This is going to be for me and my dogs!
Paul I retired from a pool store and I would recommend changing that filter to a small sand filter. Those paper filters are not very effective and most people deal with algae issues when the heat comes. They may work for a small stock tank but a sand filter will save you hundreds of dollars over time. If I may add, please use an oxidizer in the tank to keep it clear. It will eat the skin oils and bacteria in the small body of water and keep it crystal clear. I love the idea of having a stock tank for something to cool off in and I had many customers who did so with great success. You did a great job explaining the process! One more thing! The pump should run one hour for every 10 degrees weather per every 10 thousand gallons .

Would you recommend using a pool liner? Maybe one you could change out every other year. I've heard some are insulated. Great idea about the sand filter.

Thank you and thanks for watching.
I remember the original video! glad you got it set back up. We installed an above ground pool in the backyard last year ourselves. Kerri insisted she get some sort of pool since I got a shop, tractor, and mower, hahahah. It was during my phase of not wanting to do any videos after the lightning hit the house and had no computer or anything. We went with a 30' diameter pool that is 2 feet into the ground.
I have a slight decline in my backyard I need to make a base for it this seems awesome

Thanks for watching Brenda. I am going to cover it just not sure how yet.
Thank you, very helpful. Does the bottom of the pool get buildup, meaning, do you ever need to scrub the bottom or sides of the pool?
@ProjectsWithPaul
Жыл бұрын
No. just keep the the chlorine, ph and alkalinity in check. Thanks for watching.
Excellent videos. Would you please post the Intex fittings needed. I have searched eBay and Amazon but the pictures do not look like the threaded intake and exhaust fittings you have. the only show the hose clamp ones. Thank you.

I added them to the description. Thanks for watching.

Thinking about doing this to replace our jacuzzi. This would be better for our needs. Wife can’t use the jacuzzi because of the heat. Plastic holding up well in the sun? Seems everything thing here (SC) made of plastic becomes brittle. I’m thinking I will go over the top with piping to eliminate drilling through the side.

Yeah holding up good so far. I bought it in 2020 and it's always been outside. I pressure washed it this year and used a little bleach on the stains and it looks as good as when we bought it. Thanks for watching.

Can you use the drain hole with an adapter to connect to the pool filter instead of drilling two holes?
@ProjectsWithPaul

It would be difficult to find something that would seal up.you would be better off just hanging hoses over the side. Thanks for watching
Paul, where did you get the rubber gasket for the inlet? Did that come with it?

How many hours do you think I should run the Flowclear 58664e with four hoses for a Rubbermaid 300 gal stock tank? Cant find anything on internet or Bestway. Also, how many chlorine tablets do you recommend?
@ProjectsWithPaul
Жыл бұрын
Just a couple hours a day should be fine. I put four 1 inch chlorine tablets in my floater and they last about 8 days. Thanks for watching.

@@ProjectsWithPaul Now, we have a problem. Pool is filled and most of the hoses are leaking to include ones going directly into pump. Can you recommend a better one. Unfortunately, my husband made three holes.
Do you have plans for the seating thing you have?
@ProjectsWithPaul
16 күн бұрын
I don't have plans but I made a video on how I built it and I believe there are some measurements in the comments. Thanks for watching.
On the pump size, should I get the 2500gph or just stick with 1500gph? I got my plunger valve kit and my stock tank already 😁😁
@ProjectsWithPaul

I like the 2500. It's quieter and has a bigger filter. Thanks for watching
Can you enclose the bench to make the pump more quite?
@ProjectsWithPaul
Жыл бұрын
I guess you could. I recently upgraded my pump to a c2500 intex and it's much quieter. Thanks for watching.
how durable is the tank? can it be partially buried? or best left above ground?
