Turbo Miata Gets More BOOST, More FUEL, And New LINK ECU! IT RIPS!

The miata has been ripping at 250ish horsepower for a few years, but its never really ran right and its has very little monitoring and control over the car. Now on the Link we have control of E fan, AC, Lambda, Cluster, Boost, and much more on the fly now. 1000cc injectors, Link, Radium fuel system, and a slew of new sensors really made this car drive like an OE car now.
Guess the horsepower of the black M2 miata to win some goodies!

It was a Bergenholtz car. But its up at SPEC-D Drift Series in Canada now. Just drove it the other day

Do hub dynos have you input wheel size? The force at the tires would be a function of the leverage the hubs have over them so if the wrong wheel size was put in you would get a different reading

161 whp for the black car haha..! Also says a lot about how much fun these boosted Miatas are to drive. Especially when it's a pro drifter who is used to 1200hp :P
Sounds sick on boost
2nd gear!😂 My ND1 made 290/277 @11 psi on a mustang dyno BEFORE we turned up the boost to 12.5psi max. Mine seems to hook a little better on 2nd gear roll ons. Probably due to the boost spool which I’m OK with 😂. Yours seems to spoil instantly inciting a rodeo ride of wheel spin.
Stock Bottom END? Link finally came out with the NB2 VVT ECU eh? Might switch from my ms3pnpPro IDK. Love it. Awesome little ripper.

What’s that an fitting going to before your throttle body? And what BOV is on your car? Sounds so good!
My Miata head cracked last week. The only small silver lining was the weather is awful here and I have a spare head. It needs a turbo too, but I want to make a decent built bottom end for it.

@@chelseadenofa My stock block was run with a bolt on ebay turbo til it cracked the rad and warped the head by the previous owner, the piston and rods were fine when we took it apart!
Curious to see how it holds up at that power level. Link is the way to go. My megasquirt ecu needs an upgrade. Will this car see any track days?
That's badass what an updated ecu can do. I've been scoping out newer systems myself for the built e36. Its still on an electromotive tec3r stand alone from 2005. It made 1000whp on that setup. Been curious what an ecu update and maybe e85 could do.

@@chelseadenofa awesome. Also have seen some great numbers from people like Rk Tunes doing obd2 big power tuning. Know anything about that? When the car was first built obd2 for the e36 hadn't been cracked yet we converted the m52 to obd1.

243hp looks about right. Such a light car, they always feel like they make significantly more than they do. I remember on a run in tune making 160 and thinking it must be around 200

Yea, but we made 260 before at 6 psi less, softer timing, and 2.25” exhaust. No way we went backwards haha

Isn't hub vs roller dyno like saying wheel hp vs crank hp? Just slightly different points of measuring it?

I would love to put a 1.6 ecoboost out of a fiesta st into a Miata. I have a big turbo fiesta st that makes close to 400whp and the motor is a tank and the power band is really good.
