DIY Tiki Torch | Mason Jar & Custom Pole

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

TIKI TORCH TIME! D.I.Y.
In this video I show you how I make a custom Tiki Torch. I used a one quart mason jar for the lantern part. The pole is made from pine and the top that holds the jar is oak. This was fun to build and I used entirely "scrap" or left over wood. I used 550 (camouflage) cord for the wrap on the handle. 1/4" round steel stock for the spick. Yes it will rust...doesn't bother me. It's in the ground anyhow!
For the piece I called a pummel or whatever..lol I make that in this video:

Absolutely brilliant! My woman showed me this video and said you most likely got lucky that night. I'm not sure if she was giving me a hint but I'm gonna make some before the day is out. Additionally I like the multi functionality of them as well. Not only are they tiki torches but if someone invades your weekend grillin you can snatch 'em up outta the ground and use 'em as a spear.

Nice!! The final product isn't my style, but I gotta respect the DIY creativity and zeal that resulted in a good-looking piece that doesn't look like a quickie glue-gun and pipe cleaner project. Hats off!

I would want something made of cobalt blue glass. I love cobalt blue glass so much, I may marry it. I also wish I had the tools you have, but I'm working on it.
