I kept thinking oh please add brass rods. When you said you were going to add brass rods, I literally gave you an air high five. Also, the colours in the runner are so complimentary to Kenobi's colouring. He is so handsome.🐶❤️🌺😀

Saturday is the Only day of the week that I am excited for! I am Subscribed to quite a few (embarrassed to say how many) channels, who load on different days But Danie is The channel, the One that I will Never drop for any reason & The channel I look forward to throughout the week! Wanna talk about depression on the 4th week where there isn't a video😢, I got time! Basically I can't express just how much I love this channel❤! Gosh, I sound like a rock band groupy, a hanger onor, possible stalker (where does she live?) No worries, if I ever see a celebrity in the wild, I wouldn't approach them because we're strangers & I don't need directions... I've loved all of your creations, well all but that one😂.JK❤❤❤ Thanks for the content!
Wowza! What a difference the runner made! The whole staircase looks designer. The runner you chose matches your home perfectly.😊🧡🤎 The brass rods are very classy.

Dani truly deserves more than 300k. There are other creators who are on a not so great level but somehow have many more
Gorgeous! And the best part was Kenobi sitting on the landing. Beautiful boy!
Anyone else take screen shots of Danie’s hair for their next haircut or just me? 😅 seriously goooaaaaaallllssss, this journey you’ve been on for it is making it look so shiny and healthy 🎉 Also for the cushy parts, ReStore, Facebookmarketplace or even carpet installers for carpet underlay scraps. I got a about a hundred square feet in odd sizes for about $ that way and have used it everywhere, under kitchen runner, a few layers under fabric for bench top, even the cat tree 😊
27 minutes? Yaasssssss! I love a long video

HA! I dont do it on purpose but these projects take time!
I once saw an apartment that was so cool, it was a mix of industrial with soft touches. The stair runner was a beautiful blood red and instead of brass rods they used rebar painted in a gloss black. It was stunning!
I love love love this!!! Not only did your stairs turn out beautifully but this guide was comprehensive and very helpful! Thank you so much!
26:34 you've summed up my exact philosphy on style: not following any one particular style, but only finding objects for the house that you are drawn to and love. Somehow they all go together in the end. Looks great !!
Dani, what an amazing job you did! The rug is beautiful, and I think that you made the right choice in where to begin and end. BTW, I always love your hair, but the honey blond is gorgeous! As always, thank you for sharing your process!
This has been one of my favourite videos you've done, as heard that Dunelm are doing a stair runner, and have been dropping big hints to hubby,( would have done it myself but I'm disabled now, and live in frustration at not being able too do stuff for myself). Love watching you as you so remind me of myself at your age. Big love from England 🇬🇧 ❤️
The first video I watched of yours was the stairs video. I can't believe it was 3 years ago. I love that rug. It's gorgeous. Have a great day😊
It looks good, better than naked stairs! The rug has a nice pattern and it's nice how the pattern ended up on the stairs in nice places. Rods are the jewelry on the stairs. Nicely done! Now - need some photos or art above the hand rail, maybe?
At first I was a little disappointed that this video was about a stairway but I was wrong -- this was great to watch. And it looks fantastic! If I had a set of stairs in my house (we don't, our house is one story), I would definitely copy this. It makes a huge difference in the way the stairs look and if you showed a view from your living room (there was only a fraction of a second glimpse), I bet it enhances the living room also.
Dani, this turned out great and I also love the brass. As for what your style is called, it's the same as mine. It's called "my style." We don't need to put a label on it to please other people or conform to someone else's sensibilities. 😊
What a difference, the stairs already looked good but now they look more finished. I love your channel
First time I was able to watch the whole video at once! Usually I get inspired multiple times to go do a DIY, clean, or build something in the middle of the video and don't finish the video until the evening.

You always put a smile on my face. Your humor, wit and demeanor ❤❤❤ I had to laugh when you were deciding on how to install the runner. Exactly how my mind works, then I get stuck on which idea to use. The stairs are beautiful, bonus Kenobi approved. Thanks for sharing your ideas and creative thoughts with us.
Love the runners colors and pattern. It truly has totally transformed the stairs from blah to wow.

Happy Weekend
Band moms know about this stuff. Every time my son marched in high school band on artificial turf he came home with a little baggy of this stuff. It sloughs off and gets in their shoes. He thought it would be a cool idea to collect it for a year. He had a small jar at the end. I hope you encase it enough that you don't find little black rubber bumps all over the place.
I think your stairs look awesome and I love that you follow your heart and decorate in the ways that make your soul happy! You are always such a pleasure to watch. You are not only talented, but down-to-earth, refreshing, and funny. If drinking your green juice helped make that happen then sign me up! LoL
What a fantastic upgrade to your stairs, you did a great job on this project! I love everything about it, from the black background paint color, to the rug you chose (swoon!), the brass rods (double swoon!), to the fact that the color scheme matches the coloring of Kenobi's coat perfectly (triple swoon!)! Kenobi is my most favorite dog ever, he is so handsome and I can tell he really, really loves you! Is he as perfect in real life as he appears in your videos? I bet he is! 💖💖💖

I love your new stair runner rug. Great job! Adding the cushion underneath was an inspirational step too. It is clear Kenobi loves this upgrade.
Snazzy! Certainly takes the stairs up a level. You nailed it. You know how to cut a rug. I was thinking you were going to bind the raw ends of the rug. Bet the landing will now be Kenobi’s new Sheldon’s spot. So glad it’s now safe for everyone. Thanks for the encouragement to do my own stairs, mine are chipboard with 25yr old pink carpet. Just bought the stringers to make a step outside.❤

Great job on this, really looks so much better(not that it looked awful before). Having had dogs all my life, slippery floors/stairs can be a real problem, so I'm sure Kenobi is breathing a sigh of relief and is saying "thanks, Mom".

Ohhhhh…the brass detail is perfect!!! Also the runner is so pretty! 😍
Girl, you outdid yourself! The rug pattern is 🤌! Exactly what I would have in my home. Unfortunately, I could never have an expensive rug that I couldn't wash. I foster dogs year round and gave up on rugs a long time ago 😭 But I really do love what you did. Good job!!!
I remember putting in a stair runner 20years ago😂 Oh my you are right it isua work out! Jute when stretching is always a moment. I think you inspired a lot of the new generation with this video. I would have loved a close up of the brass rods after installed. I thought it was clever. Thank you for sharing!💖💖💖
As you stated - it brought LIFE to the stairs!! Beautiful!! And! King Kenobi has a nicer throne!! Have a blessed day and a fabulous weekend
I absolutely love that runner... it adds the perfect amount of colour and design .. 🙂
The runner is beautiful. The safety factor is not only more traction but makes the end of each step more visible. Wonderful thought and great execution!
If the ends start to fray, there is a thing you can get at fabric stores called fray check and it works great. I love the end result and more importantly it's safe for your adorable baby. No slippy slide pupper.

Shout out to the editor!! Videos are top edited too!!! 😎
That rug is super beautiful ! Very craftsman cozy. I’m headed to Etsy to save this shop for future use. Kenobi is so adorable. ❤
What a great job! Plus you listened to the professionals! After all the issues AG had, I was worried... Trust your late night 'happy' shopping self! BTW, your hair looks so good! Healthy and a great shade.
The carnival ride joke hit me square in the giggles. Pretty good!
Anyone else get brought right back to picking out all the little black bits of turf from socks, shoes, bags, hair, SKIN, EVERYTHING when Danie pulled out her turf? 😂😂 That stuff gets EVERYWHERE hahahaha This runner looks great and I bet it's so cozy on the feet!!😊 Happy Saturday!
Looks great, and I'm so happy for Kenobi! The stairs will be so much easier for him now. ❣
I appreciate you clearing explaining your steps and the reasoning behind them.
That runner is STUNNING. That turned out so beautiful
This is so cute!! ❤ These little DIY home renos are always so sweet and they truly make the house a home What I would do to calculate how much runner carpet you need I would use like a flexible sewing measuring tape and wrap it around one of the stairs like you will the carpet. Because it's flexible you can truly shape it to the stair. Then multiply by the number of stairs + some extra just in case.
Wow that stair runner is so beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous
Wow! That runner is gorgeous. What a difference.
I didn't realize quite how utilitarian my style preferences lean, ie, "oh no, that's going to be so much harder to clean, I hate it, why would you- oh, pupper is slipping? Carpet away!" The pattern, colors, and material look so great in the space though, who knew natural materials and wall effects would mesh so well :P While I personally would never go for carpet rods since, again, one step harder to clean than before, it does bring in the material and tone from the rest of your house, and kind of grounds the stairs in a way so it's not just one note, but a cozy sampling of multiple facets of your style. I actually really love how it turned out, despite all my doubts going in. I hope you love it, and that Kenobi enjoys his new spot!
This is so nice! I have been wanting to add a runner to my stairs and it his is a beautiful example of how it would look! LOVE! ❤
Me loves a good pun. Keep 'em coming :) Love the rug. Love the rods. It all looks amazing. Great job. Must admit, I was surprised to see that you put the black side of the underlay face down. I expected it to go the other way.
Looks amazing. I also love the style of stair runners. So much more practical and comfortable to have carpeting on stairs than painted/hard wood stairs.
Your hair is stunning!!! Suits you so well. ❤️❤️❤️
OMG I haven't seen Twinkle since I was a kid! Too funny! I'm 67 btw.
Lovely, this is what I want to do with my stairs too.
When you cut the tassels off and said this won’t fray. I immediately thought “I’m a frayed knot” (I’m afraid not) 😏 but then I saw where that part of the rug was tucked and was very relieved 😅 - absolutely no need for glue or concern. I am glad you took the extra step in adding the brass rods, it really elevated the look of your stairs and took them to a new level 😏. They look so beautiful I wouldn’t be able to stop staring at them 😏. ❤❤❤❤❤
on last suggestion - Quarter round molding on the floor to finish off that last step into the living room.
Looks great! Congrats on 300K! We're looking forward to the garage-do.
I love the extra brass detail you added. It's just *chef's kiss* 🤌🤌
This is a totally random comment Danie, but your hair color right now is GORGEOUS and suits you so well!!!
I feel like those corner dust things would’ve been perfect for this
That runner is STUNNING. I love the transformation! ❤❤❤
I love it! And Kenobi looks beautiful striking a pose on the landing.
That looks great! It makes such a difference to the area. Its cosy and inviting - LOVE it!!
It looks great! So glad you added the brass rods! And the runner matches Kenobi!! ❤️❤️

So gorgeous!! Kenobi looks very handsome sitting on the landing.
I didn't even have stairs, but this makes me want some. ❤❤❤
WOW! That stairway is EVERYTHING. Congrats on your step up to 300,000! Get it. Step up😅!!! I crack me up!
Love love love. Brighten the whole space. Glad Kanoby is happy. Love the rug. Looks so great
The colours and pattern of the rug is PERFECT! It adds texture and warmth and a touch of colour to that space. Really gorgeous. Well done!! I have a stairwell project coming up this spring. I tore the carpet out during the pandemic and then life took over and it’s been sitting there waiting to be completed. Honestly, a big part of it was that I just couldn’t decide how I wanted to go about it. I’ve been humming and hawing about whether or not to put a runner on it. It seemed very intimidating. This showed me how worth it it is to do it 😊
I love this! I saw there are brass rods where they are removable so you can vacuum under them. Maybe that would be more expensive… the rods are so simple but make a huge impact for sure!
I love it! Kenobi looked adorable on the landing 💛
Girl you’re so funny. Kick the ball ⚽️ man. I just love your humor and outside the box answer to things. You rock my saturDIYS.
I still love that rock painting
WOW!! I love how it turned out! You crushed it. I have always wanted wood stairs with a runner. Just like yours. I have carpet, so it’s all fine. But yours looks so Chic! The colors are Fantastic!!! Brass rods are the cherry on top!!
Love how the runner kinda gives Zelda vibes 🙊 I love your videos girl! You are so fearless ❤
Danie, stair perfection! The gleam in Kenobi’s eyes says it all. ❤️2U & yours Boop
Congrats on the 300K!!! Well deserved. Love the make-over. The only thing I would change is to move the brass rod up, just under the lip of the step, rather than at the bottom of riser. Love the feel of the rug and would have never thought of putting an underlay underneath.
That stair runner looks terrific. The brass rods look so classy. Our cat destroys any carpet on the stairs with her scritching murder mittens, so I'll vicariously enjoy your lovely runner😂 congrats on a well deserved 300K subscribers too. 👏👏👏

I really love your rug choice. Maybe you should order from now on when your "feeling really good"😂 The stairs have come to life. It'll be interesting to see if those who did this coming down the stairs would try going up and confirm if theres a difference🤔 Well done Danie, I love it!!
Well, you definitely got your steps in today...lol! Looks great really adds to stairwell as it's own moment. Save the padding remnants for knee pads when you start gardening! Feel better
It's so much lighter and cosy. I love the color matching with your art piece.

Danie, that hair is VERY beautiful! Best cut and color you ever had (in 2y since i follow) imo.
Those stairs look very Dutchie!!!!!
I love it! It lightens up the whole stairway while adding warmth. Oxymoron? Nope, just Dani-fied!
Yes ! I love the destination you found for this lovely Etsy rug ! The brass detail enhances the hole look and what a good feeling to see you barefoot and Kenobi climb the stairs safely ! It would have been so sad to find out you got hurt bad one morning while, for example, climbing down the stairs barely awaken to go and and fetch your hot cool combo. I can't believe it has already been 3 years since the last time you tackled the stairs ! Wow ! Time moves fast sometimes ! I will be looking out for the AG1 because I lack vitamins and I like the powder style of the formula. Thanks for your energy that alone makes me want to move mountains and spend a great weekend !
