Great video as usual. Please keep them coming.
So awesome & thoroughly done! When I get the goggles, I feel I'll know exactly how to use them already.

Tyga Chin Nah, I see your ad/link on every DJI goggle video. I'll buy elsewhere cuz I think it's annoying how you keep copy a d pasting on every thread....l8a g8a!!!
This is the first time I see what the goggles view looks like. I really like the smooth mode even though its only 1080P 60fps but the goggles image is so smooth that I don't mind that at all. Salute to you for doing this and share it with us. I am anxiously waiting for mine to arrive sometime at the end of the month.

thank you Daniel :)
I ordered a mavic air fly more combo with dji goggles. I cannot wait for the stuff to show up!!!! Also awesome vids, I have learned so much!
I enjoyed the video. I'm looking forward to seeing how it works! I'm really anticipating wonderful results.
This video definitely convinced me now to get the goggles... Brilliant Video....😉😎
That was a really cool video. Just got myself a set, can't wait to use them. (Charging now) Keep up the great work! Cheers from Australia 🍻
Very, very good & very interesting video Alex! I will definately have to get some of those!! 😁
Wonderful video, but would've loved it in 4K to see the difference better. Thanks for the great work!
love it man thank u
keep making helpful videos - looking forward to using my goggles with my mavic

thx for watching :)
thanks been trying to find out how to set camera settings on the drone though fpv very helpful
Nice video! I will definitely buy them! Nice work Chivow??? and Alex!
Good review. I liked the 1080P60 mode when using the head controlled gimbal much better .. much smoother and realistic. Thanks for the demo .. Cheers.

Awesome
Always love your review an videos.
nice drone i like this video.
Nice!
Thanks for the video. I will most likely not use the head tracking when just flying around as long as the field of view is large. I can also tilt the camera down if needed. I find that I look around on the screen just like it is a windshield. With head tracking its like my windshield is moving around which doesn't feel normal to me. I will try it out for sure though, mine are on the way!
That Video helps me alot
Thanks mate,,, great video! Are these goggles digital or analog,, and what mode would you choose for fpv racing drone,,, would you choose these or the dji fpv new goggles?
Would be really cool if the gimbal control through the goggles could be software stabilized in the 1080p mode. This would get rid of the jerky gimbal shake and make the video way more usable. Great job!
The problem is youtube compresses things so much it hard to see! My pair comes in tomorrow so looking forward to the experience
Great Video, Just curious, where that video took place?
Enjoyed your vid very much, as I am considering these as my next accessory purchase. Question: Will you make a vid using these goggles with a P4P?
@WeTalkUAV

Thanks Tom! Yes for sure, we are planning lots of vids with the goggles, but first we'll post a comparison with the fatsharks :)
Can you watch a stored flight on the goggles? Great job. Thanks.
would it be possible for you to do a how to: video on using 2 sets of googles from setting up to Pairing ? and the different ways you and a friend can use them ?
I'm thinking about changing one of my KZread channels to a drone/tech review channel. I just wanted to ask if you have any tips or advice on how you got started? I think you've done such a great job so far and I know you started fairly recently.

just do what you love :)
Which would you prefer if you had to choose, smart controller or goggles?
now the wait is even more painfull :-)
I laughed when I saw you sitting! I got my goggles yesterday and on my first flight I almost fell over---it was a strange sensation! Felt like sitting is the way to use these!! Question--can you focus the print on the goggles or is it set
Thank you for that good review. One question is not clear to me. Do you get the same live view on the goggles and the iphone connected with the rc? So is it possible that one person flies the mavic with rc and the live-view as usual an a second person can partipate the flight by wearing the goggles?
I crashed my Mavic Pro because I didn’t realise my head movements was flying the drone as I thought I was only moving the gimble as for Ariel shots but my drone flew in the the trees as I believe no avoidance works on the goggles in smooth mode is that right?
Thx so much for the video. I can't wait to receive my goggles. I was lucky enough to get in on the first orders. Yea! I would like to also see footage from the goggles on the P4P. TO SEE if the same applies. THX MICHAEL

I thought that because your connected by the cable that there would be less lag not more? direct connection seems more stable then a Wi-Fi/occusync? but that's again I don't know SHIT. Lol. MICHAEL
@alexassenmacher

DiciurcioCabinets MDiciurcio ocusync actually is from the goggles directly to the mavic. With a cable you are connecting the goggles to the controller = at least same lag. Btw you gave us a good idea for next video! Thx!

Alex Assenmacher Drone just subbed look forward to your videos. Thx MICHAEL
You loved the quality flying Pro 1. Have you tried flying the Pro2 with the goggles?
What I took from this is, Flying for fun = Goggles, flying for footage = Controller. Decent
So are you saying that the goggles change the final video output? or display output is different that you are recording to SD card?
Nice location? Where is it. good revieuw also 👍🏻
what about eye vision problem can you use it with glasses or do they have goggle lens adjusted ?.
Nice, I really enjoy your videos, I also learn a lot. I would like to know if it is possible, that platform where the goggles are, where can I get it? I want to start a food photography channel and it would be very useful, thanks in advance.

Hi Carlos, do you mean the white table? It's a so called turning table, you can find them anywhere online :) they're in different sizes and prices! Hope it helps! And thanks for watching
Can you confirm if you need a phone/tablet connected to use the goggles? If not, do you still have all of the available advanced flight modes etc...available via the goggles?
Will these goggles work with the new mavic2 pro?
I have a question. when you're recording does the footage record to the goggles and the mavic at the same time ??????
During you real world testing, what time did you have from fully charged to low battery?
Can we see the video feed at the same time from smartphone dan DJI Google? Thank you
Can you change the smooth mode down to 30 fps? I dont think the mavic can handle 60fps on any resolution very well...I wish you could do this test at 30fps..
Hey how do you toggle between HD, smooth etc modes?
I am coming to you as the expert in all things Goggles. I have a pair hooked up to my P4P with the micro usb cable (through the HDMI Module). Everything works fine, but I can't seem to get a high video quality in my Goggles. I've tried the HD setting. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? I seem to have a good video signal strength. It's just kinda pixelated...

Did you find anything on this?
Maybe I missed it, but if the goggles setting is in 1080p/60, which makes it much smoother, does that change the video setting of 4k on the drone SD card to 1080p?
Just what do you think the proximity sensor is for?
It's not clear to me, is the flight imagery shown the actual goggles output (recorded with another camera) or is it just footage out of the Mavic? Thanks.
Great information glad to see someone is on the ball

Hi. What limitations does this goggles has to mavic air? Is the new sport edition better for mavic air?
What about the FAA rule about "line of site"? Can you really comply with these goggles on?
Any idea how the quality compares to the RE?
So I am running a normal Phantom 4, and a DJI S900, A2, Lightbridge 2, GH4 Gimbal/Camera, etc. If I purchase these, do I really have to run an HDMI cable from the LB2/P4 (With HDMI module) controller to the Goggles? Did DJI really make these not lightbridge compatible?
do the googles work with DJI Air. Thanks
What is the head size limits on the goggles? I have watched most all videos and no one covers the adjustment limits, I wear a big hat and want to know before purchasing. Thanks WH
where u are come from?
I ordered DJI Goggles on DJI website and I have confirmation of order but as of May 15, 2017 it still has not been shipped. How long have you guys on here experienced before they ship them or average time?
What about PAL (Europe) 50fps? Is it still possible to record at 1080p50 with the googles in smooth mode?
have you myst in goggle during fly?
Video footage using the goggles to control the gimbal is definitely not as smooth as it can be using the controller. Seemed jumpy. For cinematic purposes, you certainly are still going to want to use the controller.

Agreed. The shakiness looks awful. I don't get why they make goggles for drones unless it enhances your ability to control the gimbal better than the controller. Unless you can adjust panning control in the settings, giving you a smoother effect, it's just a huge waste of money. I'm going to stick with the controller. At least with the controller you can adjust the yaw.

I use the goggles @ 4k all of the time, using the head tracking for the gimbal. I have no issues with latency at all but then again, when I pan with my head I do it reasonably slowly.
@vracan

the point of having goggles is to feel flight immersion like a pilot , and to best frame shots since you are looking at what seems like huge widescreen and NO sun glare. Thats good enough for me!
Do.you get motion sickness like the vr headsets on Samsung?
Did you had the occasion to test some other goggles? Because for now, I'm not really interessted by the headtracking/commanding through the goggle, I'm more interessted on the quality difference between this on some fatshark by example?
Can you adjust the gimbal sensitivity for the goggles to slow it down like you can for the controller?
@MrLittleman777

Niles Timm . Yes you can.
The delay on head-tracking looked awful! You said it was a bit slow but come on.........I would love to see a genuine honest opinion on this .....
@spybaz

(now) the head tracking with the goggles @ 4k is smooth as long as you don't pan crazy fast.
Do you need a phone whilst using the goggles? thanks.
confused. For me would be great if you differentiate between 1) what mode in order to film clips to prepare a work for a client with the best quality delivered and using the goggles to see what is being recorded let say during a waypoints mission and 2) flying just for fun in order to experiment the immersive view.
@xaviguirola

Roberto Ruiz 1) use Keep current Mode in 4k without Gimbal tracking, then use the goggles in full screen just to focus and have a better view of what you are filming. 2) use smooth Mode or HD Mode w/ Gimbal tracking.

It’s tilt down
your yaw moving lol
Smooth mode is in 720/60p HD mode 1080/30p
@alexassenmacher

Tomáš Kasal it only changes the liveview on the goggles. On the mavic it changes both to 1080p60
Problem is you can’t playback 4K or even 2.7k only 1080 or 720
you never answer commercial video
hmmm looks like san diego
FIXED WIND MODE ?? how do goggles work ?
Why keep doing it with a Mavic? How about a Phantom 4 Pro or Inspire 2 ?!!
Where was that filmed? Monterrey, CA? Might be south of there.

(now) you need your phone to connect the drone to the DJI Go app but once connected you can remove the phone entirely from the set up and go ahead and fly without the phone using goggles only.

can you use it with the phantom 3? and if so how and what works what dosn't?
@WeTalkUAV
7 жыл бұрын
You can connect it via HDMI but no features will be available, you will just see the live view
Can you use Anything BUT the proprietary 2.4ghz for the video link with Any other Quad/Plane Setup eg what %95 of drone pilots use,as I expect the answer to be NO! Then I would suggest that we make a point obvious that using 2.4 ghz for video means that the great majority of us cannot use this goggle for our drone unless we change our flight transmitter as well OR rapid crash to come. Cheers from Jcinauz Fly Hard, Fly Heaps ,fly SAFE!
great video, but what the point, i still Watch youtube video at 480 p, i agree you wil have a cleaner down scaled vide on with 4 K or HD, but how many of us have a computer that can edit 4K video, an intenet connection with enough bandwith to support 4 K
funny like a kid
Professional pilots will hate head tracking
DJI make the best goggles in the world
0:50 You carry your mavic in some cake box?
Do they look clear wane your that height
test FPV 720P 60 FPS
Jello......
5:55
Did DJI provide you with the rotating turntable from 8:10?
but not usable on Phantom 3 :-(
@nfarc7542
6 жыл бұрын
Not really usable on the 4 either. You can use them with an HDMI cable I guess, the the P3S is out, but the Lightbridge controllers on the P3A/P3P, and P4 and up can have the $100 HDMI module added on like the Lightbridge 2 system. Wired, but it would work from what I gather.
Sorry dude, like your videos but this one add nothing. Try to show the internal image, we're looking for this kind of review, maybe difficult..
no range test no 720p 60fps test amator
imo...I would call any of that footage cinematic. very jerky, not smooth start/stop. yes, maybe an immersive experience but not particularly useful cinematic footage. I would invest in the goggles until they ramp down the settings.
