I have created a vacuum clamping system that can clamp materials quickly.
It utilizes a device that evacuates using compressed air.
The device that creates the vacuum costs only $ 15.
The vacuum area is 13.9 cm x 13.9 cm
The ultimate vacuum of the vacuum equipment used is -92kPa.
Theoretically, it is possible to chuck with a force of 179 kgf.
It can be adjusted to an angle that is easy to use, and the clamp does not get in the way, so work progresses.
Since it uses a rubber sealing, no clamp marks are left on the wood.

Shure we all share that! 🙂 Think I can say that for all your subscribers and watchers. Can you explain how this great thing works? On the first seconds you are showing pressure from the pipe, not vacuum.

Is it just me or does JSK have access to the most beautiful plywood on the planet?!? I don't believe I've ever seen one blemish or imperfection and the plys are always free of voids, too. JSK, you're a phenomenal craftsman; thank you for all your videos.

I have the same thought every time. It would cost me the equivalent of high quality hard wood to get that fine ply

Afaik the wood for Japan has a higher quality standard (compared to us and Eu). This would explain it.

@@i.buchmueller9171 indeed. It's actually tougher to find lower grades than the higher grade stuff. Then again this was when I was last there, 15 years ago, so it might be different these days.

I keep being amazed regarding how clean your work is. no mess, no fuss, no nothing that should not be in the shot or on the bench, it is a pure pleasure to watch.
Once again, I’m completely impressed. A most excellent fixture.
Geez, every time I'm looking this guy build something, it gives me goosebumps.. It's that slow and sure build style and like a sterile room feeling. Brrr.. Anyway, hats down to the master! =) I know japanese carpenters are known for extreme diligence, but still I'm actually surprised of the precision level he achieves.. =o ... with wood... Cheers, Mr. Jisaku, keep on the excelent work!
Once again, Jisaku, has surprised us again with a great idea, brilliantly realized. Once again the genius and the mastery of know-how, put into action. A higher level. Thanks again, Jisaku.

I look at the chaos in my workshop and I'm embarrassed at my amateurish wood-hacking compared to the sublime perfection of JSK's work. Artistry in woodworking.

Wouldn't that be great IF every DIY'r did this? I get so bored of worthless rhetoric that is nothing but waste. In a word, "CUT TO THE CHASE".
This clamping jig is absolute genius 👌👌👌
This is awesome! Been wanting something like this since I saw the festool vacuum clamp in action (and then saw the price of the thing). Thanks so much! For those (like me) who didn't know what that valve device was, it seems to be a venturi vacuum system. The physics of how it works are pretty nifty.

Just re-watched this video and have come to realize I did not grasp the full implications of this build when I originally watched it. As a result, I am completely amazed buy this build! And, I'm as intrigued as I could be. I'm wondering if a cordless inflator, such as a Makita high pressure 18v or 40v model, could power this system. A cordless, COMPRESSOR-LESS, portable vacuum clamp would be an amazing fixture, if you ask me. Anybody have an idea on this? I'm looking into it! Thanks, as always for your amazing build video, sir. You never cease to invigorate and inspire my creative mind!

That little black tube he brings in at 0;33 is a Venturi vacuum pump they work by blowing a stream of air past a small port like a carburetor sucks air/fuel out of the bowl of a carburetor, I just have never seen one in the USA. JSK neat trick well done.

Sei un fenomeno! 👍
the idea and execution are excellent. 👍 let me offer some advice ... in all protruding frames make a groove 2 ... 3mm deep this will allow the vacuum to spread more easily.
@Adscam
3 жыл бұрын
The clamping force is dependent on the net area. There are sufficient deep grooves for vacuum. Let me give you advice that making additional small shallow grooves are not necessary in this case. Cheers
Wonderful !...
