You might want to cut the crimped part of the clamp or maybe unscrew the elbow?

Nice to the point video, thanks. My water tank is under a bench inside. Watched your video to see how to mount one under the floor to create more space inside. Mine is over 20 years old and not failed. Did you do figure out why it cracked in the first place, tank not mounted securely, maybe? Don't want to do this again in a couple years. Also, I'm not a fan of how these trailers are built. Seeing the wires coming up through the hole, did you consider better wire organization to avoid chaffing and future failures, maybe some sleeving. I've found few issues myself.

Thank you. Yes, the factory accidentally cut too deep when cutting out the opening in the laminate flooring. This resulted in a score on top of the water tank which eventually cracked open. As far as support for the tank, that seemed very good so I’m not too worried about it creating future cracks. Yeah, the wiring these days could be a little better to say the least. I will be adding some split wire loom tubing to protect those wires better. Best of luck with your project and happy camping 🏕️

It was a good three hours to remove and replace the tank. Some of that time was because of recording. The hardest part was getting at the tank support bolts to remove them and removing the crimp from the water supply line. If you have the proper tools handy and understand the procedure, it should take you about two hours.

Did you cut the hole to get to top 2 hoses?

If your talking about the hole in the floor from inside the RV, that hole was there from the factory. I believe that’s how the tank was cut, looks like they accidentally went too deep with the knife when cutting out the laminate flooring.
