I think if your hair causes your pants to bulge, its probably time to shave it. You also have to consider hair odor permanence which is when hairs absorb bad smells internally over time. It takes a deep cleanse for this to be removed. Otherwise you will finish showered, examine the hairs and still find a hint of odor. The poor man's effective method of dealing with internal odors is to trim down the hair. I personally prefer this over hoping that an expensive cleanser can deal with the problem for me. Besides all that, a hairless body isn't all that bad and it makes for a cleaner look too.
