Last weekend I went to Santee Alley in LA which is known for having tons of fabric and is around the corner from FIDM in downtown LA. My friend lives across from FIDM in downtown LA and every weekend I go just to see the new fabric. It’s a must stop if you visit SoCal!

Do you, or anyone in the comments, have any tips on sewing thick fabrics like this? Specifically with a brother cs6000i sewing machine? I decided to go with a skirt out of hoodie fleece for my first project, and my machine is struggling more than I expected.

I have an unrelated question to the video hopefully you will answer. What are the best types of fabric for making blouses? I have spend the last two years in my pjs due to work from home but now it is time to get out of my cave. So need to make some new blouses to have something to wear with dress pants and even jeans. Any help would be really appreciated.
