It’s nice to see kids helping the parents do outside activities. That’s a rare thing to see now a days. Plus they get to learn something while they’re at it.
Love those raised beds. Great design to make best use of space and easy to access from the inside. Fun seeing the family all pitch in on the project.

It was truly a group effort!
Looks great 👍 .I like the cut in areas so you can step into the garden space to work/harvest without killing your back. Good thinking.
Wow!! Gorgeous and a good height!!
Beautiful job! Will build something similar when lumber prices are reasonable again. I have an abundance of deer that I will need to keep out.
Wow!! This is quite a palace. If I were a cherry tomato, I be overjoyed to grow up in this house. Looks awesome.
Excellent work. Thanks for sharing. Love how you got the youngin's working too!

Team effort... brilliant work!!!
Man that's a nice solid setup. I'd never be able to get a post dug in my yard with all the rock. I just attached my posts to the sides. Won't go anywhere with all the dirt and rocks around it.
awesome work sir and kids
Watching in Ireland beautiful job I am also a raised bed grower I wish you and your family many years of joy in growing your own food and experiencing the magic of nature God bless you all ❤

I'm in the process of having a similar Raised bed garden built in my backyard. I'm so excited!!!! Yours is a bit bigger than mine. Your wife is a lucky woman to have a terrific husband who is also very Handy 😊
I seriously need to move out of the city...and breathe. Thanks for sharing. Love the design and the build.

Thank you!
I think I like this idea. I usually come up with my own, but was looking randomly through garden vids and saw this one. I think the only difference I'd make is to put treated(not near food) 4x4s horizontal, and build up, without sinking posts. And making it in sections that hook together. Movable. But yours is more solid.
This is a great design. Our son built one too.
You do fine work my friend..

Thank you so much for the kind words!
Beautiful
Good job!! Really like how the whole family works together! Can you please tell me how deep did you dig the ground before you laid down the gravel? Thanks!
Very nice!
Great design!!! love it!!! I would like to know if it possible to get a list of the materials used? especially as far as the amount of wood, how much and final dimensions? We would really love to build one !! Thank you
Good work
2 years ago... when the price of wood wasn’t as high as your mortgage payment... in California, this was reasonable. Now... this is a life changing event! You have to dig into savings or a 401k if you still have that!
You gave great Lil helpers!
Wow! Amazing

2:50 look at all the work you have done. It would take me a week with the auger, maybe two weeks. Amazed😱
That is very nice

Looks great. Seems critters can get under the gate but I'm sure you just did something smart like maybe a 2x4 or 4x4 footer. I'm planning something similar and thinking through an impregnable gate...
Love it! Any plans available for this?
How come there is no option for 2 thumbs up? This is super AWESOME and I NEED ONE!! So smart to screen it even larger animals like deer can't get in. Only have to worry about birds.
Good job thx for sharing Be safe God Bless
Beautiful work! Do you happen to have a cut list and dimensions? I’d love to use it as a guide.
Stunning raised bed garden! We have been talking about doing a raised bed garden, as we have a big deer problem and also have clay soil. Love your plan! You and your family have done a great job on yours!!! Would you kindly tell us what kind of wood you used and if your are going to seal it w/ food grade linseed oil or anything else? Would you also give the approximate cost to build it, the number of man hours to build it with your helpers, and if you have any other tips you could pass along to us that would help us in trying to build one of these? Would you be willing to share your plans & materials list and best place to purchase? Must have one of those augers before undertaking this project! Thanks again for sharing your gorgeous raised bed garden!!!
This is great! My wife and I are doing the same thing But on a much smaller scale. Got a question though. What are the benefits for the sticks?
Love this design! Really think it will help me build my garden enclosure. Does anyone know if Shawnee Hills has a cut list or other plans for this design available for purchase?
Fantastic🏆, wood love to see top to use as a trellis for Chayote plants, etc.
I love this. Do you have the plans that you can share or put them on your blog for purchase?
This is beautiful! In today's prices, this is 4.6 million dollars in lumber, lol :P
do you have a plan for this with a shopping list please? This is wonderful
Love the set up. We already have raised beds and want to add fence. What type of wire did you use?
Hello! Do you have another more in depth video? Would love to know how the top board goes on and how the door was built.. we are almost there . Getting the posts today ... thank you
Great video and design. How's it holding up after 1.5 years? Anything you would change?
This is awesome! You must be an engineer lol

It's a wonderful system, love the way it looks. Something I noticed and was curious about. Did the grass that you dug up and put in the beds come up?
Very nice. I wish
Fantastic work!!! We have 4 wine barrels for our garden protected by an old trampoline safety net. I really need this! We have a few acres and deer that like to feed off our fruits of labor. Is there a follow up to this amazing video with dimensions & materials used?
The only change I'd make is going about 10-12' high and cover the top also, that way you can grow some smaller trees inside or not cover the top but still have it that high encase I want to turn it to a green house.
Did you line the ground with a wire mesh for burrowing critters? Vols and such.
thanx
beds look awesome, did you use pressure treated? How has it been holding up since you built it?
Do you have set of drawings for the awesome garden? Was wondering about the dimensions? What is the height of the garden bed service?
Bales of hay would make a good filler too. Nice job all around.

Yeah, and that would compost quickly too!
Amazing job. What was the size of this ?
This is an all around amazing build. But I can't help but think it was a little overkill with holes no??? The outside 4x4s I can see why, but is it really necessary for the inside holes?
Hey mind me ask . What was the rough stimate for that?
Question about the sticks - - it "seems" like they are filled kind of high....what is the gardening logic behind that? Trying to learn for my own future raised beds. Thx!!!!!
What's the first song? Awesome design BTW!
That’s so nice that your kids are actively involved as well. I want one of these can I pay you to make me one in my backyard? I’m in Jackson Michigan 😁👍🏼
This is my second time watching your video, as I'm gaining inspiration to build my own soon once full Spring is in effect. This might be a silly question, but I'm puzzled regarding treated lumber. Everything that I've read states treated lumber is what needs to be placed in the ground, and the treated lumber at my stores is that dark brown heavy stuff that's injected with chemicals to make it last. Your treated posts have that real "wood" appearance and the grain looks much nicer then what is available to buy at my local big box stores. Do you at all by chance know the difference of what I'm talking about? Thanks in advanced, and great video!
This is awesome. I have been planning to convert and older 80' x 22' garden for a while. Been getting inspiration with many ideas, and what you did captures pretty much all of it. Haven't seen the tomato trellis vid yet but have the space in between to do that and of course I'll be seeing how you did it. Thanks so much for sharing! Love the wood idea to fill the beds. I have PLENTY of that to get rid off. Question... I do want to have stone/pebble floor. Would you do lay rock first, or install this and then fill? My guess is that later as it's a waste of stone but I'm pretty newbie so figured I'd ask. :)

i added the stone after. BTW, I have a video coming out at 4pm eastern today showing a new addition to the garden! It's one we have LOVED!
