the sd card on the computer. Thanks

Gavin, as a new mini 4 and RC2 owner, I'm not sure why the controller has a microsd card slot. If photos and videos exist on the Drone and are then transfered to your phone as described in this video, what function does the sd card in the controller serve?

I dont think so, The drone has the SD card not the Controller. You technically dont need the controller. You can connect your phone and the drone and transfer using quick connect.

At least on my mini 3, tapping the drones power button 3x times puts it into Quicktrasfer/pairing mode.

Can you share the screen of the RC2 with android phone/tablet ?

I can see the download button in the lower right corner but it’s greyed out and doesn’t do anything?

I just purchased the Mini 4 pro RC 2 first flight today, do you know why my sd card shows nothing recorded when trying to transfer to iPad , files show on pc, seems pointless using a sd card if you can’t get files off it, any help appreciated, regards

Trouble is… I can’t win. If I speak slower and go into more detail I get complaints, if I make it snappy and to the point I get the same comments it’s difficult to find an in between

nice video..i just got air3 but honestly i cant understand that how my vids/pics save in memory card (captured data always save in drone memory) even i insert memory card in RC2 but my vids/pics didn't save in card who are too much painfully for me cause i rcvd MEMORY FULL WARNING

No, I have tried to download several times but nothing. I had a mini pro 3 and did the same thing. The drone got dropped in the salt water so bought the mini 4 pro and still the same problem with the file transfer. I have deleted the app and reinstalled but the same thing happens! very frustrating. Is there a DJI help line at all? i am in Australia. Thanks for your reply.

Hi, i just went online with DJI support and i needed to disable the mobile data and only have bluetooth and wifi connected. It works now!

Yes just turn it on :) I would of course just allow the props to spin when first turned on that’s why it’s unfolded :)

everybody explain at youtube abt quick transfer tutorial but nobody explained abt these 2 folders

I do this with my Air 3, and it was fast transfer for a few weeks, now it constantly says high interference area and transfers slow, like 1 to 2.5 mb/sec instead of over 30 like it used to. Any thoughts on this? I'm home when I transfer files as I did before.

It says press and hold but all u need to do is hold down the button for 2 seconds DONT PRESS AND HOLD only HOLD THE BUTTON FOR 2 SECONDS

It’s not working for me :( The phone connects to the air 3 but when I click on view album I see how many videos there are but all black and I can’t play or download them someone help 😅me

.pls look at video time 1.25 There are 2 folders at top 1- DJI MINI 4 PRO 2- SAVED why 2 folders

Is it not just as easy to take the SDS card out transfer it into your phone. That's what I always do. It's just as quick and easy👍

Screen recordings are a pain in the rear end, you can get them to work via Bluetooth on an android phone but iPhone it won’t so the SD option is needed.

i tried to download the app but it is not working, i don't think it is available anymore, i have an android phone. can anyone advice me on how to download the app to my phone? i am a USA user. thanks!

Hmm.. I normally take the SD card out place into adapter download to my iPhone that for mini 3 pro .. but with the mini 4 pro … well it doesn’t ???? Some reason it go the internal storage even thro you set it up to SD card … my first few videos on the mini 4 pro take the sd card out place into adapter.. THERE NOTHING ON THERE .. So why go internal storage.. when you set it up to go onto my Mini SD Card !!! This is only for the mini 4 pro only ..

Format your SD card whilst it’s in the drone then it should offer it as a storage device. Let me know how you get on

I have the Air 3 and it does the same thing, I can’t get to connect to the app either, even tried the wife’s phone (much later OS) still doesn’t work, everything has been started SO many times that it’s clear that isn’t the solution 😭 doesn’t matter if the remote on or off either, it just won’t work…

Well if you have android beta then dji fly app will crash instantly and it's useless, even light cut crashing...

Transfers to Pc would have been interesting. Maybe later.....

I could make that if needed, however that is very simple, take the card out the drone and pop it in the pc / card reader or just USB into your pc and the pc will recognise it as a storage device and you can drag and drop the files over :)

@@GAVINHR That's what I'm doing so far. For the Mavic 3 Pro it calls for wrestling with the cover each time. I thought about a wireless move/copy of the recordings.

This is absolutely not working for me. I have a Mini 3 and RC. I follow your steps for direct to phone and it does not find by drone. Drone is powered up, I open the Fly app on my iPhone and touch Quick Transfer…. It just sits and spins never finding my mini 3. What am I doing wrong?

@@GAVINHRturns out with the Mini 3 you have to press the drones power button 3x to enter the quick transfer mode. Much like Dorthy when she wanted to go home.

This doesn’t work with the DJI Air 2S.,
