Yup, those birds in Iceland are pretty aggressive. Almost attacked my drone aswell but the Air 3 is just too big for them.

Appreciate you posting this but sorry you had this painful experience and the lost your drone. I'm heading to Iceland myself in September and I'm a little concerned about the same issue. I'm considering trying some of the tips I've seen others recommend such as applying red reflective tape to the drone. Hopefully that will help! Cheers.

My 4 pro also suffered an attempted attack by seagulls. But I had time to land unharmed! Cheers to everyone 😊

sub 250 gm drones are not scary i guess. Never faced such issue with my mavic air 2 or Avata 2

Put some reflective red tape on your next drone. When you noticed it coming in, fly straight up vertically at high speed. Hopefully it'll intimidate the bird as it thinks you're coming from above to attack.

Yeah I am afraid so, the gimbal broke off completely and the top does not fit anymore.

'happens all the time. ive lost count of the number of times my RC aircraft have been attacked. had a $2000 mig15 get taken out by an eagle once, into a river never to be seen again.

Ah yeah, I luckily found the drone so I did not lose the shots I had already made!

Nver had my drone attacked by a bird before, now own the Mini 4 pro and happens, wonder if there is somethign from it that emits a sound etc they dont like?

Yeah I never had it with my mini 1 but now it happened 3 times in Iceland. Never had it before though.

birds are territorial. magpies love rc planes/drones/helicopters. they tend to give the helis room though.

Been flying Mavic 2 Pro, Mini 1-2-3, Mavic 3 for years, Birds started attacking my drones seriously for this 1 month time. They didn't attacked like this before. Maybe some special time of the year?

drones,are bad news for birds when nesting lots of reports of disturbance😩
