High idle could be the breather lines, send the rocker cover to a catch can and let it vent to atmosphere then block the breather ports on the inlet manifold. Also once the megasquirt is on you should be able to delete the MAF and run it on speed-density

I was thinking on doing what you did with the mixing manifold and have the coolant return from the heater core to turbo to manifold. The only problem with that is that the turbo coolant fittings seem too small... i could also just do what you did and route heater out of the way. Main reason i want to do it is to clean up a bit and not have exhaust manifold heat on the coolant

Man that valve cover turned out awesome, motor looks a whole lot better cleaner hahaha. I'm already putting my vote in for hyper blue or electric blue or whatever you call it. For the color of the car when Mark paints it. I'm very impressed with how much skill you have taught yourself. You must have a very high IQ. God bless brother

Can hardly wait for the build test.Yes,those open ports in the intake are a big part of the vacuum problem. You do need 1 small line from the to the 'blow-off valve' unless you're doing 'spring pressure open' only for now, which is fine. You aren't trying for 600hp.I think you did well.Brent at PFI certainly could tune it for you.Colorado's a drive for that though, and you don't have a special engine control system,so save the $ and find local.

When I did my miata timing belt i ended up replacing the idler pully and that made the vehicle idle easier and with less effort in theory so just turn the idle screw to get the right idle

Off topic question, How have you managed to keep your old 18v dewalt batteries going? I have some that wont take charge, I keep telling myself im going to rebuild them "one of these days" Im not familiar with the 2JZ mod, though it does add a neat look are you concerned of something falling inside the timing case?

Aren't you worried about chips in the oil pan. Oil pick up has a screen, but still a little risky. Also how heavy was the pan? Was it cast or thin stamped sheet metal

Excuse me, but why doesn't this fit into the other channel? It's mechanical, it's modifying stock to something better, and thats not so different from what you do on the other channel. I mean everyone grows up, and they evolve into bigger faster builds, be no different than playing city, and school baseball to the college level as an example. Your viewers, are doing the same if they're not already older, and some of us probably old enough to be your parents parents. We appreciate what you're capable of achieving, and the younger one's will get plenty of the normal builds that you do as regular content. Besides the welding, and engine work on the Suzuki really are more inline with the adding a turbo to your Miata if you think about it. Plus even at my age, I wasn't satisfied with how well my lawn tractor preformed, are how wasn't able to go where I needed it to go. So exhaust modifications were done, as well as air filter also upgraded, and even dumped the turf tires for tractor lugs on all four corners. I've still got some improvements in mind yet to come, but like everyone else it takes time, and money to do these things. Plus something I learned long ago, if you change a bunch of things at once. How do you know how much each change did to improve to reach your goals. Because something my actually cost you in more loss in some areas, and only marginally gained in another. End goal is to improve it all the way around for a machine better suited for what you need, and are want. So you confused me with the reasoning behind not doing this on the other channel, but then I'm old man, and easily confused these days. Either way enjoy your channels, and the snowmobile engine powered mower was a great series in my opinion, and I bet it's a blast to ride. Slicks, roll bar, and wheelie bar would be a good time for sure. Although setting it up to road race would be equally a blast too I'll bet. See old men still enjoy such things too, only difference is what we once could do, now we dream about, and watch younger one's actually do it nowadays. Stay safe and be well
