    I just made the blomma tank and did not understand the neck and arm hole instructions at all so I ended up just doing it the normal way haha. Glad I saw you make this!

    I absolutely love this. I love your taste tbh. I’ve been wanting to make a nice loungewear set or two, but never got to it, nor did I find patterns to make them, so this is just great. 😊

    you can use a zig zag stich. it allows the fabric to strech. just the finishing wont be the same but knits normally dont fray.

    Use a zigzag stitch. That’s what I did for years before I had a serger but I had 3 kids and lots of knits. Works great.

    Steph! About the wool popping up: I discovered this year that steam-ironing wool makes makes them SO insanely profesh, if combined with a 'clapper' (i used wooden boxes from ikea, just be sure to use unfinished wood). The most crips wool edges I've ever made :o And they are *fixed*. 🤯 How it works: - press on the seams with steam and a pressing cloth (the steam softens the wool fibres) - after steaming, press on the wooden clapper/anything unfinished wood and let it cool (the wood absorbs he moisture from the fabric and sets the fabric in place) I saw this video from Bernadette Banner on pressing kzread.info/dash/bejne/X22Kprxvla3feqQ.html. I watched that kind of on a whim, and now my mind is blowwwnnnn. After that I made a Modern Sewing Company #MSovershirt in pink wool, and it's the most crisp thing i've made thus far 🌠

    What’s your trick to printing the A0 size patterns in a way that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg???

  • @stephtime

    @stephtime

    2 жыл бұрын

    My local copy shop will print them from $4-$10 depending on length. It’s definitely not cheap, but I’ll do it when I’m running low on time. There are also online services that will print them and will run deals sometimes! At least with my local mom and pop, I’m happy to support their business 😅

    When you made the curved pockets, how did you make the curved part lay flat? Did you cut notches?

  • @stephtime

    @stephtime

    Жыл бұрын

    Hey! Honestly it was pretty finicky. What I would suggest is to cut a piece of cardboard the size of your pocket and use it to fold the edges around. I don’t think I cut notches, just folded.

    Awesome vid! weird question but what's the thing on your desk that has all lines and grids on it?

  • @stephtime

    @stephtime

    Not weird at all! It’s a self-healing mat. It’s used under fabric when you cut with a rotary cutter, but having the measurements there are super handy as well!
