Appreciate the transparency. School's are cheap I know but you're definitely underpaid for what you're delivering - especially to 1,500 kids. That means each kid is paying about $1.50 for the DJ. All anyone has to do is watch that video to see how much more you're worth!

It's 3:43 in the morning and I'm literally going to lose sleep over this. WHATTT!!!??? THAT SCHOOL NEEDS TO NAME THE FOOTBALL FIELD AFTER YOU OR SOMETHING!! I'm a very balanced and measured person, I just can't get over this. I'm in a state of continual shock. every DJ should give you at least five bucks for this one

That school got a bargain, should be at least 3 to $5 per kid I can't believe you did all that work for $1,000 profit. You had to have at least 30 hours into that. I will say that looked like an amazing group of kids, dancing and singing the whole night. If I was going to do a ton of work for not a lot of money I'd want to do it for a crowd like that. Honestly though, 2300? My mind is freaking blown. I'm in shock, I just can't get over that. God bless you sir, that is a lot of work..... 2300????!!!!! 🤯

That's a massive prom. I mean holy CRAP. By far the biggest I've ever seen. To the point where I'm shocked they allow it because even from a safety perspective...that's WILD. I'm going to echo - you're WAY underpaid for that one. We have one this weekend that is maybe 600 kids and that's a $5k prom. You won't get any pushback. That school is making a TON of money on that. CRUSHED ITTT!!!

Killer job! The lighting would have looked a lot better if the venue would have dimmed those chandeliers a bit more (not your fault). You def deserve $5k-$10k for that gig…that’s a ton of kids tickets had to be $10-$15 bucks at least maybe more. Raise your rates next year guarantee they will book you again for $3k. I didn’t know what to expect when i clicked your video but I know a good DJ when I see one…And the guitar riff really brought the atmosphere to life. Well done 👏🏼

As usual you nailed it, excellent job! There must have been a lot of censored rap songs in there! Haha drives me up the wall having to deal with clean edits as most of these rap artist don’t make clean versions, I don’t do the subscription model on anything out of principle so I don’t do record pools, think of making my own edits in audacity but it’s a pain in the butt.

Hey thanks! And appreciate what you said. I *think* the sound was appropriate for the room / group, and the word from the admin and students was that it was good. I try to keep the sound clean / not overdriven, but still LOUD. Especially on the center of the dance floor. If you’re at one of the tables on the side of this large rectangle room, I aimed to let you hear the music but also be able to talk with your friends. Some of the students told me they appreciate that. In terms of speakers I had three Jbl SRX 15’s (each 2000W each), crossed over at 100hz with the subs - two rcf 8003 asii’s (2200W each) plus two dual 18” Turbosound cabinets (total for the 2 cabinets: 6500W). Plus two side fill jbl eon 15”s.
