Seems like you did a test of the horizon level using the gopro hero 9 with max lens mod, but the footage was not included. I am hoping to see a comparison of their field of views, as it seems like DJI Action is always wider compared to gopro hero 10

Great review Aldryn! DJI Basically picked up a Insta360 go 2 and a ONE R and made a Frankenstein missing some key features (2 years later)... I will not buy

I wish they kept the traditional action cam form factor (Action 1/gopro), and maybe have this as an additional version. Unless you want to wear it with the lanyard or put it on an fpv drone, you don't need the camera module alone, and for everything else the bigger body with replaceable lenses and batteries, multiple buttons and a better grip would be more beneficial.

@@3xdimon I'm just excited for a very light weight camera better quality than go2. And able to add sdcard. I like it for invertebrates hero 9 I have and my go2

Really liking the comparisons, although I would have loved to see some comparison too the Hero Session 5, because a lot of FPV pilots still use that and are on the fence about switching to the Action 2. Great in depth review. This looks cool. I just wish you were able to connect external power to the lens part. Having no inter changeable lens kind of sucks. I'm curious to see what other mods you can attach to it. Is a 360 coming out soon maybe?

I give you mad props for actually giving feedback on this camera and mentioning things like. The non-removable lens, the lack or rubber grip, the fact that this camera could break easier over other action cameras. Especially when being used as a FPV/drone camera! Nice job!

Not inlove at first sight , seems like this should’ve just been a new product line like the “DJI POV” and kept the traditional form factor of the action. Might be getting the Pocket 2 to pair up with my Original Action. The QS button is a crazy miss

I agree with this. I think they felt the need to hop on the modular train that Insta took off on. I primarily use my A1 for snorkeling so physical power, record, and quick switch buttons are most important. Should've just done he Action 1 with better sensor and wider FOV

@@tenphan0n0 if you already have action 1 why would you want another action 1? i have action 1 and im happy with this action 2. why? because its versatile. i also have dji pocket, insta360 one X2. different cameras for different usecase. if this was just upgraded action 1 , it would be an easy pass. most gopro users are still on older gopros because most people dont need that extra 5k and specs. dji took the innovative route to bring something more unique. for snorkeling stick to action 1, you really don't need anything more. if you want to vlog, get pocket 2, if you want cool 360 get one X2, if you want small magnetic and chest strap camera, get this action 1, or insta360 go 2. i would go for this because more resolution and fps, than the go 2. but thats the categories of the cameras.

I agree.. this is a new product line and they should have upgraded the first version and also released this. Now I have to decide if I try and find a version 1 at a reasonable price to buy!!

Don't get Pocket 2. It is a dead platform, hasn't got a firmware update since January. Maybe a Pocket 3 is coming.

EXCELLENT video & EXACTLY what I was looking for! So glad this is in a small, yet useable form factor & not a clunky connect interface like the One R (which what kept me from purchasing post trial), much more streamlined & easy peasy (esp. I would imagine for motovlog/hot swap from helmet to bars (not while in motion, lol) & loads of other uses)! Thank you for showing that portion in clear detail, it makes all the difference. Now a quick question if it's ok? May I ask what bracket you use for your motorcycle bars? My last just did not hold up. Thanks so much!

I just picked up a power combo on sale for $299 aud after looking at the GoPro 11 at 3 times the cost here in Australia. Love the video thanks for the great review and information can't wait to get my new DJI and start having fun.

Excellent video there! Just one (of many questions)… can you transfer files on the main camera to the sd card on either the second screen module or the battery module when connected and thus freeing some of the very limited 22gb on the main body?

I don’t want for vloging as in selfie mode but want audio. (Think use on motorcycle etc) Also can u use a Bluetooth mic with it or have to use their wireless mic? Torn between the two combos.

I've owned several GoPro Hero's and a DJI Action 1 which is a good camera. Most of my filming is on the water in potentially high impact scenarios and lots of sand. I also use screw-on ND filters for bright sunlight. Two biggest issues I had with the Action 1 was field of vision and not being to easily swipe the screen on the back for camera functions when its wet. I'm getting my head around the new form factor, but I need some sort of protective cage (for the camera only) that will shield the lens against impact and sand plus have an attachment point for a safety leash.

Great review! DJI again pushing the boundaries, great innovative features! For me the original Osmo Action is still unbeatable considering features / size and blows out of the water any go pro in terms of value. The mayor drawback of the Action 2 is its inability to use filters and the price...

I am amazed by the modularity and spec prowess of it all. The form factor is amazing for real sporting and aerodynamic events. Not that I'd want my Hero6B to fail but that's the camera that's caused me the most frustrations of them all and in a way I wish I could part ways with it.
