You're totally right, and here's the crazy thing. My buddy just got half his hand blown off from one of those barbecue lighters. He's been so jealous of me getting into FPV. He's going to be freaking stoked when I tell him. For the record I don't want this thing. Nothing about it appeals to me.

Do you think its possible for betaflight to come up with an "oh shit" button? If the quad has gps would there be a way to get it to freeze in place with a switch?

a lot of people trying to pretend traditional FPV is still for the ‘real’ enthusiasts, DJI is leading the game here, they pave the way.

Of course they're leading the game in the drone world, they're a billion dollar company, but to discount the years and years of open source tinkering that led us to this point is also "pretending".

hahaha. who else in the first 4 minutes was yelling "tilt the damn controller"? great vid and thanks for the content.

Being able to control it with two of those and mimicking the sticks movement to rip it in accro mode would be an even greater immersive experience 😁

Tremors - anyone who’s hands shake and struggle with regular controllers, this is a wonderful alternative. Many older rc enthusiasts have the shaky hand problem and its next to impossible to fly confidently any more. We bought this and now trying to figure out how to use it for our other quads and airplanes. Truly fantastic.

They really missed out on putting a head tracker into the V2 goggles.

@@snviper No not head track gimbal. Head track flying. One trigger for the power and otherwise just look where you want to go. The camera gimbal is only up down

Hi NURK I am not sure if I like this or not. Ever since I was flying fixed wing I was using a single stick radio because of Cerebral palsy and when I was younger I moved to a normal radio but now I'm using the Xlite. So would this be good for me ? I just don't know. Thanks for the video and info on the handheld unit.

Probably not a drone for me but l reckon DJI has done an amazing job, despite all the hate in forums. I love my Mavic Air 2 for taking amazing video, photos and time-lapse. But of course proper FPV quads for ripping and being able to repair are 🔥

Get videos! Keep up the great content! New to the channel and am enjoying the footage. Is the DJI FPV better than the Phantom 4 pro plus? I'm stuck on which one to get. Mainly for filming.

Just watched Ken H video on it and after a light tap on the bottom, the battery quit working. I can see what DJI is going for, but they need to put out a Version 2 quickly. If they would take input from veterns of FPV and make a V2, I think they would kill it.

Can this be flown without the goggles? Let’s say my goggle battery drains or I get typical DJI bugs that freeze the goggles or blacks out the screen or goggles just malfunctions for some reason

How do you make it fly backwards?

There are different types of plastics. The FPV is PA6 glass fiber reinforced, which is what's used in high quality power tools. power tools .

How are you able to monitor FPV HUD in Fly app?

The glasses v1 already abandoned them and DJI will not update them anymore?

I liked Livyu FPV’s approach on this drone. He pulled a Doc Brown and took it apart, just to get the idea of the inner workings on it. It was quite interesting, but everyone has their take on it but like most have been saying (it’s the gateway drone). It basically flies by itself but most importantly gives everyone a glimpse of what FPV’s about. I’d be interested in it just to get good camera footage, but I’ll stick to my carbon fiber beasts instead. For now.

Can we use this Motion Controller on another drone? e.g. BetaX95 V3? My intent is for indoor real estate videos

How far out did you have to go out to be able to fly it?

I wonder if you can take it apart an use that 4K gimbal and single handed controller on a 7”…

I would love to see TBS or other radio manufacturers to make one I can use on my regular quad

If implimented right and more updates, this could change the game for any future rc controllers. I could see this as more intuitive. Next rolls!

I'm in the beginning of this video so I don't know if he discovers this yet but there's a setting that you press the button to reset the direction. Like so you don't have to spend your body around to turn it

Is the controller left hand friendly?

How far can it fly? There's no review testing the range.. yet?

How did you screen record?

Durability testing is seeing if it's in one piece after a few decent crashes..... now to watch your video!

Now an interesting idea in the VR department would be to find some way to mount the controller to the goggles, and find a way to actuate the throttle differently. I look forward to what some of the Modders will accomplish with this setup.

can I use it for M mode?

Could you see this type of technology with some improvements being a viable primary way to pilot a FPV drone in the future?

They should make the goggles control the gimbal so doing the stevie wonder would actually do something lol.

That's pretty cool. I think I'd fall over trying that. How about a swivel chair? 😂The dji fpv drone looks like a very good beginner kit for people who can afford it. I do think once someone is ready to try full acro mode, flippy flops bando flying they should move over to a carbon fiber kwad. The dji does a lot of cool things, survive crashes isn't one of them. Happy flying. 🤓

What my goggles tell me and what the screen says are different things, I've been told. I think some of the telemetry doesn't quite work with the mobile app yet.
