One of my favorite tricks is sewing patches on shirts, that way you don't have to worry about ruining a shirt if you mess up just restart the patch, plus the stitches look cool, or cutting up other shirts and sewing them on. I went to a goodwill and found a highschool band shirt that said 'the resistance' with a fist, so i cut that part out and sewed it on a plain black shirt. This is also good for when a shirt is too small or big but you like the logo.

I'm laughing so fucking hard right now. I was watching the video and remembered I bought fishnet stockings last yr, and put them away since I didnt feel v comfy wearing them at the time but thought they were cool. The last few months I've been trying so hard to find them, and I couldnt. Then I'm here now, looking for them while watching the video AND I FOUND THEM. Seriously fucking magickal shit going on lol. Really fuckin love the look the one shirt you did with painter's tape - I think I'm gonna borrow that idea and use it for a shirt i've been wanting to make. LOVE the ACAB batman pin, it's such a cool reuse idea. Also, as a queer punk, made me feel very happy seeing your "feer the queer" button, "mothman says trans rights" patch, and "punks respect pronouns" shoes. Solidarity! Suggestion: clean + cut cellophane snack bags and glue them reflective side up to buttons. You can also draw with sharpie on the cellophane and as long as you give em time to dry they should retain their design.

Loving the videos so glad I found your channel when I did, since I just started customizing and making clothes and stuff and like this gives a lot of inspiration and motivation. Also love that you’re encouraging creativity, nowadays everyone only buys from mainstream brands and never support small business and things like that, as well as fast fashion which really sucks. And I’m glad you’re encouraging and inspiring your viewers to reuse clothes or go to thrift shops and work on your clothes from there; not only does it create creative minds, but it also helps out the environment as less clothes will be dumped in animals’ habitats. I also write and draw on my shoes and for the sole part i use waterproof markers, for the canvas i use paint bc it will sometimes leak if you use markers

ik im not op but here are some popular bands from a few different subgenres of punk to get you into the subculture: Rancid (anything Tim Armstrong does, really), The Germs, Fugazi, The Misfits, Black Flag, The Specials, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Andrew Jackson Jihad, Bratmoblie, Against All Authority, and Bad Brains just to name a few. for style, if you care, i suggest looking at photos and interviews of those bands as well as pintrest, v poser-esque ik, but it can be really helpful

Ive had the same problem with whites , what works for me is soaking it in a little oxiclean then throwing it in the wash . I used to use bleach 😳 but that made the stains worse lol .

one thing that also works for changing up buttons is to disassemble it, put a printed picture over it, cover that with transparent contact paper, and put the back back on. works rly well if you wanna have something above ur artistic skills (i did that to make a three cheers for sweet revenge button) or if you dont have decent paints you can draw/write something on paper and use the same technique (i wrote "fuck the cistem" and painted the trans flag w crayons)

After the paint dries you can use mod podge as an after coat, that should make it stay :)

I know it's a little late now but something that works on a lot of smooth surfaces is sanding them down, if you don't have any sandpaper available u could also use a nail file or something like that :) It works good for me a lot of times

I‘m always worried about the colour washing off when I wash the shirt. Will the colour stay on or will it wash out quickly?

Depends on what you use. My fabric painted tshirts have always stayed dark. The Mischief Brew shirt only faded because I didnt wait long enough and j may nit have used enough coats. I have another black on whire that is still plenty dark

So let me get this straight... I'm Punk and I'm worried about my health? This is the first time I'm seeing a Punk that doesn't smoke and cares about his health, to be honest. I'm sober and not smoking only when I'm asleep 🤣. Not to mention when I used to squat with other punks back in '99, there was one guy we called Shakes and he would actually wake up just to smoke a cigarrete or snort some Ketamine. Damn, new generation of punks sure forgot what Punk is all about - having fun and not giving a shit about what anyone thinks. Music is just a bonus pretty much. Also about that thing with the band and stuff. That's a lame ass move. If a patch goes on to your vest, it stays there, no matter what. Since the mid 2000s we knew that Wattie from The Exploited was a nazi supporter and hanging out with boneheads, not a single punk gave a shit about it. Some would just place another patch over the Exploted one or they would spray paint something over that patch, but never take it off. Another thing to point out about patches and stuff, never wear 1312 or ACAB unless you ARE going to or willing to harm a member of the law enforcement. We've seen people wearing that stuff and when cops got in their faces they were begging to be let free and stuff. And guess what... They were stopped because of those patches. If you are going to wear something - represent it and stand your ground. If you are wearing ANTIFA or anti-faschism stuff, you'd better hit them where it hurts, the first change you get. Not just stay in your safe space with similar people and shouting stuff. If you are in all that gender specific stuff, I'd advise to not get in to the political side unless you can actually do damage. And what the hell with Tim Burton? He is a racist? HOW? This line just destroyed everything. Wow!
