DIY Headunit Installation VX 200 Series Landcruiser

This headunit interface kit application applies to all VX and Saharah 2016 - 2021 models, and not the GX or GXL.

This is what I am looking to do with my LC (when I get one). Do you know if anyone has converted their head unit and AC controls from a Sahara to a GXL style with the fan speed as a button control instead of within the display? In the US we only got the Sahara trim as standard, and this is something that everyone would love to change. Edited to change VX to GXL

Glad you got something from it mate, this same kit can be used for sahara with the optional HDMI cables to display to the rear headrest screens.
That’s a great idea can you get this of the new screen in the 79?

Not to sure buddy haven't looked into units for the newer FL 70 series models, aside from the Kenwood we installed in our '21 79. The Kenwood was a whole unit replacement, not an interface for the stock unit.
